Laghairt went into the back room of the Black Bear Tavern to find the usual layout. Several sparring arenas circled a massive iron cage meant to contain whatever fight was held within. There was room enough for a more dexterous fighter to use their skills but not so much as to allow a huge distance between warriors.
Kherren waited in the center of the open cage, arms crossed, waiting for whoever would respond to his challenge.
Laghairt sat his pack on the ground outside the cage and Gigan climbed on top of it, as though he were there to guard it. The huge Ogofta then entered the cage and nodded towards Kherren.
As Laghairt's leg came screaming towards him, Kherren felt like his moves were somehow sluggish by comparison. Luckily he was able to step back with the targeted leg and slap down on Lag's leg as he did so, stopping the kick from connecting with his upper thigh and instead giving him the option of pulling back or pushing forward.
As his right leg's course was changed, Laghairt turned on his left foot and extended his kick. This shifted his right foot's path to have it move pass the inner side of Kherren's other leg without hitting the Garr.
(BP + 2: 192)
Kherren's reaction to this move was to bring his right arm forward in an attempt to knock Laghairt back, hoping he would achieve the feat before the other warrior could secure his new footing.
Kherren's shove did knock Laghairt backwards. As the Ogofta went backwards, his right hand moved to grab onto Kherren's cuirass and his right knee raised.
(BP + 3: 193)
Kherren released his anchoring stance and allowed himself to be pulled forward, pulling his arms in an attempt to distance himself from Laghairt's rising knee. He leaned into the pull, aiming to fall onto the ogofta.
Now that Kherren was close enough for Laghairt's left hand to reach him, the Ogofta grabbed at the Garr's cuirass on its left side and shifted his own weight on his left leg to try and bring both of them hard to the ground on their sides.
(BP + 4: 194)
Kherren went with the twist, having already given up his leverage. He extended both arms as the pair full, intending to break Laghairt's grip and cause them to separate on impact.
Now that the two were falling, Laghairt let go of Kherren without the Garr needing to put too much effort into his push. Laghairt's right fist shot towards Kherren's stomach as they met the ground.
(BP + 5: 195)
Kherren's shove ended up serving a better purpose than merely breaking a hold, as Laghairt's blow came the distance afforded by that move spared him from anything more than a light tap. The garr immediately rolled away from the ogofta and spun quickly up onto his left knee.
As Kherren rolled away, so did Laghairt. The Ogofta managed to make it to his knees and increased the distance between himself and the Garr.
(BP + 6: 196)
The knee hit Laghairt in the stomach eliciting a cough from the Ogofta, but instead of being deterred from his attack, Laghairt ignored the blow and grabbed onto the leg with both of his arms. He tried lifting the no longer rooted Garr over himself.
(BP + 8: 198)
Kherren almost grinned as Laghairt grabbed hold of his leg, swinging the other limb up between the ogofta's legs in a vicious kick as he placed both hands on the man's shoulders.
As Kherren's kick landed, Laghairt's eyes twinged and winced showing that he had felt the attack and one of his hands let go of Kherren's leg. But the Ogofta's had learned long ago to not completely give way to pain. Laghairt snorted loudly and then spit at Kherren's eyes while jumping backwards and throwing the Garr's leg away from himself.
(BP + 9: 199)
As Laghairt pushed the leg away, Kherren extended it as quickly as he could, hoping to clip the ogofta with an incidental kick. He stumbled backwards but regained his footing almost immediately, tensing in anticipation of a counter attack.
Laghait avoided the leg that he had pushed away from himself and watched as Kherren moved backwards. The Ogofta again charged at the Garr.
(BP + 10: 200)
Kherren waited in the center of the open cage, arms crossed, waiting for whoever would respond to his challenge.
Come on and check it out. You know you want to.
Kherren- Ogofta, I saw you fight in Greevan.
Laghairt - I saw you there as well. I believe we are of the same general school of combat.
Laghairt shifted his stance such that his left foot was forward and that his hands were raised to guard his face.
Come on and check it out. You know you want to.
Kherren twisted his left foot ever so slightly, shifting into a rooted stance.
