The sun ducks below the horizon and all kinds of creepy-crawly things come out of the wood work. And that's when they go to work trying to ensure that it never rises again. The nocturnal beings have enacted a plan to keep it dark forever. However, there's those who fight against this plan. They are nocturnal, but have reasons to bring back the sun. Who here is trying to restore the natural balance?
You are a Night Auditor, Mod God
Your job is to make sure a hotel is safe, the money is counted correctly and all guests are taken care of. No daylight means that guests just keep sleeping, and you have infinite time to sit around and make mafia set ups.
During the night, you can do anything.
During the day, you can do anything.
RULES!
1. Be nice and have fun. This is a game first and foremost.
2. Usual MTGS and Mafia rules apply. You have the benefit of your mod also being a Mod!
3. Unless it's spelled out in your role, do not talk about the game outside of the game. Talking outside will result in modkills.
4. Do not quote your PM. You may paraphrase flavor and ability. Quoting will result in modkills.
5. Bold your votes and unvotes. I would also ask that you make sure your votes/unvotes are on their own lines, as sometimes I can miss them if within text.
6. Lynches will happen at majority votes. This cannot be reversed and any more votes or unvotes won't be counted. Twilight will go until I show up with a death scene.
7. Editing or deleting a post will result in modkills.
8. I will prod after ~72 hours. I will prod twice more every 24 hours, and then they will be replaced. I'll be trying to keep track, but I'm forgetful, so if you think I've missed one, feel free to ask.
9. Flavor-gaming is bad and will likely end very poorly.
10. The town win condition is "You win when threats to the Night are eliminated."
The mafia win condition is "You win when you equal or control the town votes."

I don't have any hard numbers on this, but I'm targeted more often than a black guy driving a beat-up sedan with a broken tail-light and no license plate, and Cy's well aware of that.

Do people actually think the law of averages will not allow someone to draw scum repeatedly?
I was scum in something like 5 of the first 7-8 games on MS. It happens.
And as a side point, if anyone tries to stonewall an opinion with setup gaming here I'm policy lynching. That's still a fresh wound.
Sir karn, do we finally get to put our heads together as town? I think we have yet to share a town team, apart from smalltown which you messed up regarding me
You both were also town days 1 and 3 of Modfia. If that counts for anything.
But yeah, I'm pretty sure the law of averages doesn't actually ever apply. After Marvel and then our most recent game together, I'm not believing you're town-aligned without a flip (either from you or a cop who's previously investigated you as town).

Seems to be agreeable to the accusation he's scum, he's more objecting to the fact that he's being called "unlucky" for it.

It's actually called gambler's fallacy. Wikipedia entry on the subject. Everyone's odds of being scum this game are the same as in every 12 player basic is: ~25%. Firstly, Unvote since we're out of RVS, apperently.
I approve of the Cantrip pressure.
I'm liking Wildfire so far.
Karn: Regarding your vote on Cantrip: Why? I'd like to hear your reasoning on it.
Rather unlucky for you to roll scum three times in a row, dude.
1. It wouldn’t be three times in a row; I was just town in MMMM.
2. I wouldn’t see it as unlucky at all; I tend to do pretty well as scum.[/quote]
It's 3 in a row for the ones I've been in with you.
And I'd say it is unlucky for you, as I don't think you're doing that well as scum, considering I already figured you out.

I would very much disagree with you, sir.
That everyone's odds of being scum in this game start out at 25%? Why?

@Paper: Cantrip is scum because his posts come from a scum mentality, and look far too identical to his scum meta for it to be a coincidence (and I've had lots of recent exposure to his scum game).

True that you’ve had lots of exposure, but always when you were also scum. How do you know it looks the same from (what you claim is) a town perspective?

I reckon it's about time you drew scum.

This game, I'm sticking to the red stuff.

What is Cantrip's scum meta? To what game is his play here mimicking to, and how?
Why do you say his vote is terrible? What about his vote is bad, in your opinion?
Karn: Can you back that up with some examples?
I'm not?
Do you think it's ok for Sir Karn to nakedly point fingers on two players less than 60 posts in?
