Actually, Amadi's right.
A weapon without an enhancement bonus just can't handle the enchantments that make for the special effects.
So you cannot have a Keen longsword or rapier that doesn't have an enhancement bonus applied to it.
It needs to be at least a +1 Keen Longsword, and therefore cost 8315 gold.

Never forget: there's always someone bigger, better and stronger than you.
Someone once asked me why, when I talk about House Dimir, I don't put the word "the" in front of it.
At the time, I had no answer, but it just came to me.
Do we put the word "the" in front of God?

All things magical are considered masterwork, but the reverse does not apply. Not all things masterwork are considered magical.
The point of the masterwork rule for magical items is two-fold. First, well-made items can handle enchantments, weapons that aren't as well-made cannot. Second, there are certain prestige classes that require a masterwork weapon, and this way the game doesn't limit the character to a non-magical weapon.

Let me see if I can make it clearer.
Weapons come from the smith with two qualities:
Normal and Masterwork
A normal weapon can be made by apprentices or by a smith when he's sick.
A masterwork weapon requires extra effort from the master smith.
A normal weapon has too many imperfections in it to hold an enchantment, while a masterwork weapon has few, if any, imperfections.
The first enchantment put on a weapon or a suit of armor must be a +1 enhancement, as that enchantment acts as an anchor and helps to hold other enchantments onto the weapon or armor.

Wait wait wait clarification thing again just reread some posts. So in order to have a +1 modifier the weapon must first be a +1 magical item first? I'm confused. If I want a keen longsword can't it just be a masterwork keen longsword and have the +1 modifier?

Well here is Aman Varilya. He is a cleric of Corellon Larethian and ready for action. Well if he get approved that is. Race and such are already approved but if anyone spies any rookie mistakes let me know. I probably got carried away with the possession detail but I am used to being specific for table top games. Never hurts to have a reference of items I guess.

Half done, just waiting on Amadi, Halinn and Yukora.
Added Aman's character link to the first post.
Now, one thing I don't want is to have discussions about character builds during the game.
As such, any protests about characters should be done before the game starts, as once it starts, no protests means that you tacitly accept the character build and that's the build that will be used.

Sorry for my delayed sheet. Life has managed to get ridiculously busy and family has a funny way of piling on problems when you least expect them. I will be posting my sheet for this campaign soon, I promise.
One thing about that - I usually don't scrutinize a character sheet until after something weirds me out. Will pointing out errors without going into an argument later on be allowed?
I wouldn't worry too much about it, I will be keeping an eye on everyone's characters and looking at the sheets, but I don't want to be getting into a campaign and having a player jump on another because of AC or a save that the first player thinks is ♥♥♥♥ed up.

I realize that, but I am enthralled with both the character that I am making for your campaign and the one that I am making for Fenris's and didn't want to miss out on either one of the campaigns.
I'll be here, and I will get them done, I am just way too damned busy these past few weeks.
As long as you're having fun making the characters and think you'll have fun with them, delays don't really bother me (and, as far as I know, won't bother Fenris either).
However, I have a character exercise for everyone (especially people I haven't worked out a reason for yet, you know who you are):
Why would your character be in a Thorp-sized (population 20-80) community near a forest?

So what do you say Ti'rin? Give this chap a chance?
Edit: I would be using the Rogue Variant from Races of the Wild btw
