Well thank God. Saved me the pain of having to kill him myself. I received intelligence that Antny223 was trying to flee the country which I guess explains his absence. I suppose the pressure was too much for him to handle. Fortunately we had envoys at the Canadian border to dispose of him. They have confirmed his identity.
Good morning, agents. I'm afraid I have some startling news. The bodies of two of our fellow agents have been discovered: Niv and Seppel. Thorough intelligence reports and autopsies reveal their identities...
Name: Woodhouse
Alignment: Mafia
Role: Janitor
Codename: Niv
Bio: Sterling Archer's valet,
long-time friend of the Archer family
Intelligence: Niv's body was found with a rug.
Apparently he had intended to use this to
dispose of a corpse to conceal its identity.
Name: Rodney
Alignment: Town
Role: Supplier
Codename: Seppel
Bio: ISIS Requisitions Officer
Intelligence: Rodney's body was found with a bomb.
It appears to be rigged to explode when its wearer is shot.
It wasn't properly equipped to his body, however.
We're certain his intention was to give it to someone else.
There are a few other things I should mention. Agent hansanator has requested to be replaced. Agent Rhand has informed me he will be V/LA until 25 June.
It is now Day 2. With 13 alive, it takes 7 to burn. The deadline is 1600 EDT 5 July 2014.
Karn started suspecting me from my post 13, being as he claimed nervous and over explanatory, Generic. Don't make me pull up the list of actions up until a certain point in Sesame Street. That's over explanatory, Karn!
I can kind of see what you're thinking with voting Seppel, but man does the way he play make it hard to follow his thoughts in any way to get a good string of thoughts on what he is thinking. Not a fan of his style, but from last Night's results scum thought he was onto something.
For the record those he was interested in were Killjoy (his thoughts scum or idiot), SNL (scummy), Antny (Flipped Scum), Niv (Flipped Scum). So far the only people who have votes him were myself (serious, lack of explanation) and Rhand (RVS, Iso substitute).
----------
I do think it might not hurt to look at Niv's interactions, who interacted with him and who he interacted with.
He tried to derail the antny wagon fearmongering a pr role antny might have.
But don't worry hawk, if I'm rigt about him and the game doesn't end you are next after that pathetic exchange the pair of you had day 1. White knighting to discredit me and save Rhand? Lol.
Post 50: Starts out with a RVS style self-vote, before getting serious. Starts out with saying why he would vote me for reasons including not wanting to vote based on 13 alone, but of tone change in 22 for over the top panic over four quick votes that he feels are justified and missing voting reasons. Also is highly confused about the nature of why I would ask such questions in 29 and follows up with a question.
He then goes on to SNL, in retrospect this reads like coaching hidden in plain sight as I can't figure out if this is an accusation or accusing a player of being bad town.
IGMEOY's Hans for bandwagon vote and selective reading. Doesn't state outright whether this is scummy or not.
Highly critical of Rhand for his accusation of me protecting Cyan. Rants about it and how bad it is.
Critical of Wheat as well for his treatment of Cyan and silver rage (two different subjects).
Votes Rhand.
----------
I'm not familiar with Niv, but based on this I feel these things:
Myself: Accusatory, though confused why I would ask certain questions. You decide what this means.
SNL: Odd response that really doesn't go anywhere besides pointing out poor play. No indication of town or scum feelings. Coaching in plain sight?
Hans: Could be a bluff, but doesn't feel scum on scum.
Rhand: rants on and on about one point. Would scum be this openly critical of a teammate? I don't think so, but don't know if Niv has a history of bussing.
Wheat: Critical of Wheat. Seems to be a strike at credibility more than anything else.
Cyan: seems to have a bit of a defensive streak towards him. Why? Currently uncertain, but it wasn't a clear called defense.
----------
I think SNL deserves a look and maybe some pressure.
Vote: SelesnyaNewLife
Getting bad vibes from Karn, but that is hardly reliable as Rhand can tell you.
Considering how amazing Seppel tends to be in his reads (Anyone remember God's *****? Because I sure do...), I wouldn't be at all surprised if he was killed because he rattled some cages. Interestingly enough, SNL also interacted poorly with Niv. His last post before the day, he tried to town clear Generic because he's so sure Rhand is mafia. That sounds suspicious.

Cool: There is already a wagon forming on the person I wanted to push most. And town!Seppel had also voted him.
Not Cool: It seems like it's forming too easily and Shock, who I don't have a town read on, started it. And Rhand, who I have also been suspicious of, is on it.
I think I'm back to a town read on Generic. Based on some meta stuff I took a look at during Night and his interactions with Niv.
Going to reread Niv now, especially for SNL interactions.
@Karn: Shock crumbed his rolename and modgamed. I am pretty sure he's town.
@Voxx: Antny made a terrible post with the worst explanation for an unvote of Shockwave. Something along the lines of 'he is still scummy but I do unvote without revoting someone else for no real reason'.
Many votes followed, and he got eventually lynched a few hours before he would've been modkilled (with day end) for disappearing.
The wagon formed so fast that I am pretty sure most scum aren't on it: there hardly was time to think about a bus. If scum is on the wagon, they made a very fast call there.
@everyone (or almost everyone): you can't post less than me. I am on vacation with hardly any internet access.
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.
I'm gonna have to agree with Karn here. Crumbing your name and modgaming aren't things I've ever associated with Town specifically. Can you explain to me why they are?

If you're using that, Rhand to town clear me... Ouch. I'm in trouble for having a clear from you Rhand.
I've crumbed successfully in Walking Dead as town, attempted to do so with less success in Hayate but have also willingly crumbed character during a mafia loss (mod given false claim) in Star Wars and true claimed during a mafia win (by way of teammate) in Llamas with hats mafia.
Also currently unsure what you mean by modgaming?
---------
@SNL: I don't think its impossible for him to point out his awareness of lack of Day chat and still attempt to coach his teammates. 106 seems a round about way of pointing out the flaw of Generic's post 56.
I won't rule out false leads like Void left for Burning Earth and Mirrorentity in Walking Dead, but I won't just let it go overlooked.
Also took a look at 133, this reads to me less as a defense and more not agreeing with a stance taken by several players. You go on to question me at the end of the post for leaving a RVS post to linger on Wheat.
----------
@Seppel:
Crumbing can be done successfully as mafia too, especially if they want to try to steer the town away from making them claim. It seems like a poor way to clear someone, even if they do it as town.

Not in the right frame of mind to try and figure out alignments from Generic vs. Rhand or Karn argument #6238.
I'm seriously lacking in town reads. Hoping that changes through the second half of d1/first part of d2 here, given my playstyle revolves around hunting town and narrowing down the gamestate via PoE.
Currently wouldn't mind a 4-pronged gun to shoot Generic, Rhand, SNL and Cantrip, based on what I've read so far. Obviously all aren't scum, but decent chance at hitting 1-2. Will try to gain some clarity later.
Just.
Mark me as town and carry on. I'll be useful eventually.
Like. Do you guys have to do this every single game.
It's like my brain puts your words in a blender, mixes them with every game I've read in the last year and a half and hits 'hi' on the speed dial.
Maybe it doesn't bother me if I'm following the game as it happens, but I want to Figure Things Out, and my brain is refusing to process it, because it just all looks so familiar.

Yet strangely you failed to notice pretty much all of them came after me.
So yes, I will defend my corner EVERY SINGLE GAME. Live eith it or jump on the generic mislynching bandwagon. It's not me that will get penalised with the scoring.
Oh hey, look at all the fearmongering.
On an unrelated note, I realized something: Cyan voted me for my reasons for voting TK... and basically ignored Niv. He said that we were both scummy, but my vote was worse because I "tried to hide my reasoning in the middle of a post" which was bull*****.
Yeah, Cyan is scum for sure.

I am not 100% sure of Shock's towntell, but sure enough to not want to lynch him.
Figuring out the setup is how Shock plays the game as town, and that is what he seems to be doing.
I will take a look at Llama's with hats when I am home to see if he did it as scum too.
You've used conf bias plenty of times as a defense when someone elses argument is invalid. I want to know how the flips support your theory instead of you short cutting and conf biasing. Until you answer this correctly instead of throwing up smoke screens, my vote is staying right here.
#50 Rhand - At a time that Rhand was being pressured and had gotten a few votes. This was also Niv's first post and sort of a catch up post.
#85 TK - For TK's vote on Niv. Still questioning Rhand though and finds Rhand, SNL, and Karn suspicious. This is in the thick of of Rhand v Generic and after Rhand had acquired another vote. Kind of feels like he was trying to slow down the Rhand train.
#190 Karn - This comes right after the Antny wagon starts. He quotes me and says he agrees with the Antny post being really bad and then in the next post he pushes TK more and accuses him of not answering his questions, but yet votes Karn for misrepping Generic by calling him cautious. Pretty weak. I think this makes Karn town as he was trying to divert attention from Antny, but not sure what it says about TK.
He didn't ever vote Shock or SNL but he did have some notable interactions with them:
Shock: In #50 he says the wagon on Shock was justified and that his posts are really weird. He pushes him to answer a question about why he would say what he said, but in the end votes Rhand.
He then says Shock failed in his answer in #106 and had a scum mindset in every way, yet didn't want to vote him because he was still OMGUSing TK. And then when the Antny wagon started, he didn't go back to Shock who he said, "consider my vote on you too" but instead tried to go after Karn to divert the wagon.
I can't see why, if Shock was town and already under pressure, and he had basically said he thought he was scum, why Niv wouldn't go to him for a counter-Antny wagon instead of Karn. Either he forgot that he was pegging Shock as scum, or he is a buddy that he didn't want to apply pressure to and force two scum wagons.
I think it looks really bad for Shock.
SNL: Basically just one really weird comment towards him in #50.
He basically says he is scummy, but that he answered it well. It just doesn't fit in with the rest of the post. He isn't pushing him, isn't calling him a scum or town lean, and isn't asking him any questions. It's just sort of there in the middle of questioning a lot of other people and not sure why he felt the need to comment on it.
SNL has some weird stuff of his own accord too. Like his first post where he says he doesn't like the Shock wagon, says Shock looks like he is in his town meta, but then he starts questioning Shock and putting more pressure on him? Weird. He doesn't really have any interaction with Antny or Niv other than asking a few people why they joined the Antny wagon.
Shock also picked up on the weird interaction between Niv and SNL and dubbed it coaching. Shock stayed off the Antny wagon as long as possible while saying he could see where it was coming from. He also said we should be making cases on others while waiting on Antny, which I suppose could come from town trying to hard to appear town by suggesting we scumhunt, but it could also be diverting.
I don't think Shock and SNL are buddies. If Shock is scum, pushing a scum!SNL lynch out of the gates after losing two already doesn't make sense.
Then if we look at what Antny had to say in #189, the Shock interaction is super weird considering it's what got him lynched. Also of note, he calls Cyan, Hans, and TK scum, which probably guarantees at least two of the three are town, but of course it's WIFOM. Also of note, he calls Rhand town.
Karn is my best town read at this point and he thinks Shock is scum. There is evidence that looks bad for Shock being scum. I had been leaning towards Shock being scum as well. So...
There is precedence for hammer-related roles. I know Ganderin_Dan had one, but i don't remember whch gane that was. Polyopticon maybe. It had something to do with his ability to vote.

Maybe it doesn't bother me if I'm following the game as it happens, but I want to Figure Things Out, and my brain is refusing to process it, because it just all looks so familiar.
Yeah, whatever, sleep.
Vote Cyan.
Lets do this.
And you literally said that "if you lynch me, you will get penalized in the scoring". Using fear to detract from your lynch is fearmongering, by definition.
Figuring out the setup is how Shock plays the game as town, and that is what he seems to be doing.
I will take a look at Llama's with hats when I am home to see if he did it as scum too.

How is this not conf bias?

For everyone else who has no idea what I'm talking about. I'll find examples of generic using this as a defense in other games when I get time.

His votes were as follows:
So...
Vote: Shock
