Azorius Guildmage / Crosis's Charm / Mana Drain / Reach of Branches
6-0 agreed. i may have beat you, but i like your deck a lot more than i like mine. reach, drain, and guildmage are great.
That's pretty funny, when I got to your deck I was like, damn, now there's the kind of coherent, synergistic deck I was trying to find! I liked the fact that you found two other white permanents in case Procession ever got dealt with, without making it seem like you were including suboptimal stuff for that purpose. I felt like mine was just a pile of good stuff. Thanks though!
It's also funny that you named those three cards, since Charm was the find I was proudest of - maybe just because the other three were all 2CB staples/banned back in the day.

There's a crazy number of lines of play here, actually. Like, crazy crazy. In the end, it boils down to the fact that you can use Drain and Charm to make sure foundry never sticks without fear of windfall.
Thanks a bunch for going over this for me, I've updated my results post.
Also, your line of play on the play doesn't work because I can get Thwart up by my turn 3 even through a Beast Within. However, you do have a winning line of play: play out Haunting on turn 2, forcing me to foil (not thwart). I can discard Haunting or Thwart, but either way I only get two tokens (if I discard thwart, one of the Haunting castings gets counterspelled). you beast within one of your own lands, and your 3/3 races my two 1/1s.
