Virtue - "It's not the spiders you should fear in here. It's the bears. They listen to the song of the spiders. A symbiotic relationship. The bears kill what wanders in and the spiders feast on the leftovers."
The entire wall of the tunnel seemed to blaze to life before Burkhard's eyes. The hundreds of thousands of tiny spiders lined the thick webbing covering the wall. He was able to easily see with the bright light only he could see.
On a hunch, Darla pulled out the crystalline remnant of an electrocuted garr's soul from within her jacket, assuming it made the journey with them as their other items seemed to. Perhaps the enhanced magic would cause it to give off ore than a faint glow.
When Darla's skin came into contact with the remnant it flared with a bright white light. The item filled her hand with an uncomfortable but bearable tingling sensation. Virtue nodded with approval at the light source.
Virtue - "That should suffice."
The elf began leading them further into the tunnel. Several minutes and twists later the group came to what clearly used to be a t-intersection. The way to the left had been caved in and was blocked by rubble. Virtue frowned deeply.
Virtue - "This is... Unexpected. The route that we have explored would normally take us to the left. I honestly have no idea what lies down the corridor to the right."
There were spider filled webs covering the debris. The owl shuffled down the corridor ahead of them but it would be dangerous for it to fly in the cave.

After a short time, the group came to a large open area. The ground was covered in some kind of glowing substance that at first glance appeared to be moss. The room stretched further than they could see.
Virtue - "I've never seen the likes of this cave. We should tread cautiously."
As the ground grows more thickly laden with the mossy, clumpy substance the light from the mounds begins to allow them to see a bit more clearly. Out ahead of them they see a vast lake covering the entire center of the cavern. They can't see to the other side from where they are but being underground in theory it couldn't go too far. Just then the owl's foot came down on one of the clumps. The mound erupted in tiny spiders that swarmed up the owl's leg. The owl fell to the ground and began convulsing before it disappeared. There was a rumbling, bubbling sound from the lake.
Go ahead and run, you'll only die tired.
Those who might never meet are pooled together
Darla pushed forward, doing her best to stay away from the walls as she kept an eye out for any other webbing.
Virtue - "Does anyone have a way to light the darkness? Fire is not an option."

Come on and check it out. You know you want to.
Misty felt almost overwhelming hostility from all around her.
Virtue - "I can create light with this ring but it is faint."
The ring began to glow faintly allowing them only enough light to keep from tripping over the uneven cave floor.
