KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.

We still don't even know that a cult does, in fact, exist, so I don't think we should be in an absolute state of panic right now. I feel that Wheat's flip today would be the most beneficial in guiding us into endgame. The way I see it, there are 3 possibilities:
1) Wheat is town and not lying about his role. While this would suck, it would at least confirm that there is a cult in the game. Given the nature of the game, HP's role could very well be a red herring since an innocent child is likely to be targeted by scum early on. This could have been the mod's way of invoking cult fear for the rest of the game. I find it extremely unlikely that 2 cult related red herrings are in the game, so if Wheat's claim is true, we know for sure that we need to crack down and find the queen tomorrow. If we were to lynch either kami or karn today and the one we picked flips town, we would have no direction regarding the queen's existence.
2) Wheat is lying about his role and is mafia. It's possible that there isn't a queen, and Wheat is just playing off of the town's paranoia to fake a claim. If he does flip mafia, then we know that there isn't a queen because nothing would have stopped Wildfire from becoming a part of the cult. We know that Wildfire was not in the cult as of yesterday because he was redirected, which means he was the one in control of his ability, and not an independent queen.
3) Wheat is lying about his role and is the queen, in which case we can just focus on finding the last of the mafia because all of the cultists will then be eliminated.
Wheat definitely seems to be the safest lynch today in terms of having the best possible outcome. Based on these scenarios, I think that #2 is the most likely, especially considering the fact that wildfire was redirected on the night that he chose to kill Wheat. What I don't understand, however, is why Wildfire was not redirected the previous night where he had already claimed, but his kill was untouched in targeting Rai.

Hans: It's really likely given the unrecruitability of HP. I mean this game was advertised as a little bastard, but giving people false abilities is more than that.

DC: Do you think that, due to the fact that you and I are currently persuing the same person, you and I are both town for that reason?
Kind of. Not that we both suspect Karn so you're town. That you've been so outspoken about thinking I'm scum but didn't bat an eye a few posts later pursuing the person I shifted the wagon to (after complaining about the reason I did). I think you as scum would be too self aware for a play like that. I'm still baffled that you could think I'm scum at this point, though... and we'll have to talk post-game about it.

I agree with this. Unvote, vote Wheat_Grinder. It's possible I had swapped to Kami for some reason, but I'm fairly certain Wheat is the right choice.
As to why I was redirected last night and not the night before, there's a couple of possible options for that:
1) The redirection ability is really a "deflector" ability that redirects FROM a specific target to a second target rather than redirecting a specific person's actions to another target. (which would further point to Wheat being scum, as they'd want to use this to protect their own)
2) There's a scum JoaT who has one redirection/deflection shot
3) The scum (correctly) predicted that I'd shoot town and did not bother to redirect me
4) Wheat is really a passive role that deflects or reflects abilities used on itself at night (though this usually exempts killing roles, so this is unlikely)

Because I think he and Bur are lying about that based on his play. I'd like to figure that out. I'm not willing to let him coast through the rest of this game on a BS mason claim.

I played a game with DC where I was dead certain he was scum and it just ended so I can mention it: Wu-Tang Clan Mafia. I think it's better to look at Bur than DC, since DC is naturally scummy. Well, so is Bur but he's locked himself out of being anything other than town this game.
I've managed to townread DC in one, maybe two games that he's been town, and did so correctly. Deus Ex was one. I forget the second.
But the point is, I think I read him pretty well. He's not town this game.

Hey all... I'm retired, not dead. Check out what I'm doing these days (and beg me to come back if you want):

Using "fading into the background" as reasoning for me being scum this game is really poor. I've hardly been on this site at all for weeks, and my behavior had been the same in all my ongoing games - go ahead and check.
I just am busy. I actually told mod I wouldn't mind being replaced last time I got prodded, but we're super low on players to replace in so I told him I'd give it another shot, but I haven't found the time.
I don't think this will change the lynch going forward here considering the deals, but I hope it changes any forward meta-attempt you have to call me scum for 'lurking' because my lack of posting has nothing to do with the ingame situation here - and if you took half a second to look around at some of my other posts,or even some of my previous games where this has happeNed (as bothe town and scum), you would quickly realize that.
Karn's silence in lieu of the deadline also makes me feel good about this - as also with KJ and LnGr being the first votes on it with me. Rhand's vote makes me a little queasy in the way he couched it.
If I'm dead tomorrow, Kami, TCM, Wheat, Rhand is the grouping I'm most suspicious of (in that order again... Rhand keeps roping me back into worrying about him).
People I'd basically never touch:
Bur
Hans
Wildfire
Killjoy
People I'd probably dislike touching:
LnGr
Arian
Eh you like KJ's vote but not mine? Have you read why/when he voted?

Do you think mafia has daychat?
On other note, I've been bit busy with RL last few days (since Christmas), but I'll hopefully/maybe/perhaps try to read and do something before we hit the deadline.
@Hansa: I agree for most parts, but for #2, I also doubt Wheat would make so ballsy fakeclaim (considering she was 2nd one to claim) with no information about it. I mean, would you guys as mafia come up with such a claim when you have no information whatsoever about the set-up? Especially if Wheat flips mafia, she was practically the only way for town to combat cult.
It's either 1) Wheat is truthful and there probably is cult 2) Wheat is mafia and there most likely isn't cult 3) Wheat is the Queen.

Also modgaming Bur setups is kind of treading down a dark path

See, DCIII, this is my point: This is an odd statement to make, specifically how you like that me and Lngrrr are the first votes on with you, because neither me nor LnGrr would know who the queen was. Just because two people who (I assume you think) are town are the first on the wagon with you means nothing. It is more likely a buddying attempt on your part (which, also I've never seen you do ever as town, btw) which means you're more likely scum than not to me. Like I said though, you could have just been recruited.
It's not meant as defense. It's meant as looking into his mindset because he's telling nonsense.
The way you justified it with "Did you see why KJ voted" means you were using my vote in order to attempt to make his point less valid. Whether it was meant as such or not, that's what it was.
@Bur I do now. Read your mason chat. Do you think that DCIII was recruited? Does his tone change at any point?

KillJoy, are you around? I think we have no other choice than to hammer Wheat together if we want a lynch toDay.
Unless TCM checks in and hammers Karn. Or someone else, but I think TCM is the only one who voiced interest in that lynch.
I'm here, but I'm about to go shower. When is deadline? about 17 hours from now? I have work at 10:15 (about 3 hours) but I'll consider voting wheat later, maybe on my lunch.

Unvote, Vote: KamikazeArchon if I'm not.
I actually think this is better than Wheat now.

I'm supposed to be voting Kami as well.
LnGr
Arian

But the point is, I think I read him pretty well. He's not town this game.
Wheat - 4 - Karn, Hansanator, TCM, Wildfire,
Karn - 6 - LnGrrR, DCIII, Killjoy, Killjoy, Rhand, KA (L-1)
KA - 1 - Wheat
12 alive, 7 to lynch. Deadline 24 Dec 2014 10 PM CST (approximately 21 hours from this post)
Mod Activity Note: I'll be offline for most of the regular business hours today, and most of the night tonight due to various human-like activities like computer repairs, sleep, and a doctor's appointment. If we do get to a lynch, someone please tell me via AIM or something so that I can come in, I'll try to keep aim up on my phone.

Did my vote get taken away?
See, DCIII, this is my point: This is an odd statement to make, specifically how you like that me and Lngrrr are the first votes on with you, because neither me nor LnGrr would know who the queen was. Just because two people who (I assume you think) are town are the first on the wagon with you means nothing. It is more likely a buddying attempt on your part (which, also I've never seen you do ever as town, btw) which means you're more likely scum than not to me. Like I said though, you could have just been recruited.
The way you justified it with "Did you see why KJ voted" means you were using my vote in order to attempt to make his point less valid. Whether it was meant as such or not, that's what it was.
@Bur I do now. Read your mason chat. Do you think that DCIII was recruited? Does his tone change at any point?
Unless TCM checks in and hammers Karn. Or someone else, but I think TCM is the only one who voiced interest in that lynch.
I have one more hour and then I won't be able to post anymore before deadline I think.
Maybe tonight if I'm not too drunk to remember.
**** it we need a lynch today. Double Unvote, Double Vote Wheat.
God I hope I won't forget tonight then
If you believe Wheat is the queen, go ahead and hammer. We need info anyway.
I still think Karn is town but I can vote him if I have to in order to get a lynch.
I can also self-vote if I have to but that looks unnecessary, probably.
I've stated everything I want to on my end. For the love of God lynch Kami and Rhand if I'm gone.
I'd say leave off for a few hours so people can comment if they want to.
Should probably do that to avoid Whest's death.
But Karn would cover all plausible options for the Night.
Wildfire, shoot Wheat if Karn doesn't flip queen, ok?
That should give scum the choice between Kami and TCM.
Vote: Karn
Sorry for not participating as much as I should have this game. I think I need to lay off mafia for a while.
double vote Karn
