Nevermore Two - "Oh God, here comes Good Cop."

Nevermore Three - "Yeah; he's being' such a nice guy; we should definitely tell him all of our deep dark secrets an' stuff!"

Golan kept an eye on the bartender while Maren engaged the targets in conversation. If something went down, he may have to prevent him from intervening without hurting him.

Nevermore Two - "No. You're creepy. We don't like you."

Nevermore Three - "Yeah, he smiles too much right?"

Nevermore One - "That is exactly what I was thinking too."

Nevermore Two - "Smiles waaay too much."

**The jakari girl shook her head.**

Nevermore Two - "No, you don't look like a happy guy, you look like a....like a...."

Nevermore One - "Serial Murderer?"

**She snapped her fingers.**

Nevermore Two - "That's it! You look like you're a Serial Murderer."

To the bartender, "Do you know who their parents are?"

Nevermore Three - "Why, are you going to murder us, creepy guy?"

Bartender - "Who their parents are? They've got to be nineteen or twenty. That's an adult here, at least."

Nevermore One - "Yeah? Good thing you also look like a wuss."

Nevermore Two - "One that's getting a bit soft around the middle."

Nevermore Three - "Is that why you murder? Because you're sad about your love handles?"

Nevermore Two - "You should love yourself for who you are, you know. You should love your flabby, off-putting, actually-pretty-obnoxious self."

**The bartender shrugged, not seeming to have an opinion on that as the jakari puffed herself up at Maren.**

Nevermore Two - "Oh, so you're a big man AS WELL AS a creepy one? You think you can fight any of us, let alone all three of us?"

Alacritas snickered.

**The three suited youths smiled in unison, then spoke in unison.**

Nevermores - "Yes."

Alacritas shook his head and jerked a finger towards the atarin Nevermore. "You. You and me, outside. The rest of you can keep here."

Nevermore Two - "What, so the big man's not going to fight now? You barge in and throw yourselves in our business, then scream and whine for a fight, and now the big baby man isn't interested? What a coward."

Alacritas tensed, digging his fingers into his right thigh. "It will be our best versus your best. Maren will stand aside."

Alacritas reached out to grab Maren's arm. "NO, it's me and him," he indicated towards the atarin youth. "The others are not worth a fight."

**The jakari scoffed.**

Nevermore Two - "Man, your partner doesn't want you to fight either. That's sad."

Nevermore One - "And pathetic; don't forget pathetic."

**The girl nodded in agreement.**

Alacritas pulled in Maren's arm by an inch, giving the atarin his most intense "don't do anything rash" look. And that is seriously intense.
