I'm not moved by Killjoy's claim. The lead-up feels meh for some reason, and the claim, itself...well, he just saw E_P get a free pass in Iji Mafia 2 for claiming Bomb on Day 1.
KJ is claimed scum
Cyan has a completely inconsistent thought process, has only defended scum and has attacked town.
ISO has a role that doesn't make any sense to ever use if town.
We just roll down the list and we are probably in good shape.
I don't care what Seppel says. There is no role in existence that MP can claim that will make me believe that he and antny are town at this point. Seppel is either assessing the situation incorrectly, or is scum with them. Period.

My read on ISO is that if his role is what he claims it is, is an entirely anti town role because it allows scum to win by day 2.
There is no logical reason to use that power night 1, or for the reasons he claimed, or to assume the targets he chose were both scum despite that statistically only having a 5% chance of that being the case.
If ISO is town then his game has been so laughably bad that it could be the plot of a three stooges episode. If you think ISO is even a remotely non terrible mafia player you have to assume he is scum.

Iso is town but is lying about his role making the two people die together. I've already made it fairly clear that I don't believe this part of his claim. That doesn't stop Iso from being town. Man this conversation seems familiar.
Look at it this way. Iso is scum, knows that you and Antny are town(because you're not on his team), and has tied the two of you together. Why would he EVER bother revealing anything about his role? Why would he do anything other than let Antny get lynched and let you die with him?
I agree with you on the Iso bit, Cyan. Why do you continue to believe that he's lying about the second part of his claim? What does he have to gain by continuing to maintain that's the case?
I don't know. He's Iso. He just does what he thinks is best, and I'm not convinced that he thinks about it that much. If he is fully telling the truth about his ability(and how he used it), it would be so reckless that it would just prove what I just said. But I'll never be convinced that he is scum. Too much of his posting and behavior just doesn't line up with that. MP's refusal to see this is a huge part of why I still think that he is scum. Anyone in their right mind would realize that Iso is town here.
I am willing to say that, if Iso's role exists as claimed, then KJ is probably faking. But it looks like KJ is probably faking anyway, considering the rules interaction that Hunger pointed out. I'm assuming that, if KJ is telling the truth, DCIII will just modkill him. Because like..what else would you do there? Alternatively, if DC comes and goes and nothing happens, it means that KJ is lying and we can just go ahead and lynch him.
I am almost 95% sure cyan is scum here. He talked about there being no chance a game could end day 2 which made me think he didn't believe KJ. Except he does. Somehow. Despite the fact it could end with only one wrong lynch if what he believes is true.
Day 1: bomb blows up Commander 12 to 10
N1 scum shoots the ISO linked people 10 to 8
D2. Scum is elected commander. Scum has 50% of the vote. Gg. If ISO links don't take affect the same day the game still ends after a day 2 mislynch.
His entire argument isn't internally consistent.
That's not how bomb works, just fyi. If you get shot, the shooter dies too. Commander wouldn't likely have a shot.
[quote from="Hunger »" url="http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/outside-magic/mafia/599678-the-wall-mafia-day-2-digging-through-notes?comment=1072"]Also about KJ's claim, from a sample size of one, Kam's role was called "Learned Scholar," and in this flavor-heavy of a game, having a role with a normal mafia name seems off.
Maybe it's meant to deter flavor gaming. IDK. That's my role.
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.
The thing about leading The Night's Watch is that there isn't much time spent in discussion. Rare plotting or strategizing... who with? These were men of action sent to a destination that had, until recently, provided very little.
The Lord Commander had gathered those remaining from yesterday atop the Wall. He'd steered away from the Common Hall and instead barricaded them in the Shieldhall. Together, they sat around a long table, the ten of them, expressions a mix of aghast to forced bemusement. This hall had once been a place of celebration, where new members of The Watch would hang their shields prior to taking the shield of the black. They hung still, shadowed skeletons of years past; a haunting reminder of the neglect that The Watch had received from the rest of the realm. It was a gaping and hollow sepluchre of times past and, in looking around, he felt as though he were looking inward.
He uncorked a sweet red from The Reach. It was no Arbor Gold, but none of the highest quality wines from below The Neck ever made it this far north... there was no need and this was not a place to allow indulgences. That being said, if there ever were a time...
He began to pour, first sliding a cup to Qhorin Half-Hand, directly to his left. Qhorin reached out a milky white hand and grabbed the cup, nodding his acceptance. The Lord Commander nodded back. Qhorin hadn't said much since yesterday morning, quieter than usual, which was understandable. He, himself was lost in his own thoughts, trying to make sense of it. His gaze lingered on Qhorin's hand, man was it white - had he been frostbitten yesterday? Then he noticed that the wine glass was faintly crystallizing around Qhorin's fingers.
He grabbed Qhorin's forearm - freezing - and quickly drove a knife down on his wrist. Once. Twice. Three times - until the hand was severed clean off.
No blood.
Qhorin had grabbed the goblet with the other hand and smashed it into his face, knocking him backward in his chair. He hit the cold stone floor and felt a warm trickle of blood run from his nose. Broken, it must be. Qhorin had grabbed the knife and was lunging at him, but the others had rounded and were clutching at him, clasping whatever they could. The Lord Commander scrambled backward as he saw sword blades emerge from Qhorin's torso, having been run through from the other side.
And yet, he still shook loose; a walking pincushion, the Lord Commander his only focus, dagger in hand.
Facing this walking horror and still on his back, the Lord Commander slid backward, toward the fire place, and deftly rolled aside, shoving Qhorin head first into the burning fire, which immediately engulfed him.
There were no screams. The only noise was the crackle and pop of the flames along with a low hiss.
When the body stopped twitching, they pulled it out and beat off the flames, rolling it over to find that the face of Qhorin's had melted clean off - behind it, an indistinguishable mess.
Nine horror-stricken eyes panned the room. In the distance, the white hand had animated and was slowly scuttling across the table. This had not been Qhorin. This had been something else entirely.
The Lord Commander lit a torch, strode over to the table, and lit the hand aflame.
Killjoy has been lynched. He was:
Coldhands - Mafia 2-Shot Silencer
Abilities:
You may vote.
Once per Night, you or one of the other Mafia members may perform a Nightkill.
Coldhands: Once per Night, up to two times per game, you may send me the name of another target player. That player may not post the following Day other than to vote and unvote (for lynches and Lord Commander). You may not target the same player twice.
It is now Night 2. Do not post. Actions are due within 72 hours.
A member of the watch had quite literally tripped over him on his way down the stairs from his quarters to the Common Hall.
Mangled and unceremonious, there lay his 100 year old body. A crumpled heap. Clearly he'd been tossed from the top. This was no fitting end to his storied legacy.
Sir Chris is dead, he was:
Aemon Targaryen - Town Martyr
Abilities:
You may vote.
Noble Sacrifice: Each Night you will be told the target of the Night kill. You may opt to take the place of that target player. If you protect a specific player in the game (you don't know which), the player performing the Night kill will also be killed.
The Lord Commander scooped his body off of the stone. He was as small and frail as a child. Tragic. And yet, a more full and healthy life than any within these walls would surely live.
This time he spoke with more solemnity and determination than ever before, "And now his watch has ended."
prelim analysis suggests that it's not hunger. killjoy was on him all Day yesterday and had a really strange moment when he backed off his vote. seemed like scum-town to me.

I think Cyan/Seppel is more likely, but if MP has info, I think Hunger makes more sense than Iso.
Okay, I guess I can give my list then, and you can bounce ideas there, if you want.
Meg- Town LC
MP - Town via Seppel and Cythare/Iso (could only be scum if two other people are lying, so must be town). Also, behavior.
Ant - Town via Iso and MP (can only possibly be scum with Iso, but I don't think that's likely or really makes sense)
Iso - Claimed Cop. Not impossible to be scum, but I'm having trouble understanding why he would claim as he did.
Hunger - Maybe scum. Interaction with KJ D2 started out as defending, and moved to a somewhat weird mutual attack. I'll look over this more closely if MP has Seppel info.
Seppel - Tried pushing Chris as a counter wagon to KJ, and otherwise fought against the KJ wagon. When doing POE, left out KJ.
Cyan - Reaction to KJ's claim is terrible. Reaction to KJ's super scummy post is terrible. 1112 makes no sense after 1088.
Also, I guess let me know when it's my turn to claim.
Assuming 3 scum and that ISO is telling e truth about his role (even if it is a scum role) I think we nearly auto win.
Seppel and I can virtually confirm each other due to reasons (though I would like him to claim first), cythare is thus town and will die with me at the same time. Meg is lord commander.
That leaves
KCC
ISO
Hunger
Cyan
With 8 alive we still have a mislynch left even with a double death. I think everyone feels pretty good about KCC so I think if we mow down that list we win.
@kcc the "super scummy post" you linked (#2) was the one that made me think hunger might be town. Killjoy's hop off was really bad, as you noted. What would point to them being scum-scum?

It's more their earlier interaction, but I think KJ might have been trying to find a way out of a mutual bus that they stumbled into. And the whole "oh, I don't know how I ever thought you were scummy" line at the end might have been intended to make hunger look better.
I agree. plum has shown absolutely no redeemable judgment skills insofar as my own role and play go, so I'm disinclined to believe that Seppel is anywhere close to confirmed. I think we can safely lynch Seppel, Cyan, and Hunger in any order and still win, given that my role clears Cythare and plum, the way I went about using it, claiming it, and explaining it clears me, Megiddo is the LC (cleared), and you were Silenced by dead scum, so I'm disinclined to believe you're scum, short of a spectacular gambit.

By the way, with Chris dying I am now 95% sure seppel is town.
I will explain after other people claim
I don't really care about the order for the massclaim, but KCC can be near the bottom. Don't we already have half of the town claimed already?
I'm interested in seeing this, because Seppel is one of my higher suspects, right behind Cyan.
If you have something here, then it's probably Cyan/hunger.
I think Cyan/Seppel is more likely, but if MP has info, I think Hunger makes more sense than Iso.
You lost me here. Can you give me a quick list of reads, so I know what we're talking about here?
But that's not the reason I think KCC as town. Felt town from him the whole game
Meg- Town LC
MP - Town via Seppel and Cythare/Iso (could only be scum if two other people are lying, so must be town). Also, behavior.
Ant - Town via Iso and MP (can only possibly be scum with Iso, but I don't think that's likely or really makes sense)

I'll reread their spat tomorrow (sleeping now).
You can probably wait until after claims are done. If MP is overstating his info, then I think Cyan/Seppel is far more likely than anything else.
