Heulen sent the driver stumbling and crashing into the rocky ground as his powerful kick connected with the man's back. He immediately spun over on his back and drew a pathetic looking knife.
Vivian- What the he-
Vivian's comment was cut short as another piece of granite clipped his shoulder, sending him sprawling to the ground. Waire rushed to his master's side to see if he was badly hurt, puppy snarled at the group ahead.
Heulen - Don't bother, you won't be harmed if you stay here for us to talk to after we take care of these other guys. If you're really lucky, maybe we'll be defeated and everything will work out very well for you. But if you're not here once we're finished, I'll find you and you will wish you had stayed put.
Christov drew his sword, a darkness erupted from it like a shadowy flame. He extended his left palm towards the man who had sent the rock and a blast of spirit energy went flying towards him. (Hado) the panther roared in a way that made those who heard it slightly less agitated.
Looking at the group Christov noticed the panther's roar probably had the wrong effect, the gathered warriors seemed to have their nerves settled. The man operating the machinist device that launched the granite ducked under the projectile and loaded up another chunk of rock.
Vivian groaned and pulled himself to a seated position, his shoulder looked to be completely dislocated in addition to a rather large grazing pattern. He gritted his teeth and pulled out a brass wand and handed it to Waire.
He sent another hado at the catapult this time. The panther disappeared and was immediately replaced by one that was feral looking and terrifying to look at(inner champion). The panther began sprinting wildly towards the group. Christov began to pace forward.
The projectile from Christov didn't seem to do much to the machinist launcher, but whatever Waire did with the wand Vivian gave him did. Instead of firing normally the machine swung round on itself and smashed itself to pieces.
The creature Christov summoned was a large cat with crimson eyes deep maroon fur, matted and tough. It had sharp claws and crimson eyes the cast about for potential prey. Its back arched and tensed, its muscles thick, dense and tougher than normal for a panther. On look at thing made its purpose obvious. This was a creature designed to pin its prey to the ground and rip out their throat.
A pair of the ambushers leveled crossbows at the vampanther, one missing the other digging into the haunch of the beast but doing little to stop it.
The group headed out to meet the travelers, apparently not intent on using the height of the hill to their advantage. Close inspection revealed that half a dozen men held one or more blades. Three held crossbows, one a longbow, one was stationed by the now defunct catapult. The last two appeared to be wearing a combination of iron mail and plate, and wielded a mace and hammer respectively.
Christov continued forward lifting his sword in front of him in a salute to the enemy, he clenched his jaw and made ready to mete out the fate of these men. The furious vampanther roared as the bolt struck home, and bolted straight for the man who had shot him.
Heulen continued to run forward and swung a clawed hand up, tearing open a space into the spirit world to swallow the bolt. He then transformed into a massive boar and attempted to gore the crossbowman once close enough.

Seeing Christov in danger the vampanther charged the man that threw the dagger. Christov attempted to spin away from the attack while swinging the sword around the opposite way into another man.
Boar Heulen completely obliterated the crossbowman he targeted, leaving behind a crumpled mess of screaming meat and bones. He soon found his progress halted, however, as an arrow from the rapidly retreating archer pierced through his shapeshifted foot and pinned it to the ground.
The dagger thrower did not seem to be expecting a sudden attack from a beast as dense as the vampanther and struggled to hold it at bay with another dagger. Crhistov's dodge was successful but his attempted attack missed its mark as the swordsman performed a similar spin. The vampire soon found a scimitar being thrust towards his chest.
Heulen transformed back to his form that was still under the effects of his boots and pauldrons. He removed the arrow from his foot and cast Sicken on both the fleeing archer and the still standing crossbowman.
The panther pressed its advantage, diving under the dagger and launching upwards towards the man's throat.
Christov stepped back and attempted to bring his sword up and sweep the scimitar aside. His eyes narrowed, he hoped that the panther finished her prey quickly, he needed to even these odds.
**Christov felt horrific pain and suffering coming from the link, as though Misty's luck regarding her condition had run out in a truly disastrous manner.
If it was possible for Christov's skin to further pale then it did. Was it possible that the young light he had only just discovered to have been so quickly extinguished?
**The link doesn't appear to have been severed, but whatever is there no longer feels like the woman he knew.
Whatever it was, it wasn't speaking, and attempts to feel through its senses yielded nothing but darkness, pain, eery silence, and a dim warmth
Minutes would pass before regular sights and sounds once again flowed from the other end of the link. The feel of grass, the view of the night sky, and rustling of a faint evening wind.
Heulen watched as the combination of his transformation and the sicken effect caused the archer to spill his guts on the floor. The crossbowman seemed less fazed and raised his weapon for another shot at the warrior.
Christov found his attempt to sweep the scimitar was less effective, possibly due to the distraction coming through the link, the blade nicked his shoulder but gave him a brief opening against his foe. The other blade wielders began circling round the vampire, one of them intercepted by Waire who came in like cannonball wielding some blade or other.
The vampanther seemed intent on draining its' downed foe of all its vital fluids.
Heulen started to run, slashing another hole to the spirit world to eat the bolt. Although he didn't move nearly as fast as had earlier, Heulen wasn't going to let a small hole in his foot keep him from reaching the archer.
Christov's sword dug deep into the man's chest, his eyes going wide in shock. He flailed with the scimitar, hoping to score a glancing hit on the vampire who had ended him.
The vampanther came sweeping in at the same time, knocking away a longsword that was aimed for Christov's back.
Heulen quickly advanced on the bowman, who was attempting to retreat and notch an arrow at the same time.
Heulen shot toward the driver, aiming a flying kick at the man's back.

Come on and check it out. You know you want to.
Christov - "You may have one soon enough. But let's plan on diffusing the situation."
A panther with golden fur materialized next to him. Something about the presence of the cat caused a feeling of peace.(Gwen cast with soothe)
Go ahead and run, you'll only die tired.
Those who might never meet are pooled together
Vivian- What the he-
Vivian's comment was cut short as another piece of granite clipped his shoulder, sending him sprawling to the ground. Waire rushed to his master's side to see if he was badly hurt, puppy snarled at the group ahead.
Heulen ran over to Vivian.

The group started pushing towards them.
Heulen charged at the men as fast as he could.

Heulen found himself targeted by a crossbow bolt that if left unchecked would pierce his vital squishy parts.
Three of the blade wielders peeled off to engage Christov, the first of the three opened by hurling a massive dagger at the vampire's chest.
