this may do well by accident, but it shows how little thinking i did about the meta. threat/removal/counter
Blind Magic is an online Magic format played here on the forums. Players play with an extremely limited deck size, such as 3 cards. Players begin with their entire deck (ie: those three cards) in hand and have no library (players don't lose when they fail to draw a card because of this). Due to the extremely limited number of play options given with their small deck size, games are calculated, rather then played, with an absolute determined winner (or a tie). Each player plays a match of two games against each other player who submitted - once going first, and once going second. Wins, losses, and ties for each of those two games are calculated by the moderator and players. The actual fun of the game comes from trying to decide which cards you will be playing.
The All Blind Tournament is a four-week XCB tournament, which spans all card blind formats and embraces a progressive anti-metagame. For each week of the four-week tournament, a new XCB format is announced for players to enter. Players compete for points (similiar to the PotM points for previous XCB games) each round. At the end of the four-week tournament, the player who has accumulated the most points over the four weeks wins the tournament, and receives a real-world prize.
3 vs. Feyd_Ruin: 6-0. My Giant trumps the Baloth, Ulamog trumps everything.
4 vs. Madmanquail: 0-6. Stupid lock.
5 vs. knobbodi: 3-3. On the play, Azusa blocks Marauders so Giant can Wrath and block the recurred Marauders.
6 vs. Wild Eep: 3-3. On the play, I can Wrath away Servant unless Eep plays the lock in one turn, and Ulamog comes down turn 5, killing a land and permanently locking Eep off 5 mana.
7 vs. mogg: 0-6. ...wow. Die on turn 3, yep yep yep.
8 vs. cogmonocle: 3-3. Same as tom.
9 vs. sockfresh: 6-0. Wurm gets Wrathed unless it hits with counter backup, and if it goes that long, Ulamog trumps. Besides, Azusa eats the counter unless sockfresh wants Ulamog to hit before the Wurm does.
Yeah, I couldn't really devote time this week to finding all the relevant cards for this format. After digging ~1000 cards deep into gatherer and not finding any combos that were terribly strong i figured the biggest threat to play around would be shriekmaw Which apparently would've been slightly better than my TNN. The other decks I was looking at were sliver aggro, decks like Feyd's, Zealot il-Vec + Nightshade Peddler, and Painter's Servant + Lifebane Zombie
I really wanted to build Braids, but I couldn't find a way to get her out fast enough to make her good. Is there a way to turn 2 braids in this format? Because turn 3 braids is too slow for this format, I believe.
I think 6v9 is 3-3, since if my understanding of the basic land rule is right, sockfresh can't have W turn 2 for the Familiar and then GUU turn 3 for the Snake. Therefore, I should be able to lock out on the play, but I am indeed toast on the draw.
Skylasher was such a garbage third card. I thought I'd see more Hushwing Gryffs to hold off ETB effects (and Sliver aggro). It's sad that even a second Llawan would have done me better, or the super narrow Gaea's Herald.
Oh yeah, sockfresh can't cast turn 3 mystic snake because he can't make GUU on turn 3. That means I am 6-0 vs him, as well, and might impact other matches too.

2whammewhamme : where ancients tread
Azusa, Lost but Seeking / Desolation Giant / Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre
im not going to lie to yall, i dont remember what the giant does. ramping into ulamog seems rad though
3Feyd_Ruin : I expect at least 6 points.
Azusa, Lost but Seeking / Magus of the Vineyard / Rampaging Baloths
turn 2 azusa is sweet. giving your opponent mana is pretty scary though.
4Madmanquail : blue paint
Gilded Drake / Painter's Servant / Llawan, Cephalid Empress
dig that lock
5knobbodi : to the face
Keldon Marauders / Cragganwick Cremator / Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
19 total damage without attacking. very impressive
6Wild Eep : why so blue?
Painter's Servant / Llawan, Cephalid Empress / Skylasher
oh snap, 2 of you guys saw this.
7mogg : avatar of death
Bosk Banneret / Cragganwick Cremator / Serra Avatar
i think this is the most powerful deck here. the banneret is so nifty as a blocker to keep you at 20
8cogmonocle : power plays
Mayor of Avabruck / True-Name Nemesis / Mystic Snake
when in doubt, play good stuff.
9sockfresh : death by tube creatures
sunscape familiar / mystic snake / novablast wurm
a faster counter is a better counter

Azusa, Lost but Seeking / Desolation Giant / Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre
3-3 on the play, snake is in time for giant. not on the draw.
3Feyd_Ruin : I expect at least 6 points.
Azusa, Lost but Seeking / Magus of the Vineyard / Rampaging Baloths
3-3 probably, but maybe i can 6-0 with some more math. but on the play, shriekmawing magus lets me snake baloths.
4Madmanquail : blue paint
Gilded Drake / Painter's Servant / Llawan, Cephalid Empress
3-3 counter or dont
