"We should not plunder from offerings to the god of death. I don't know about the lot of you, but I'd prefer Arawan be pleasantly disposed towards me when I pass into the afterlife."
Reed takes out a gold coin and tosses it into the pile.
"You're all welcome to take your chances, however. Just leave my coin there."

Parvrax inspect the statue of Arawan; concealed at the foot of the statue before the offerings is a tripwire. Fortunately he spotted the wire before he reached for anything. Reed's coin sails safely over the wire before coming to rest on the base of the statue.
I very clearly stated the mosaics weren't trapped.

Lol. Also, I'm specifically leaving looting up to the rest of you this time, since I got such an awesome ring at the Inn. I'll take scraps or anything that's specifically good for Clerics this time around, but that's it.
Seeing the near miss, Reed takes a few steps back toward the entry of the door.
"Loot what you will, but be careful. I don't think there is much else to be gained here. This is a private holy place, which has thankfully avoided desecration. Take what you might need and we should go."
Reed looks around to see if there are any other secret doors or oddities in the room he missed.

Lucial is well-paid for what he does. He doesn't need to loot the god of death's offerings.
"Let's carry on."
Lucial poked his head through the next door (avoiding any traps Reed may have detected along the way, because I think it's a safe bet that Reed will alert us to anything he sees) and gives a thorough scan.

"Luan, I recognize that you take issssue with my burdens of addiction, but I would have you address me if you have a question for my companion. That said, I am interested in the question that you had."
Paravrax turns to his left shoulder to address Ger'Cath.
Emeryn does a simple bow to acknowledge the gods in the front hall, and again in the secret shrine to Arawan. She pauses for a moment as the party returns to the first room. "Forgive us, but we have no time to cleanse you now. We shall restore your glory first by driving the evil out of this temple." She is speaking in front of the statue of Finian, but includes all of the gods in the front hall with a gesture.
Emeryn tries the door to the east, then turns back (assuming she doesn't get blown up or something). "This one is locked. It seems we must move forward."
"There a few potions hidden among the offerings, but I'm not sure they're worth going after here." Reed points them out to the rest. "But potions that bestow life will not really be useful to a shrine of death."
Reed turns to Strathalmere and Luan.
"If one of you wants to scout the way ahead, I can bestow the blessing of Finian on you to aid you in avoiding notice. I have a feeling we won't be encountering empty rooms from here on out. I, for one, say that we go through the locked door first. That open hallway bodes ill."
Assume I've given the blessing to whoever volunteers first. They have advantage on stealth rolls for the next hour.
Emeryn tries the door to the east. The door is locked; however, the wood is aged and creaks as she pulls the handle. A solid hit would break the ancient wood.
I totally missed that question. Apparently someone needs to wind up the DM's mechanical tail.

In trying to ready his quarterstaff to strike the door, Paravrax manages to smack himself in the head for 1 bludgeoning damage. Lucial then successfully picks the lock on the eastern door, revealing the room beyond.
Room 22 is now open. There are no light sources in this room. A deep chasm bisects the chamber. Across the chasm, there is a door leading east. A wide corridor leads to an open chamber. The room is heavily damaged; however, the damage appears to have occurred centuries ago. The chasm is 10 feet wide, and 40 feet deep. The fissure goes through the wall of the chamber, connecting to another room that can barely be seen.

Before Luan runs off, Paravrax thanks him for his apology, and also answers the question he had asked.
"Ger'Cath says that the hidden chamber we were in is where funerals would happen, after which bodies would be moved to the crypt and placed into a ssssarcophagus that his mother would make."
Paravrax pulls Reed aside briefly and whispers into his ear.
"I am sssomewhat concerned about Ger'Cath here - it'ssss become clear to me that this is the same temple that he lived in. He's noted that the layout is the same, and he didn't blink at either the hidden room or the differences in architecture from modern temples. I hope you understand that we may need to be careful about asking him too many questionssss - he doesn't seem to realize how much time has passsed or where we are, and I'm not sure what the best way to break it to him yet issss. Feel free to share this with the others as you can, but I wanted to ssspeak with you first, given that you are in the unique position of understanding it."
I said it in the spectator thread, but I figured I'd say it here as well. You don't need to roll perception for every room. I'm basing the Enter the Room text on everyone's passive perception scores. You only need to roll if you're checking for a specific things, such as "Is this statue trapped?" or "What's this book on this table?" Also, I'm going to start announcing door status as you enter, assuming you can see whether a door is locked.
I knock an arrow ready to be drawn and loosed at a moment notice and in concert with Starfall prowl down the central corridor (heading to rooms 2 + 3 on the map Kaburi)

So the room is otherwise empty (as far as I can tell, at least)? I wish I had taken Misty Step rather than Crown of Madness. This close.
Well somebody beat up a halfling warlock and took a ring with two charges of Misty Step on it that he then decided to clear out and load up with five level 1 healing spells before entering the dungeon...
Strathalmere and Starfall have entered the southern corridor. There are numerous sconces along the walls, and a few of the torches are lit. The walls are smooth white granite, as is the floor. Although there is significant dust and dirt on the floor, there is a trail where people have been in and out of the hall. About halfway down, there's a locked stone door on the east wall. At the end of the hall is a set of double wooden doors. They appear significantly newer than the rest of the temple--clearly they're a recent addition. They are unlocked.
That was...actually not the part I wanted clarified.
Before leaving the room, Parvrax reaches into his pack, takes out a copper piece, casts Light on it, and tosses it into the chasm to see if there's anything at the bottom.
EDIT: Assuming nothing's there:
Satisfied with there being no surprises in store in this room, Paravrax turns and follows Strathalmere down the other corridor.

"Apologies. I simply have a negative stigma attached to addiction due to personal knowledge of how it has afflicted others."
He put his other hand on Paravrax's staff, lowering it before Paravrax could hurt himself.
"Let me do this."
Lucial pulled a lockpick kit out his Buglar's Kit, attempting to open the door quietly.
