"All present, Lord Marshal. Save the usual two, at least." Victor said.
"No matter. Let's begin."
The Grand Marshal of Eternia, Braev Lee, has organized a meeting to determine the best way to capture the Wind Vestal. The Wind Crystal has been consumed by darkness a couple of weeks prior, and the Sky Knights have determined that her approximate location was somewhere in the forests of Caldisla. Despite the Sky Knight's attempts, she has evaded capture thus far, but with the recent destruction of the village of Norende, he know that she can't hide out much longer.
The Grand Marshal's right hand man, Alternis Dim, informs him on the recent events. "I trust word has reached you from Caldisla. The Eternian Sky Knights that have recently left the continent, including your daughter, Edea. They're planning to organize a stronghold in Lontano Villa and directly attack the kingdom."
"We need her in custody now. The less forces we expend to do it, the better. We're already stretched thin, with agents in Ancheim, Florem, and Eisenberg. Get the job done."
The attendees of the Council of Six, Victoria, Victor, and Alternis, bow. The Grand Marshal adjourns the meeting.
Rules (inspired by Xylthixlm, stolen from Ged!)
[1] I will enforce the rules strictly, because I'm evil like that.
[2] Your vote must be in bold. You don't need to unvote before voting.
[3] If my vote count doesn't seem to reflect your vote, just revote.
[4] Lynching requires a simple majority. You may vote no lynch, which also requires a simple majority.
[5] Once your death scene has been posted, you're dead. Dead people don't make forum posts. If you make a post after you are dead, I will hunt you down. For the record, I actually have a text file on my computer of all the people who've broken this rule in the past. I may or may not have plans for it.
[6] Post at least once every 48 hours. If you don't, I'll hunt you down. And prod you. After that you’ll be given at most another 48 hours or so before you are either replaced or modkilled. If you're going to be without computer access for more than 48 hours, let me know ahead of time either in the thread or by PM. Remember, people: if we work together we can have a replacement free game, but that can only happen with your help.
[7] No funny stuff like invisible text, tiny text, cryptography, or acronym claims.
[8] Don't edit posts.
[9] Don't quote PMs.
[10] You may not talk outside of the thread to anyone about anything that goes on in this game. Period. Whether you're dead, or they're dead, whether they're in the game or not.
[11] Have fun and be nice to the other players and me, even if we don't deserve it.
I reserve the right to modkill any player who breaks any rule [6] or higher. This applies especially to [10], but also note it’s application to [6]. I do not like making people replace into my games. I do not like spending time looking for replacements. I do not like slowing down the game while we go through this whole song and dance of looking for a replacement. Modkills circumvent all these things.
If you EVER have questions about the game, PM me. I love having more ways to procrastinate, and caring to your every whim is one of my favorites. If you are confused, curious, or unsure about anything ever, let me know before doing anything stupid.
Game-Specific Rules
[1] Each player begins with a certain amount of BP. Each Night, you may either elect to Default, which forfeits your night action and makes you gain 1 BP; Brave and take a regular night action, which costs 1 BP, or Brave and take additional night actions, which costs you 1 additional BP for each extra night action you take. Please PM me if you have any questions on this.
[2] If you have Day actions, then you may take additional Day actions by spending additional BP in the same manner you would spend them during Night.
[3] Each player's flavor is taken directly from the game.
[4] If you have multiple abilities that can be used in either Night or Day, then you may use them by spending additional BP.
The deadline system used for this game will be (number of players) * (1.5 days). This means that you will have 18 days to lynch, and the Day will end in a no lynch on June 25, 2015 if you do not lynch before then.
In addition, there are up to three public deadline extensions available. These extensions may be requested by the players at any time in the thread, and may be granted at my sole discretion. Don't be mad if I say no.
The options are as follows:
A: 24 hours per player OR 7 days, whichever is shorter.
B: 72 hours C: 24 hours
- Once a particular extension is used, it cannot be used again that same game.
- Any number of extensions can be used in the same game Day.
- If the players do not specify which extension they wish to use (or if there is no consensus on which one to use), I will pick the remaining option highest up on the list.
- Extensions are appended to the deadline time. There's no need to strategically time when the request is made.
- At least two players must request an extension for it to be considered.
A few hours after the Council of Six meeting, the Grand Marshal reminisces about his daughter, Edea. Kamiizumi just sent her off yesterday with the Eternian Sky Knights - you know that they’re a rowdy group, but hopefully Edea can beat some sense of rationality into them. “She’ll be safe,” the Grand Marshal thinks to himself. “The vestal is defenseless and Edea is accompanied with Ominas, one of my best Black Mages. It shouldn’t be a difficult job."
Someone suddenly enters the room. "One of the Black Blades, or the Khamer & Profiteur Merchantry?” You have so many asterisk holders under your command that it’s difficult to remember every last one of them. “Here to give me a status report? How has the spread of Anticrystalism been going?"
“Why yes,” the mysterious asterisk bearer whispers. “I’ve been defeated countless times in other worlds. I can’t afford to waste time deceiving Agnes and her motley group any more. This time, I’m trying a different strategy…"
The mysterious asterisk bearer suddenly shrieks, and a dark aura suddenly surrounds him - or her? The Grand Marshal immediately recognizes what is happening. He grabs his sword, but then the dark aura disappears in a cloud of smoke-
“Y-you!"
“After eleven hundred million years, His will shall finally be done! I will leave you to die, writhing in your regret!"
The Grand Marshal, Braev Lee, has been killed in the Pregame.
Leader of the Eternian forces, and head of the Council of Six. He seized the Earth Crystal fifteen years ago. Edea is his daughter.
A 45-year-old man from Eternia. His name is Braev Lee, and he carries the templar asterisk. He is valiant, judicious, and stern. A staunch supporter of Anticrystalism, the future of the duchy and the world around it are never far from his mind.

Sure. I mean most of them are silent so through EXTENSIVE STUDY OF PIXEL BODY LANGUAGE I have discovered that many of them say hark. Makes sense to me.
Also if I was going to vote someone for being scum after 14 posts it would be Vaimes for literally going 'I am actually kind of interested' I mean why say kind of why not just say you're interested why you gotta be all dissociative about it.
In fact it is settled Vaimes has got to go.

Very nice bus. You really don't have the same history with Vaimes to be able to pick him out for real in the first 14 posts, though.
It's gonna be MathBlade's game all over again. Except properly balanced.
What differentiates defensive with overly defensive?
There isn't a lot to figure out right now. Your pressure on me doesn't count as figuring anything out because you already know me, and I obviously don't have that luxury with the other players.
I thought Huntzilla's post was kind of towny, or at least genuine. That's all I have right now!
Also, 'you can do better than this' kind of implies you think I'm just bad town. Or that if I do better, you'll leave me alone, which also indicates you don't actually think I'm scum.
Also also, you want me to 'figure things out' in the first 25 posts but then you call Sir Chris scum for voting me because he couldn't possibly already know I'm scum like you do (except you're wrong)? Why is it a bus and not a townie voting for me?

Wishful thinking on your part. I just want you to get better at playing scum and feel a little bad about having to lynch you Day 1.

I'm gonna try to hold off on triple posting.
I feel like Chris is the kind of player that buses and tries to townside as mafia. I'm not entirely sure why I get that feeling.
Oh, that's a good question to add. I'll quote it after this.
I feel like it jives with his comment before the game started about how he was excited to play with Generic. I'm not entirely sure why I get that feeling.
Also, to reiterate on the sarcasm: taking your word for it isn't really something I can do.
I've decided not to get mislynched this game, actually.
Do you have thoughts on anyone besides me? If not, that's cheap and hypocritical.
I think Chris might be scum with you. I'm pinging you out and creating discussion that other people will have to address, which will in turn help me read them. How exactly is that hypocritical?
It's hypocritical because you expect me to figure things out, even though you're only real read is on me and that's so cheap because you know my playstyle better than I do.
Your read on Chris feels stretchy since I'm town, but I'll see how it pans out as far as being independently scummy goes.
