Perfect Hand Magic League 34:01
This round was 2C Llanowar Elf.
Commentary
Limiting to just 2 cards has a very interesting effect on which cards get chosen. Each card needs to do a little bit more to earn its place. The free elf put everyone onto a creature-based strategy this week.
Next week's format will be "4 Card LR - Slow Down" - you'll need to create a hobbled contraption of a deck which takes 500 turns to win! Check out the details in next week's thread.

5 Card Modern
Decks may only contain Modern-Legal cards
Deck Size: 5 Land Rule: None Additional Banned list: None (please remember to check Land Rule and regular PHM Banned Lists)
The Entries 01 Madmanquail :: "Midrange" Council's Judgment / Vraska the Unseen Vraska is good against a lone 1/1, and basically having two removal spells was great
02 xStormageddonx :: "To battle, little elf!" Nature's Claim / Diabolic Edict This looks solid, but of course if you want to attack, the edict will always need to kill an elf token! Chainer's edict would have been a lot better.
03 WhammeWhamme :: "Never say Nether" Umezawa's Jitte / Nether Spirit Nether spirit is decent, but jitte seems underwhelming. A removal spell would have been useful instead, or even batterskull since it can win on its own.
05 nerdyjoe :: "Who wards the warden?" Warden of the First Tree / Warden of the First Tree I love the warden, but I tend to avoid running double copies of cards like this - a different card would nearly always provide much greater utility.

4v3: When 3 is on the play, jitte gets counters before researchers hits the field, can kill with the trigger on the stack. When 4 is on the play, researchers survives long enough for conscription to attach, at which point annhilator/trample overruns any opposition.
5v3: Jitte is fast enough to wipe the board.

Academy Researchers / Eldrazi Conscription
This seems like a fine choice for a week with extra free mana

Warden of the First Tree / Warden of the First Tree
I love the warden, but I tend to avoid running double copies of cards like this - a different card would nearly always provide much greater utility.

vs. 01 Madmanquail: Double removal works, sadly. 0-6
vs. 02 Stormageddonx: Nether Spirit goes the distance. 6-0
vs. 04 tomsloger: Jitte kills Researcher-on-the-stack. 6-0
vs. 05 nerdyjoe: Jitte kills Wardens. 6-0
Jitte is great in a creatures-on-creatures week!
draw both games against the eldrazified academy researchers, removal removes researchers and elves kill each other or cant attack
