"It may be in our best interest to leave one or two of them alive to question them, if we can! Please don't hit the sleeping ones!"
Paravrax casts rounds the corner, then casts Sleep (instead of his previous action).
I'm going to cast Sleep. The point I aim at is going to be right behind the cultist in the lower group that is closest to the top (so one square up and to the left of the lowest statue on the map). Because my second level spell isn't too interesting anyways, I'm going to expend a second level spell slot.

EDIT: Oh, if this is too far away, let me know and I can use the Distant Spell metamagic.
Korvat charges into the room, bellowing. He slashes the closest cult fanatic with his ax, dealing a nasty blow to the man's chest. Taking advantage of the distraction that is Korvat, Lucial sneaks behind the fanatic and strikes him again. The cultist drops to his knees, breathing heavily. Emeryn moves down the hallway, getting closer to the battle. Paravrax leans around the corner, casting a gentle sleeping spell over the fracas. The wounded cult leader and three of his followers slump to the ground asleep.
The second leader turns towards the barbarian who has just struck his comrade. "Bleed," he hisses, dark magic flowing from his fingertips. Korvat's flesh is gripped by searing pain as dozens of tiny wounds open simultaneously. (Korvat has taken 20 necrotic damage.)
@Reed--You have a choice: you can either try to hit the cultist who just hurt Korvat, or you can be guaranteed to hit the sleeping cult leader since he'll automatically fail the save. It doesn't affect what the generic cultists do this round, so I will retcon in however you choose to proceed.
The second cult leader, having just attacked the barbarian, finds himself the target of a blast of radiant energy, taking 5 damage.
The young cultists, seeing their leader attacked, charge towards his assailants. Three of them surround Lucial, while two attack Korvat. The first two strike Lucial with their scimitars (dealing 8 slashing damage total), while the third (presumably Theodoran) smacks him with the broad side of the blade doing nothing. The others both strike the already wounded Korvat (dealing him 8 slashing damage), but he's able to shrug off part of the blows (only taking 4 damage).
Strathalmere lets loose an arrow from his bow, striking the still standing leader in the shoulder. (I assume that's who you're targeting; let me know if I need to retcon.)
This ends Round One. Current Status:
Cult Fanatic 1: Unconscious (9 rounds of magical sleep remaining), bleeding profusely, 30 damage total
Cult Fanatic 2: Arrow to the shoulder, 14 damage total, really pissed off now
Cultists 1-3: Sleeping like evil babies (9 rounds of magical sleep remaining)
Cultists 4-8: Raring to go!
Korvat: 24 damage, 3 HP remaining
Lucial: 8 damage, 18 HP remaining
Paravrax: 1 damage (from earlier injury), 21 HP remaining
Emeryn: 7 damage (from earlier injury), 20 HP remaining
Notes:
Lucial is now engaged with three generic cultists; if he attempts to move without taking the Disengage action, he will be open to three attacks of opportunity.
Korvat is now engaged with two generic cultists; if he attempts to move without taking the Disengage action, he will be open to two attacks of opportunity.
Note: I actually only have 21/22 HP, not full HP, because I whacked myself in the head earlier. I'll figure out my next round's action shortly.
EDIT: I guess I can't cast Sleep again, as that will just knock out Korvat.
Concerned by the attacks that Korvat took, Parvrax cradles the diamond in his hands and summons a lightning orb to dispatch the conscious cult leader, staying by the door.
Casting chromatic orb, choosing lightning. To hit:
Reed ducks forward directly behind Korvat, hidden by his immense size. He places a hand on Korvat's back and mutters a spell. "Fight on, friend." (If I can, I duck back towards the hallways immediately after - I'm not quite sure where the Combat took place.)
I'm using Cure Wounds from a 2nd Level Spell Slot to heal Korvat.
Reed raises his hand with one finger, and points at a cultist (The conscious leader if alive, a generic culty otherwise).
(Catchup) Emeryn is tight-lipped through the first few rooms. It is difficult to say whether her tension arises from the unknown dangers within, or from how close she seems to a long awaited goal - perhaps both. She does voice concern when Dieknuh is found missing, noting that she is a stalwart fighter and will surely persevere until she can be found. Nearly turning to the east as the hall splits past the room with the dragon mosaic, she is drawn back to her companions by the sounds of battle.
Not far after Strathalmere's arrow comes the metal flash of a gauntleted fist. Emeryn catches the outstretched arm from which foul magics spring, and brings her morningstar down upon it with full force.
Attack vs Captain (assuming I can get there without provoking opportunity attacks, if not I will target the first available cultist)
I'll Disengage as a Bonus Action and run to somewhere behind an ally that's the furthest away from the rest of the battle. I'll draw my shortbow and fire it at the nearest enemy if I can (feel free to roll for me if that's the case, but I suspect I can't, so, I will) then end my turn.

Korvat, woozy from the loss of blood, aching from the multiple wounds opened by the dark magic, swings his ax at the cultists surrounding him, but misses. Lucial, taking advantage of the distraction created by the barbarian, puts some distance between himself and the other cultists. Drawing his bow, he fires an arrow at one of the cultists that had been surrounding him, killing her. Emeryn charges towards the still-standing leader, bashing him with her morning star for 5 damage. Paravrax draws forth his diamond, summoning a sphere of lightning...which crashes into one of the training dummies, reducing it to splinters. The remaining leader, severely wounded, mutters a few words. A dark shield of energy surrounds him. He then pulls out his dagger and attacks Emeryn. His first strike glances off her armor, while the second finds a gap and strikes home, dealing 4 1 damage. Reed rushes forward, laying a hand on Korvat. Most of his wounds close, and he feels renewed and refreshed, recovering 17 HP. The two cultists surrounding Korvat strike at him with their scimitars. The first lands a blow on Korvat's shoulder, dealing 2 damage, while the second swings wide and misses. The other two cultist, have just watched their colleague get shot by Lucial, rush to the other sleeping cultists and attempt to wake them up. Two of the sleeping cultists are now awake. Strathalmere fires another arrow at the cult leader, but the shot is deflected off the dark shield surrounding him.
While the battle rages, two pairs of eyes appear from the kitchen (room 9 on the map). Drawn to the sounds of the fight, a two-headed dog enters the room. It is quickly followed by a second two-headed dog. Two Death Dogs have joined the combat, starting next round. Their initiative puts them going after Emeryn and before Paravrax.
This ends Round Two. Current Status:
Cult Fanatic 1: Unconscious (8 rounds of magical sleep remaining), bleeding profusely, 30 damage total
Cult Fanatic 2: Arrow to the shoulder, 19 damage total, really pissed off now
Cultist 1: Sleeping (8 rounds of magical sleep remaining)
Cultists 2-7: Raring to go!
Cultist 8: Deceased
Korvat: 9 damage, 18 HP remaining
Lucial: 8 damage, 18 HP remaining
Paravrax: 1 damage (from earlier injury), 21 HP remaining
Emeryn: 8 damage , 19 HP remaining
Reed: full HP
Strathalmere: full HP
Just to clarify, the cult fanatic cast Shield of Faith on himself as a bonus action, and he has multiattack with his dagger. I've been rolling perception checks for the dogs sleeping in the kitchen since you entered room 4, and one of them finally heard you. Also, please verify the HP remaing math. I know the total damage numbers are correct.
He then pulls out his dagger and attacks Emeryn. His first strike glances off her armor, while the second finds a gap and strikes home, dealing 4 damage.

Is this just a dagger, or is it magical? My Heavy Armor Mastery will reduce this damage by 3 if it is normal slashing damage, unless you were already counting that.
Emeryn circles through the fray, shield raised. As the standing captain's dark energy seems to ward off her attacks, she strikes at one of the cultists behind her that is threatening Korvat, then ducks back again as the barbarian swings his axe with wild disregard.
"We might...*clang*...not want to be...*bash*...quite so out in the open..." she calls out to her companions as the two-headed canines round the corner, but she doesn't seem about to retreat.
I think we are close enough for me to hit one of the other cultists without leaving the cult fanatic's reach, if not I'll attack the fanatic.

Reed sees the Death Dogs come out of a door and lets out a long, put-upon sigh.
Why can't I be Finian's favorite drinking buddy, instead of errand boy?
A dagger slips out of a sleeve into his hand, and becomes a metallic blur in the air with a flick of his wrist.
If there is a conscious, still living Cult Fanatic on my turn, I'm aiming for them. If not, for one of the random cultists (one of the ones trying to wake up the sleepers.)

Korvat swings his ax with a might "whoosh!"...as the cultists somehow dodge the blow. Lucial takes aim at the Fanatic attacking Emeryn and fires his bow; the arrow glances off the cultist's armor. Emeryn swings her weapon at the cultist, but misses, nearly dropping it to the floor. She recovers, barely. One of the dogs, seeing Emeryn strike her master, run up and bites her. While the left head misses, the right clamps down for 2 damage. The second dog looks around the room, turns in three circles, and lays down. One of the heads appears to be trying to sleep, while the other keeps watch on the fight.
Emeryn--make a DC 12 CON save to avoid being poisoned. Paravrax readies another ball of lightning; another training dummy is shattered to bits. The conscious fanatic blasts Emeryn with necrotic energy, but still fumbling with her morning star she inadvertently dodges the cultist's spell. With uncanny speed, a dagger flies from Reed's hand towards the fanatic, only to bounce off the shield of energy surrounding him.
The remaining cultists spread out. Two rush towards Lucial, striking him with their scimitars. Both blades find their marks, dealing 8 damage. The two still surrounding Korvat attack. One misses, while the other cuts him for 2 damage. Finally, two more run towards Strathalmere, but cannot make it far enough to strike.
Strathalmere, in turn, fires another arrow at the fanatic, piercing his shoulder mere inches from the first arrow for 7 damage.
This ends Round Three. Current Status:
Cult Fanatic 1: Unconscious (7 rounds of magical sleep remaining), bleeding profusely, 30 damage total
Cult Fanatic 2: Two arrows to the shoulder, 26 damage total, bleeding profusely
Cultist 1: Sleeping (7 rounds of magical sleep remaining)
Cultists 2-7: Raring to go!
Cultist 8: Deceased
Korvat: 11 damage, 16 HP remaining
Lucial: 16 damage, 10 HP remaining
Paravrax: 1 damage (from earlier injury), 21 HP remaining
Reed looks annoyed that his dagger missed, but then see's all his friends being wounded and sighs once more. He claps his hands together, not so much a spell motion but preparing himself. He speedily chants a prayer as a soft glow appears around the entire party and any wounds they have begin to knit back together.
I'm using Prayer of Healing to keep everyone going in this fight. I can target up to six people in sight. (I probably should have done this instead of using up a Level 2 slot on Cure Wounds). They all gain the following life:
Dice Roller2 D8s rolled with a +4 modifier
7 + 4
8 + 4
Correction: They gain that much life -4. The +4 shouldn't have been added twice. So 19 health.
The glow recedes, and he casts out a hand at Luan, and utters a short incantation. A glow, much like the cultist's, appears around Luan.
I'm casting shield of Faith on Luan. He gets +2 AC for ten minutes or my concentration.
Okay, so just for my own tracking, I have Two Level 1 Cure Wounds in the Ring and Three Level 1 Spell Slots remaining. And I'm currently concentrating on Luan's Shield of Faith. I'm going to save the rest of my spells from here on out to fill up the ring before we rest... which we should do right after this battle.
