This campaign will start at level 5. I want a maximum of five players. I already have four. There is one spot left open.
I reserve the right to deny any character concept, be it class, race, or whatever else I can think of.
LA buyoff will not be used, so if you take a race with LA, you'll have to live with being a level lower than the rest of the party. The maximum LA will be +1.
Players are expected to post at least once every few days. I'll mod along characters when I think it's needed, but I'll try to avoid it if I can.
Your characters have to be either good or good-tolerant. No evil characters or evil-friendly characters.
House Rules:
Mamelon 32 point-buy for starting ability scores.
Godslayer HP progression, which means full HP on odd levels and half HP on even levels.
Sorcerers automatically gain Eschew Materials as a bonus feat at level one.
Sorcerers gain bonus feats as a Wizard, but can only use them for Draconic Feats, Metamagic Feats, or Spell Focus.
Wizards can use their bonus feats for any magic-related feat, instead of just Metamagic or Item Creation.
9,000 starting gold.
Monks can take Weapon Specialization, Greater Weapon Focus, and Greater Weapon Specialization for unarmed attacks.
This will be a military type campaign. You're soldiers in an army, not Special Freelance Adventurers of Greatness and Fame and Wealth and Awesomness.
Don't expect to be treated special just because you are the PC's (at least at the beginning of the game). To the higher-ups in the army, you're a faceless, nameless sword-arm.
Please PM me your character once you've finished so I can approve it. Myth-weavers character sheets are preferred, but not manditory.
Bonus XP will be granted for good RPing and consistant posting. This bonus XP does not count toward level-ups, and is used for spells, item creation, and maybe even other things that I won't tell you about right now.
Any custom items you want to create must be PM'ed to me before you put them on your sheet. 90% of the time I'll say yes. I just want to know what they do and how much they cost before you add them.
I expect some detail in your character's backstory. You're only level 5, so it shouldn't be too complex, but it should include your character's story up to level 5.
For the record, your characters have been in the military since at least level 3, possibly sooner.
Here's some tasty backstory to give your characters some depth and to help you get a feel for the game.
The continent of Saenbir is a divided land. There are many kingdoms, territories, and small outposts. Wars were once common; alliances breaking, being reformed, changing, and otherwise being maneuvered for advantages. The contient was in constant chaos. Naturally, this had to end.
The seven strongest and most influential nations formed a council in an attempt to stop hostilities and bring peace to the continent.
Those nations are:
Celphina, a northwestern nation of mostly humans.
Althian, a western elven nation.
Zakhud-Dim, a southeastern dwarven kingdom.
Aricana, a northeastern land of spellcasters and magic.
Icespire, a northern collection of warriors and combat specialists.
Ilyumi, a politically-savvy land in the southwest.
Endale, the most diverse of all the kingdoms, which sits at the heart of Saenbir.
Endale is the location of the Council, and neutral territory.
All seven of these nations have a councilman who sit in Endale, and discuss and make judgements about national and continental issues. The twelve less-powerful nations have representatives on the council, but the seven most powerful hold all the cards.
You're all in the same army, which is actually a loose alliance between three different kingdoms:
Celphina, Althian, and Zakhud-Dim.
Celphina is mainly human-populated. Celphina controls a medium sized northwestern part of the continent, and is located on sweeping plains and grasslands.
Althian is mainly elf-populated. The small Althian kingdom sits in the forests and mountains of the western region.
Zakhud-Dim is mainly dwarf-populated. Zakhud-Dim is located in the south-eastern mountains, on the almost completely opposite side of the continent from Althian and Celphina, and is the largest kingdom on the continent, and one of the most powerful militarily.
Althian and Celphina are traditional allies and share a close friendship. Zakhud-Dim has had a past of conflict with Althian, and by extention Celphina, due to Dwarves and Elves traditional dislike of one another. They are occasional allies, politically speaking, however.
Recently, Zakhud-Dim was the target of an unprovoked attack by their neighbors to the southeast and the northwest. The southeastern swamps are home to a collection of goblin, orc, ogre, giant, and troll tribes. They have recently tried to lobby politically for a chance to be named their own kingdom, called Gzekhad. They were denied by the political council of the 'civilized' nations.
The kingdom bordering Zakhud-Dim's northwestern edge is a small kingdom called Hyrin. The majority of their army is made up of what are generally considered the best archers around. Why they would attack a more powerful kingdom is unknown, and has been likened to suicide.
Zakhud-Dim was caught completely unaware by the sudden attacks, and lost more than ten garrisons and six small towns in the first month of fighting. Hyrin has been intercepting all of Zakhud-Dim's attempted communications with other kingdoms, and killing the messengers. They are also stopping any supplies from reaching Zakhud-Dim's borders. A single messenger and a single leagion of dwarven troop managed to sneak past the Hyrin blockade and deliver a message to Althian. Althian immediately shared this news with Celphina, and together they prepared for war.

That kind of gold amount deals with ECL, and we're Level 4, but ECL 5.

Question, if i play a Goliath would you still force me to take the proficiency feats with Goliath Greathammer and Mammoth Leather? i mean the entries talk about how this is Goliath stuff so it seems unfair i have to take two feats to be able to use them normally if i make the guy a goliath

The Goliath Greathammer you can have proficiency with. Mammoth leather is another story.
Basically, if a weapon or armor has your race in it's name, you're automatically proficient with it (Orcish Double Axe, Dwarven Urgosh, Elven Thinblade, Goliath Greathammer, for example). But if it doesn't specifically mention your character's race in the title, you'll need to take a feat to be proficient with it.

OK i can live with the Greathammer alone 3d6 aint too shabby and in any case ill be using heavy armor so the mammoth leather aint much of an issue... gnomes get a lot of insane stuff under this ruling though thankfully no one plays the gnome
and just for flavor im getting ranks in Weaponsmithing after all in the battlefield you would need people with smithy trainning to fix damaged weapons

I would just like to point out I've been adding lots of backstory to the original post. It seems like it works really well with your character's bio so far, so if you were to incorporate certain setting elements into it, it could be a fantastic bio.
As is, it's still really good and is perfectly synergistic with the campaigns overall story.

I would like some background on the kingdom of Zakhud, like monarchy, prominent clans, deities being worshiped there, this will be the basis not only of my bio but also for the being able to select my deity.
Zakhud is ruled by a king: Burrik Forgetender.
There are three 'noble' dwarf clans, and half a dozen 'normal' dwarf clans. The dwarven society of Zakhud-Dim lives, obvously, under the mountains. There are also other beings who live on Zakhud-Dim's mountain ranges who are considered to be under Zakhud-Dim's jurisdiction. Half-orc communities and nomadic Goliath tribes are the most prominent mountain inhabitants.
The noble dwarven clans are Forgetender, Rocktender, and Steeltender.
Forgetender is the dominant clan, in charge of all goings-on in the kingdom, with Burrik being the head of the clan. The Rocktender clan are the king's left hand, their leaders being the diplomats and politicians of Zakhud-Dim. The Steeltenders are the king's right arm: the military. Zakhud's generals and army commanders are all Steeltender elders.
Deities: Most non-evil, earth-related, dwarf-and-goliath-related deities are worshipped in Zakhud-Dim.
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
Thanks.
Can't wait to begin.
Destler's going to be such a smart-ass.
On a more serious note, if you haven't realized it, any details that are not totally clear in the bio are yours to use.
The noble houses involved, the name of the Tiefling mercenary who is Destler's father, Destler's grandfather, the other family members (except Lira and Laucian, who I named), the location of the country estate, etc.

Bio looks good Ti'rin.
{Magic: The RPG}
Someone once asked me why, when I talk about House Dimir, I don't put the word "the" in front of it.
At the time, I had no answer, but it just came to me.
Do we put the word "the" in front of God? A Storyteller is not a GM. A GM is God. God is one of the Storyteller's little minions.
