There was a rushing of wind as the door opened. Theron was literally pulled out into the hallway. He stumbled forward as the wind pulled him along and into a room where he was surrounded by eleven doors. The hallway closed behind him.
Theron stumbled a little as he found himself in the new room. He looked around at the various doors, trying to determine if anything distinguished them from each other.
Frowning, Theron flicked through his vision types looking for differences. If that failed he moved up to each door in turn, pressing his bare hands against their surface and listening closely.
His vision.... Didn't seem to be working in the same way that it usually did. But as he approached the first door it seemed to literally radiate cold. The next made him feel warm. one made the hairs on his neck stand up. One of the doors seemed to make everything a little less bright than it was before. One door smelled of roses, and another made him cough as if dust were in his throat. One of the doors made him feel strangely attentive, while another made him feel more aware of the world he couldn't see. Another door smelled of a stable, and another gained a mirrored finish so that he could see his own likeness when he approached. The final door he reached seemed harder to get to than the others, as if there was something pushing him from it.
Theron found himself in a room with three doors this time. One door held a mirror, the other had the image of a trident, and the third held the image of a drake.
Theron finds himself in a room with two possible doors. Both doors have a portrait of him on them. one of the portraits has silver arrows flowing into his body and the other has them flowing out of his body.
Theron stood looking at both doors for a long time, trying to puzzle out what kind of meaning they could have. He found himself oddly put off by the image of all those arrows pointing at him... instead choosing the outward arrows.
Go ahead and run, you'll only die tired.
Those who might never meet are pooled together
Theron walked forward towards the door and opened it.
Go ahead and run, you'll only die tired.
Those who might never meet are pooled together
