Gah Iso'ing you in that game gave me nothing :/
That game is old and you were still very newbish.
I can only meta to a gip, and obviously can't explain why, but Hawk is not scum.
The point wasn't focused on what you thought you needed to add pressure, it was on why you'd try to diffuse that situation by telling me you hadn't intended to pursue it if you still believed that there was something to your meta read. Like why try to down play that read to me if you still thought there was something to it? It didn't read like you were still suspicious, it read like you were trying to convince me of your intentions.
I wasn't planning on pressuring you solely over a soft meta read, no. I only outed it because I got questions about why I was leaning scum on you.
You used it as a way to pressure me, which is why I am explaining my intentions.
I am getting convinced that you are scum though. The bolded is scum mindset: Town has no reason not to convince someone of their intentions: they don't know if the person they are talking to is town or not. The only reason I could have to not want to explain myself to you is if I know you are scum. Which I don't.
But you think that is not what I should be doing: I should be pressuring you more instead of explaining myself. Which makes total sense if you are scum and know that that is what I indeed should do.
If you look back at the conversation, it is you that started pressuring me, not the other way around, and now you accuse me of being in the defensive position.
I will not vote Hawk toDay. I think DCIII is scum, making Hawk the worst lynch candidate we have.
I wasn't asking why didn't you pressure me from an overall game perspective, I think it's suspicious that you tried to downplay the read in that specific situation despite still being suspicious of me.
You thought it was still valid and stood by it but then said that I was blowing it out of proportion and that you didn’t intend to pursue it unless you saw something else that you thought was scummy. It was an odd thing to clarify there because I wasn’t pressuring your approach to how you handled your read or whether or not you intended to pressure me with it, I was suspicious of why your read was as it was.
That’s the disconnect. It’s not that you didn’t try to pressure me this game or that’s what you should have been doing - It’s that when I was questioning why your read of my meta was as it was and pressuring you about that, you proactively added that you didn’t plan on doing anything with it until you saw something else that you thought was scummy, which I don't think is the mentality of someone who is genuinely suspicious in that moment.
"Let me explain my read and then clarify that I never intended to pursue it." The second part just seems out of place. It's trying to reassure someone you suspect, which isn't natural. "Let me explain my read." is what I'd expect.
Why haven't you looked at the outstanding part of my case on Hawk yet?
We got three days to deadline so I'll shift my vote if needed. But frankly given how scummy Hawk has been I'm disappointed none of the people townreading him have been able to give me a convincing reason why.
I haven't seen a reason for Kami being town either.
I'm interested in seeing what Kamikaze does now that his wagon = Hawk's
I really don't like this. Saying you're making the vote to reaction test Kami defeats the purpose of the reaction test and is a weak reason to get on the wagon. You've just created a scenario where no matter how he acts, it appears as though it's because of what you did because you announced it. If you were genuinely curious as to what he'd do, you'd have just voted him and then waited to see what he did as a result, and I don't think that's lost on you.

@Archon, Citric, and Ika: You have 67 hours and 28 minutes left to vote.
If this day ends in no-lynch, I don't think I'd care.
Why? Considering this is D1 and having no lynch (and therefore no wagon or flip) gives us no information to analyse, I really don't see why a town wouldn't care...

As Inquisitor Heldricht emerged from the underground passages leading out of the Sanctum, she was overwhelmed by the bright lights and colors of the beautiful Leá Monde sunset. Unfortunately, this turned out to be the last moments of beauty she would experience.
As her eyes adjusted to the light, she realized she was surrounded by a group of those who had come to the city in the aftermath of the siege at the Greylands. There were some familiar faces, and some she had never seen before.
"What were you doing in there?" Seppel shouted.
7hawk77 added, "The underground ruins are teeming with the Dark! What motive have you for entering?"
"I was searching the area, you fools!" she shouted back in fury. "Who are you to question me? I serve the Parliament and I give the orders here!"
Rhand exclaimed, "Parliament means naught where the Dark is concerned!"
Void and CitricBase unsheathed their weapons, and Hunger readied his shield. Sensing that things may turn ugly, Heldricht tightly gripped her mace.
"Stand down," she snarled. "I can and will best you."
"Threats of violence..." Iso said calmly from behind her, "...are unacceptable."
In her fury, Heldricht lost track of her senses and never noticed Iso approaching from her rear. She staggered forward as his sword plunged into her chest.
"I am slain..." she gasped as a rush of blood entered her mouth, "...a victory for the Dark and those who embrace it. Gods help us..."
As she fell dead, the others waited as they expected her body to turn to dust. However, she remained, oozing blood along the cracks and crevices in the ground.
KamikazeArchon has been lynched. He was Inquisitor Heldricht.
KamikazeArchon, welcome to Vagrant Story Mafia!
You are Inquisitor Heldricht
"We need no pretext! Müllenkamp is a pack of rogues, hiding behind a priest's frock."
You are the chief inquisitor of the VKP's Investigative unit. You, along with Grand Steward LeSait, approved the orders to send VKP personnel to the Greylands when the Duke's manor was attacked. You hand-picked your protege and strongest pupil, Callo Merlose, to serve as partner to the Riskbreaker assigned to the mission.
Alignment: Town Class: Enchanter Role: Locked
Your win condition is to eliminate all members of the Mafia.
To unlock your role, you must search the city of Leá Monde for your Grimoire. You may move to a new location each Day phase, and you may move at any time (including Twilight). You will search that location upon arrival. Based upon VKP intelligence data, you have ascertained that your Grimoire is located somewhere underground.
Please confirm via PM. Good luck!
It is now Night 1. Do not post in this thread until Day 2 starts.
All night actions must be submitted within 72 hours.
Sir Tieger, making his way through the Sanctum, found himself in a large open room with a huge chasm in the floor. Walking up to the edge, he peered down to see the waters of Leá Monde's river raging through.
"This must be the Advent Ground..." he muttered.
Eyeing a doorway on the other side of the chasm, Tieger began searching for a way across. Seeing no direct paths, he realized that the only way to the exit was to jump across a pair of small platforms that had not yet collapsed into the water. With no other option but to return the way he came, he sprinted forward and made a running leap onto the first one.
"'Tis one down," he said confidently. "And two more t'go!"
The second, smaller platform was fairly close to the first, so Tieger easily jumped across. Gathering himself, he prepared for the final jump. Without ample room to maneuver, this would be the toughest to make. He crouched down on his haunches, and like a jungle cat used all of his strength to leap forward toward solid ground.
He did not quite make it. As his gut slammed into the rock ledge, he barely caught himself, struggling to hold his weight up by digging his fingers into cracks in the old stone floor. As he struggled to hoist himself up, he felt a sudden rush of pain as a thick boot pressed down upon his left hand.
"Who's there?!" he cried out, scrambling to look up at the figure towering over him. "You..."
Before he could say another word, a longsword swung sharply down, slicing his right arm off at the elbow. His assailant smiled menacingly as he stomped down upon his remaining hand, crushing the bones within. Tieger plunged into the rivers below, to be carried out to sea.
Iso has been killed. He was Sir Tieger.
Iso, welcome to Vagrant Story Mafia!
You are Sir Tieger
"They will sing songs of your death here!"

I don't think Citric would have announced he was reaction testing Kami if he was actually trying to do it - that whole reason for voting defeated its own purpose and created a no-win situation for whatever Kami would have done there. I think it's pretty likely that he was lost between wagons and trying to find a safe way on one - read his end to the Day, basically after giving his willing to lynch list he doesn't take any stances on anyone and his posts feel like they're saying things without actually saying anything.

Ika got much quieter toward the end of Yesterday when the wagons were competing and stayed on Iso despite suspecting Citric while Citric had enough support to be lynched and Iso wasn't close. Considering that the alternative was to lynch two players that he didn't want to lynch (Hawk and Kami), I'd think he'd have been doing more to push Citric there - instead he just kept saying to lynch Iso and asking if anyone was at l-1 yet.
Ika - why are you voting Rhand and what do you think about Citric now?
Think I was probably wrong about Hawk.
I still don't like Rhand - spent time reading Hawk's scum meta, but didn't look at one of my main reasons for thinking Hawk was scum this game - which would have both helped with his read on Hawk and with his read on me. Don't buy his approach toward me this game is honest. Voted Kami but didn't give a reason why he thought he was scum or push why he should be the lynch despite him being the counter wagon to Hawk, who he was adamant is town. But I'm also thinking it's unlikely that he and Citric are scum together considering Citric's early game push on him based on Grimoire discussion. Doesn't seem like the kind of angle I'd expect Citric to take if they were buddies.
Seppel - why is Citric town? Who is scum?
Hunger – why were you moving between the Hawk and Kami wagons Yesterday? Walk me through your thought process.
Void - what changed between thinking that Citric was busing Hawk to preferring to lynch Kami over Hawk? Why were you willing to lynch Kami but not Hawk?
I found my grimoire yesterDay. Do I share where before the first ones start searching?
And shouldn't we force scummy players to search in locations that might hold the towniest player's Grimoires?
@Rhand: Did you find any other information about that location that you searched? (= Do you know whether there are any other Grimoires in that location.)

@Hawk - That assumes that you and Arch were the only two with the role, which probably shouldn't be assumed at all.
also,
vote Hawk
So I was thinking about how best to go about searching -- scummier players first, or townier players first?
Scummier are more likely to lie, but townier will benefit from more information.
My logic is that people who lie should eventually be caught in their lies and so they should go first.
If we use the metric from yesterday...
Citric: 7
Seppel: 6
Hawk: 6
DCIII: 5
Antny: 5
ika: 4
Void: 3
Hunger: 3
Rhand: 2
Bur: 1
This is roughly the order we should go searching, from top to bottom.
Any objections?

And shouldn't we force scummy players to search in locations that might hold the towniest player's Grimoires?
if thats the case why have you not seached somewhere for toDay?

I'll be searching the City Walls.

Also unless I've severely screwed something up, the scum can only be among Rhand, Antny223, Void, and DCIII.
