I don't want to take the spot from someone who is inside the quantity of games rules, I'm just saying to get your game going sooner I am still willing and able... I was playing five games on here at one point and I've never received a prod.
This is why you should ask the Council. I myself have asked and have been approved in the past. Same with Iso. I'm sure there a number more than that too.
Another point is that this Sign-Up thread has been up for nearly a week. The fact that this game hasn't filled is shocking and shows that we do need you Generic. Please, ask the Council.
Never played Skyward Sword; I couldn't get into the whole motion control thing. I don't play video games for exercise (this is why weights were invented), I play them to relax.
Common misconception about the Wii is that you actually have to do work to play games on it.
False. False. False.
You merely rotate your wrist a little more than usual while sitting down and perfectly comfortable and feel no strain whatsoever. The only time that more than my forearm moved during Skyward Sword was when I got -really- into it, by then you're having too much fun to notice.
What comes to mind is the Koloktos battle =) That was fun as hell.
Even if the Wii's controls aren't a "workout," that doesn't mean they're immersive. The goal of video game control should be to make the gamer cognitively unaware that they're only communicating with the game via a piece of middleman hardware. If I'm playing a well-developed sidescroller, or danmaku, or RPG (or a number of other genres, but usually 2D ones) with a traditional controller, I'm able to "forget" that I'm even holding a controller. But when I'm holding a Wiimote I'm always intensely aware that I'm holding a Wiimote (although I haven't played Skyward Sword yet, so maybe I'll eat my words when I do).
Swinging a sword by swinging a Wiimote instead of pressing "A" is more realistic, sure, but I'm not looking for realism or an emulation of realism, but a feeling of realism. If a game can get me engrossed enough to make me feel like I'm swinging a sword when I press "A," then bully for that game. Now if a game could provide both a feeling of realism and an emulation of realism, then that would be great, but I don't know if that's possible. Metroid Prime 3's controls were decent but there was still too much gimmicky stuff thrown in there.
That's fine with me considering the slow pace of signups; my primary concern is allowing others to play if they wish, but there doesn't seem to be an overwhelming demand for this PCQ game, which is somewhat unusual.
I'm going to be kicking myself if I don't join the game of my favorite Zelda tale. I fear I might be over stretching myself a bit but what the hell, this game needs players.
/in (if needed) /replace if not needed, currently in two games and hosting one. My favorite mask is the Bunny Hood.
I'm marking down Zionite as a replacement and giving Generic the last slot now that he's received Council permission.
That means we're full, thread will be up later today. (I'd say I'm surprised by how long this took, but given that it's summer, there's a LOT of games running, and how Showdown went down I'm really not.)

The only times I became aware that I was holding a Wiimote was pointer de-synchs and every once in a while (fix in a menu quick) where Link vertically slashed instead of stabbing (which only bugged me during one particular boss fight and I was low on Hearts >_>)
I know what you mean about Metroid Prime 3; while I really enjoyed it I do agree. =P Skyward Sword will be hit or miss - A lot of the problems people had I never experienced and I've had others who personally agree that the problem should be unheard of.
Also you still casually tilt the Wiimote more than you "swing" it.

That game was so peaceful. It was one with my soul...
