You guys should have one fairly testing adventure before gaining your first level.
Wizards can be a bit of a pain. I kind of wish Sage had the spell retrieval variant (like spirit shaman), since it's like a sorcerer in an even bigger candy store as it is. 'Course nothing's stopping you from making that if you don't mind getting your hands dirty.
Alright then. Monk/Wizard it is. Hopefully someone casts divine spells so we don't all die. Once we hit epic levels, my character will develop an epic resurrection spell. And a healing/restoration one to be safe. A modified version of Jen's White Wind spell will probably work.
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
it also can apply metamagic on the fly with spellcraft checks.
Wait what? Where does it say that? I just read over the class, and unless I'm missing an entire section from Magic of Faerun, there's nothing in there that says Incantatrix can do that.
They have a class ability that lets them apply metamagic on the fly twice per day, but there isn't a spellcraft check involved is there?

Are you using the Player's Guide to Faerun version? The one in Magic of Faerun is outdated. MoF was released 2001, wheread PGtF is 2004, and therefore the up-to-date version.
What Halinn means, if you are using the correct version, that you can apply metamagic to effects already in place. This doesn't sound too hilarious until you realize that you cast buff X on yourself, and then if your spellcraft is high enough, you apply Persist on it, effectively persisting 3+Int buffs at the beginning of the day. Those buffs can be of any spell level, too.

The Sage is occupied with the unspoken
and acts without effort.
Teaching without verbosity,
producing without possessing,
creating without regard to result,
claiming nothing,
the Sage has nothing to lose.

Oh, yeah, I was using the MoF version. I guess I've got to update my character sheet with the correct version. The correct version is quite a bit more ridiculous than I originally thought.
For the low, low cost of 60 DC Spellcraft, you get a 24 hour Black Blade of Disaster? Unlimited Clairvoyance with a Spellcraft check of 42? Apparently I've underestimated how crazy the class is.

Free persistent spells might count as abusing a feature. Or for an epic gestalt campaign, it might be fine. I'm going to initially restrict it and see how things go in a few levels.
But the cooperative metamagic is the real gem I think. All you need is a second caster.

It's not going to start soon. And first of all, people have to finish their characters. Then I'll look them over and use them to formulate a more detailed plot.
Oh, right. I was going to mention the bonus reserve experience you start with. The normal rate for all classes is the amount for artificer -1000. So for level 20 artificer gets 5000 and everyone else gets 4000. Additionally, if you use LA buyoff you have to spend some or all of that reserved experience (3000 points for buying off +3 adjustment, and it will cost you 6000 experience to buy off a +4 adjustment at level 21, and so forth). This reserve can be used to pay anything that takes experience as a cost.
On successive levels I will give out a pool of reserve experience to the whole party. You can choose to divide it up equally or take more than your share in exchange for gold at the normal rate, or for credit at the interest rate the other player decides (using "per looting bonus" as the basic interval of time).

oh sorry, this one had completely skipped my brain, I will try to get on it tomorrow as I am a bit too tired to think clearly tonight.
May need some help finishing the character though.
Also, it looks like I may have to drop Drow Millennium as it doesn't appear that anyone else is taking an interest in it. Hope that doesn't deter you from running this campaign?

In order to select my starting languages I kind of need to know what languages are core to this campaign setting. Additionally it would help to know some of the background of the campaign setting so that I can get an idea of what to do for my characters background as my character will likely have a somewhat unique background compared to the others in the campaign due to his race.
Also, are we really sure we want me to write up a background for a Kender? because a background story taken from the perspective of a Kender... is going to be a NOVEL quite literally.

Keep it mind that I'll probably change a bunch of things about it though.

Preliminary Remake of my Character
{Magic: The RPG}
Oh, and on further review, I'm one of the guilty parties. Still need the bio. I had it all thought up, but apparently I forgot to post it.
PS: I think Halinn is probably out. He dropped out of my game due to a busy schedule.

So if someone volunteers to cross over, that'll work out nicely. Otherwise I may have to make one of you mandatorily volunteer.
{Magic: The RPG}
Does that mean you need a character from me after all?

You can write a backstory in third person. Not that I, of all people, mind "novels."
