There are no obvious pathways, for there don't seem to be any pathways at all. Just this odd glow that suffuses the area. It's almost like the spots you see when you're rubbing your eyes.
"Then there's got to be more," Arikromus replies, starting off into the darkness. He's not so eager, however, that he doesn't check his footing. He doesn't want to fall into yet another cave.
The cave seems to be the lowest level they can find right now. It looks like a steamed bun. Big and round at the bottom but tapering off at the top. And that glow is still there, pieces of it floating around in front, and around, them.

Pith looks around, wary. He begins to slowly move forward, passing Akromus, to search the surroundings of the place. "Hey, since we all found magic together, I bet Mikhal will have to give us ALL gold stars!" He half heartedly jokes while walking around.

With a half-hearted chuckle, Arikromus stubbornly continues swiping at the motes. Eventually giving up, he instead begins to search for the source of the glow.
"Hey wait, guys, I found some kind of path here! It's like...cobble stones." He leans down and scratches it a bit, making sure his eyes are seeing right. He turns to the others, waiting to see if they'll join him.

"This is strange. Who would just put cobble stones here and not have a path?" Pith walks up to the wall and bangs on it. He gets a little frustrated. "This magic stuff makes no sense! No wonder it all poofed. everyone was just to confuddled."

Arikromus reaches out and taps the stones experimentally. He glances the other way, to see if there's a path in the other direction, away from the first wall.
Slapping was obviously not the best choice, as -that- stone falls too, and the floor seems to be caving in to the red glow. Everything that is cobblestone falling inwards towards it.
Pith falls backwards in surprise. "AUGH! Everything in this place goes downwards! At this rate, we'll fall through the island!" Flipping over to crawl, he edges towards the red glow, ready to throw himself back again. He peers down and waves a hand through it.

Swallowing visibly, Arikromus slowly moves towards the hole. He stares down, hoping to see what everyone else had been looking at. Slightly hypnotized, he kneels down, reaching a hand out towards the shifting colours.
The colors are a good distance away, probably ten feet. But there's a slope on the way down. However, it looks almost slippery.
The light's filling some sort of chamber down there, Arikromus can see that, at least. And it's shifting through almost every color in the color spectrum. Even purple.

Pith finds that one small part of the room is paved in cobblestones.

"Do something!" Huey shouts at the stone he chose the examine, slapping his hand against it as hard as he dares to avoid hurting himself.

"I'm not sure I like magic anymore." Huey whines, trying to lift himself on to the altar that is over twice his height.
Pith, confused and bewildered by the shifting colours, backs away at an increasingly rapid pace, until he is back to the altar.
