Calling all potential Dungeon Masters! I'm very happy to see the amount of activity we see on the P&PI, but I think I can speak for Avatar of Kokusho when I say that we'd really like to see more than just us two running successful games. I'd like to see one or more of you out there trying to run a D&D game or so. It doesn't have to be deep, or unique--just something we can get into, even if it's a one-shot adventure. While it's true we have a few campaigns waiting (indefinitely) in the wings, I'd like to see something out here.
The leading cause of campaign death in the P&PI is the lack of attentiveness and keeping up. People neglect to post and let the campaign sit into obscurity to the point where it merely dies. I'm guilty of it, and so are a few of you out there. If you are gonna play, please, please PLEASE try to keep up with your game daily, even if you have to poke your DM, or poke your players, or double-bump the thread. If the DM can't continue, please let another DM pick up where you leave off. If a player can't continue, allow a different user to play the character.
To those of you out there who poke around and don't play, I encourage you to try and start a game. There are dozens of one-shot, free adventures on the WotC website for you to try and run, and they're all laid out.
If you don't have experience playing, please, please try to let us know! The d20 University isn't just for show. I'm trying to get a small tutorial game going, but I know there are a few more of you out there. Get involved!
As someone who is enjoying the heck out of running my (fairly successful) game here, I encourage you to try it. It's actually far easier to run online games than it is IRL games, because you can not only play with people you could never get the chance to play with normally, but if someone pulls a fast one on you, you don't have to pull an answer out of your behind immediately like you do at the game table!
And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

This is Deraxas we're talking about.
Remember, the girl that just killed an aspect of herself before literally consuming her?
Yeah, I don't see her handling a pissing match in any way other than a duel.

There are only so many epic, psuedonatural barbarian/blackguard half-dragon akutenshai vampire balor paragons they can throw at you, right?

I suppose it's true. Though the logistics implied in a human/Great Wyrm Prismatic Dragon pairing makes me shudder.
...Something tells me that even should all arcane casters in the world unite, that the Grease spell would NOT be sufficient.
Not to mention that, as an admin, I think AoK has the right to permit people to join the Dungeon Masters group, or can at least speed the process up.
Honestly, playing online has its benefits--it's not all jammed into one smelly evening with your friends. You have all your campaign info and more at your fingertips without rush. You can plan farther ahead.
Plus, as a member of the Dungeon Master group, you have access to the special super-secret DM's forum
I'd be willing to do something, although I'm not exactly that good at developing quests...while I am trying to set up Ether's Arkham by night game IRL, I doubt the two will be anything alike...

I've DM'ed a couple of games IRL, but most of them died out due to my cousin's lack of awake-ness. Seriously, the guy stays up till 7 in the morning and sleeps till 6pm.
Anyway... All the players who were awake said it was really fun, so I guess I did something right. I may be interested in being a DM. I'll let you know later if I'm 100% interested.
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
Also.. I'm considering revising the rules set forth by Photon--pretty much allowing you to run and play in however many games you think you can handle.

I've DMed 3.5 DnD (forgotten realms) once in real life, and a game of Shadowrun in real life as well. I feel i'm better with shadowrun, but Dnd is always fun.
I was thinking about running a trial shadowrun game, if anyone would want to give that a try (and if i'm even allowed to).
I'm a very good DM. Though I tend to control my campaigns strictly, very few of my players ever leave bored. I have several campaigns over the years, i'm now running v. 3.5 of course with my own twists.
If anyone is interesting in playing, and i'm allowed, i'll be happy to run a campaign.

Blasphemy! The system is perfect. The ability to create a spell to duplicate gods at skill check DC 10 is totally balanced and doesn't say anything about the system's viability!

Seriously, though, we could use more DMs.

Should I join the DM group, or just start a Character creation thread, then decide it I want to be a full-fledged P&PI DM later?
Like I said, I've DM'ed a few times IRL, so I have some experience with it.
