Hmmm... another thing that bothers me is he's this adamant about people he's never played with before... Besides Plum it appears?
The intention I'm getting is that he's trying to start a bus going and already appealing for help from you specifically. How exactly does he know your town?

I'm always town
What does he have to gain from bussing this early?
I find it a little odd B_E is so adamant about his reads this early into day1, showing no signs of paranoia or afterthought... like a bull in a China shop. At first I thought it was town firing themselves up a bit, but the longer it continues the more I'm feeling it's scum trying to emulate town fire.
Vote B_E
You believe strong reads to be a scumtell?
I certainly know some people consider that scummy.
But I am so experienced that I have transcended ridiculousness into not caring what people think about me even though it might make them think I am scum.
Ok, not really >_> but it is true I don't really care.
Crossfiyah you realise the sentence I quoted just said I merely RNG'd the vote right? That's not a reason for it being an RNG vote... what the hell are you talking about?
Plum the post prior to that by you was basically you saying you agree that some people read the game that way but you don't care. It amounted to nothing. What was the point of it?
No. It looked like you were saying "I'll go and come up with reasons now" AFTER saying it was an RNG vote. You claimed it was an RNG vote, then looked for reasons for it to be a legit vote, and then claimed it benefited town when suspicion turned on you, because it somehow stirred up conversation. That's how I interpreted it, at least.

That's one giant stretch. You're even misinterpreting what I said either intentionally or in your mistaken joy of thinking you've found scum. I said I had no reason to REMOVE the vote. Which until I refreshed the page, I hadn't got one. I wasn't justifying how I ended up on him in the first place. It was utterly random.
I think we need more attention on Hunger. I agree with "RobotWizard", Hunger seems willing to give too many people a pass. The only reads he has posted so far have been leaning town, or neutral reads. He hasn't actually mentioned any posts that he thought stood out or seemed suspicious in any way. I am 100% fine with stating town or neutral reads, but I don't see any process that really lead him to these, or the desire to actually make sure he's correct. He seemed content to come in, state that none of the arguments so far have convinced him of anyone seeming scummy, and then take off. Perhaps this is just how Hunger plays. Kaze said that it reminds him of how Hunger played as town. But that sort of playstyle is really easy to fake as scum, so I wouldn't give him a pass for it. In addition to this, the overall tone of Hunger's first post immediately made me wary of him. Way too calm and collected, as if trying to sound like the voice of reason.
I'm not sure what to make of Menu's defensiveness here. He even threatened to vote me. I'd like to think he knows that I don't care about any threats like that, so why did he do it? And I don't like the way he kept defending his RNG vote and his decision not to post content. He seemed a bit surprised that we weren't going to let him get away with it. He was also notably upset that I didn't answer his "Are you scum?" question. But, Menu, why does this really matter? Obviously, if I did answer it, I'd just say no. Do you think its more likely that a scum Dels would've ignored it? If yes, why? If no, why mention it?
I don't know what to say about B_E. I agree that he seems like town. But his overconfidence doesn't help us at all. You think you figured out the entire scumteam 8 pages in? Congrats. Except you don't really think that. I'm sure you're smart enough to know that you don't have it right this early. Do us all a favour and take a step back and start being honest. It won't get you anywhere to keep pushing like this, because no one is going to listen you. I am not a fan of people who fake confidence simply for the sake of faking confidence. Be honest with us, tell us which of those three people you really believe are scum, and tell us which ones you have doubts about, and why.
Kaze, I am not a fan of your posting style. The big catch up list is nice, but that sort of thing is easy to fake as town. In addition to that, it gives me very little to work with, because I can't quite tell why your vote is on me other than that you didn't like some of my posts. There is nothing I can say in defense to this. So you disagree with my logic? Okay. Sorry. You don't like that I said RVS is stupid? Get in line. I also notice you seem to have an issue with people being "self-aware". Do you believe that scum are more likely to do this? If so, why? Also, your final point on your list was "RobotWizard got off to an awkward start." but you never elaborated. How was it awkward? (This is the problem with lists like this...you make these points and don't ever expand unless someone calls you out. If you're scum, then it looks great for you that you're having so many thoughts! But its not especially helpful to the rest of the town.)
I don't agree with the assessment that Hunger has just towncleared everyone. He says Dels and I are both likely town, neutral on BE and Chris, and leaning scum on Plum for self-meta. For five other players, that's a decent spread.
Also, with only 6 people in the game at that point, it's very possible that no one who's scummy had posted by that point.
Good to see another strongly opinionated post out of Dels.
Kaze throws up a few red flags for me. He posts a fairly long catchup post. It's got some decent opinions in it, but (to me), it looks like an attempt to buddy me, and ends with him basically /barn-ing my case on Dels. He calls out people in multiple places for being self-aware and self-metaing, but then he ends his post by saying "hey everyone here's my meta".
His followup posts seem to be pretty level-headed though
Menu_Wars continues to bumble. His vote on BE and subsequent "I'll lynch you if you don't X" just has me facepalming.
Crossfiyah's opening post isn't much better though, picking up on exactly the wrong part of Menu's opener. I guess it's an easy mistake to make, but considering I had a conversation with Menu immediately after the quoted post where I clarified exactly what Crossfiyah called out as false, it just comes off as someone who browsed for specific things he could call out and didn't delve any deeper.
I think we're still one short (Meowblade) from having everyone check in.

Yeah, that is part of why I questioned him on his thoughts on what being self-aware means. Curious about his answer to that.
And Hunger didn't say leaning scum on Plum in his first post. He said it seemed "self-concious, but not obvscum". There's a difference. (To me, anyway) Anyway, I didn't say he towncleared, I even said his reads were town OR neutral. You misunderstood what I said, possibly.
And don't get your hopes up for Meowblade. Trust me.
I took "self-conscious, but not obvscum" to mean that he found the behavior scummy, but not 100% so, hence lean, but I guess it'd be better to hear from Hunger. Many more people and interactions to comment on now.
So Meowblade makes a habit of posting late/infrequently? Is this somnething he tends to do as scum, or independent of his alignment?

Not obvscum as in, "hey guys this guy is obvscum and you are dumb if you aren't voting him," but nonetheless, I am leaning scum on him at the moment.
@Wizard - I'm not going to argue your vote on me as it's highly predicated on how you view my playstyle, but there is 9 pages of content, what do you think about BE, Dels, and Wildfire? Seems like it would be tough to not have some opinion on them with the amount of content they have.
@Dels - You can search me up on the site, I think I have like 4? other games here if you want to get an idea of a meta for me. I typically get more involved as the game goes on, vote sparingly, and post if I actually have something worth saying/am asked a question. I'm not as good at behavior analysis/"slips" and do a lot better with flips/vote analysis/claims to work with. But every game is different of course.
You seem to be implying I came in and said some stuff and vanished, but I typically post during the day while I have time at work and rarely post in the evenings. I posted yesterday during the day a couple times, went home, got to work this morning and there were over 70 new posts.
I have a couple things I want to reread today when I get a chance, so more thoughts later.
Sometimes it's hard being seen. Sometimes you just want to burrow into the ground, where no one can ever see you again -- even the site mods. Yes, this is the end of the line for you.

You know what's easy to fake as scum?
Everything, if you're good enough at playing scum. But sometimes you just have to apply Occam's razor lest you start tilting at windmills.
I agree that B_E's overconfidence isn't exactly a boon to the rest of the town, but at least he's trying. Not to mention wearing his alignment on his sleeve which I'm never unhappy with.
Ah, you're unhappy you have nothing to defend against? Does it make you upset that I'm not giving you a soapbox to stand upon? That's good to know.
I believe scum are indeed more likely to be self-aware. Town shouldn't really care about themselves most of the time. Town's job is to find scum. Scum's job is to survive. Makes sense that the latter would be more self-aware.
RobotWizard strikes me on a gut level. I'll get back to you.

Considering scummyness can be attributed to any samplesize of people in terms of most-to-least scummy, it's horribly odd that one could look at everyone who posted and just go "they're all town" rather than attempt to put them in a list of priority, don't you agree?
Did I /barn your case? Or did I put up no case at all~? And of course I'd post my meta. I know tons of players who play by meta almost exclusively. I just figured it would be fair.
By "facepalming" do you mean "omg he's so obvscum" or "omg he's such idiot town"?
I'm not sure RoboWiz has posted enough to really read yet. His take on Hunger, I don't agree with, but I can understand the reasoning on. That's the only content he's posted so far. That could be indicative of an unwillingness to engage, but it could also just be indicative of not having had time to engage yet. I'm reserving judgment for now.

May I have a link to the site several of the players here apparently originate from?
Hunger, Burning_Earth, and myself have played here. Myself exclusively, I don't know about the other two.
Plum, Chris, Meowblade, and Dels I believe are all from the gamefaqs boards.

Again, he didn't say they were all town. Of five, he had two townreads, two neutrals, and a scum-lean. That's at least some priority.
As far as posting your meta goes, that could definitely be interpreted as a certain amount of awareness of your own meta. "Hey, look at how I've played before, so you can put me in town when I play like I've played town before".
As for Menu, I wouldn't say he's for sure scum, but he's certainly throwing up red flags as fast as he can get his hands on them.

No. It looked like you were saying "I'll go and come up with reasons now" AFTER saying it was an RNG vote.
