*There are no hidden win conditions in this game. Win conditions will not be listed in Role PMs.
*This game consists of 9 Town and 3 Mafia. It is of a Basic complexity so as to be more beginner-friendly. If you do not know what a Basic Mafia game is, I recommend you peruse the Mafia subforum to obtain a working knowledge of what that constitutes.
*The Town's win condition is: Defeat the mafia.
*The Mafia's win condition is: Control the vote.
Your own reasonings with your early votes were what... Not flimsy?
My only serious vote this game was the one I just made against Karn. (I was literally telling people that I was voting for them for no reason )
Karn was clearly serious about getting people to vote for you early on, which means:
-Karn's scum, and wanted to look like a scumhunting townie.
-You and Karn are both scum, and planned it.
The only way that would work is if the Scum have Day Chat and that is not very common around here. If SN is Scum, then I believe the Scum have Day Chat as well with Night Chat.
As someone who has never experienced Llamas With Hats beyond the picture provided in the signup thread (no, haven't even had the time to check the youtube link), a mass nameclaim would provide me with absolutely bupkus. Why do you think that Iso would allow his game to be gamed by a mass nameclaim?
I won't continue to push it any longer, but I really don't think that we have got anything to lose from trying it. To sum up the videos very briefly (although I recommend watching them because they are quite humorous, imo) a llama, named Carl, discusses with his friend the brutal ways in which he kills his victims in each episode.
Based on that information alone, I don't see any realm that exists in which Carl would not be mafia. So that player either claims Carl and is scum or cannot produce a false claim and is scum. I don't see any downside.
Re Karn: How many games have you played with Sir Karn?
Re Wheaties: Please explain why is PBPA merits Town credit.
Re Rodemy: Rodemy is getting use to playing on the site. It's normal for someone to stop posting as much when they gain more confidence in the game. Your correct that it is something to note, but there is no way you can base an alignment read on that information accurately.
Re Carl is Scum: When has flavor gaming like this ever done any good?
@Wheaties:
I find your case to be rather weak considering your conviction to lynch Rhand. Most of the points you have against Rhand are small in comparison to other players. Most of his posts, according to what you posted, are mainly fluff.
Why do you believe Rhand would be behaving this way when an SNL lynch is on the verge of happening? Rhand has been acting rather silly. Do you believe Rhand is trying to distract away from something else that is happening?

From what I've researched on Rhand, he is posting from his scum mindset rather than his town mindset. The points on Rhand may seem small, but that is something I expect after Hayate, where I refused to lynch him because he was the only player who was playing well. I don't think it's possible to catch Rhand in the conventional sense, so I'm looking at him in an unconventional sense.
I think Rhand is trying to act in a way that aligns him with the majority of the town.
I already answered this. Read the thread. The tl;dr is that he's that weird sort of noob who's played before but is new to the MTGS way of thinking. This makes him *look* scummy but there's enough consistency that he might just be confused town. However, there are some breaks in this consistency that might or might not mean he's scum too.
I need to see more of his posting after his change of heart (where he decided to get serious) and get a better handle on his mindset. Right now there's not enough to lynch him, imo.
You seriously think that claiming names will give away who to target? Seriously?!
I mean what would people get from a name like "A Giant Vat"?!
...
...
...
Oh hell. Dropped my character name. Might as well full claim.
I am, A Giant Vat, town psychosis inducing beverage giver!
My ability is that I may give the mod a drink any time I want to. At thresholds unknown to me effects of my drinks, such as the Votecount errors begin to creep in. Eventually the mod won't even be able to post stuff straight as any post he does must be done in "drunk speech".
Also, I have a secret win-con (he lied in the opening...), which is to give him enough drinks to think the Grapist is real and to run away in terror! Fear me Iso! Fear me!!!
Fuublefuublefuuble!!!
If this was a joke post, I don't see why Shock would put in the effort to go to the first page of the thread, read the rules, and type accordingly.
So you think Shockwave's post is serious and legitimate?

Thank you for choosing
Rodemy Pizza
It’s not the best choice, but it’s a choice nonetheless
@Wheaties:
Your conviction is strong, but the evidence doesn't support a Scum mindset only. Everything that Rhand has done can come either mindset. I believe you're going after Rhand because he is playing differently which makes for him being an easy target. I believe that you are Scum trying to push a counter wagon to SNL.
Maybe wheat thought it would be easy to get your wagon going again considering a few people jumped on you early and wheat might have been trying to playoff of shockwave and my bias towards you given hayate.
If he is scum with SNL, this is one of the better case scenarios that he could hope for, makes me and karn look bad for advocating your lynch early and stops scum from getting lynched.

I AM GOING AFTER RHAND BECAUSE HE IS PLAYING THE SAME

Re Carl is Scum: When has flavor gaming like this ever done any good?
I believe the the only complete game that I have played with Karn was BSG. I played the first day of Smalltown Swap with him, but I was extremely inactive due to sickness until I was replaced.
Because he was producing content with his PBPA's, as opposed to when he was following the PR. I don't necessarily agree with all of the points that he made in his PBPA, but it showed that he was putting effort into analyzing those players.
Well I don't have any specific examples of flavor gaming doing good, but that is because nobody ever cooperates so I haven't gotten the opportunity to make it do good. In retrospect, however, there are games like the pokemon modfia that I am 98% confident I could have easily solved if everyone softclaimed information that had nothing to do with their role abilities, like I originally proposed.

"I'm a compulsive liar no matter what team I play on, but I'm trying to get better about it."
I'll need to take another look at Hayate Mafia to compare to how Rhand is playing here. But this does feel different than Rhand's usual play. It could be coming off of that game that is affecting his play, maybe a bit of style bleed, but it is worth checking.
And to clarify the joke claim further, I chose to include that bit about the win cons to further solidify that as a joke claim. Bastard rules like what I claimed their have absolutely no place in basics. Still scratching my head that Rhand insisted he didn't understand my post as a joke.
@Wheaties:
Take a deep breath. I'm not meaning to get you angry or emotional in anyway. I get why you pushing Rhand. I have from the beginning. You believe that Rhand is playing to his Scum meta from because of Hayate.
I'm merely saying that you shouldn't be putting that much stock into a meta read since Rhand is capable of changing his game play from game to game. Meaning that he could very well be playing into his Scum meta to throw off the Scum team. Reaction baiting if you want to call it that.
I have an important question for you Void, and the answer, if it is what I believe it to be from your last post, will give Rhand as scum from a behavioral point of view as well (I think. I need to make sure one last time once I have your answer that my logic is sound by checking the posts of others as well.)
@Cant Why was your vote on me serious? Last time you "baited" that i remember, you were bussing me in Apoco. As scum... soooo..
I'm watching you ._.
It wasn't serious; that was the point. And yes, it was in the same vein as Apoco in that I warned you to expect being the D1 policy lynch for the next 15 games or so.
If this was a joke post, I don't see why Shock would put in the effort to go to the first page of the thread, read the rules, and type accordingly.
SNL's first real post was a bit too long in coming, but it resolved the concern I had with him, namely that he was playing like a VI who knew too much. This post doesn't make any sense, though.
-______- If you are referencing Porn star where i didn't know what "bussing" was, i am going to stab you with a pencil....
Thank you for making me laugh.

Wheat's #206 is concerning, comes off as overexplanatory on the "seeing Void as double-voter", and name mixup, although the latter is more understandable.
I have suspicions on Wheat and Rhand. I don't think SNL is scum. I realized that if Megiddo is scum, it's going to be hella difficult to figure him out.
I know this isn't much, but this weekend kicked my butt, and I don't have a lot of time right now, either. Sorry.
@Rodemy: Do you think Cantrip is bussing you this game?
-______- If you are referencing Porn star where i didn't know what "bussing" was, i am going to stab you with a pencil....
I'll also assume that's a no then.
Eh you're probably right. The wincon thing is silly.
Shock: is that whole post made up?
Well, except for the name. I have no idea why a Giant Vat would care about a human killing llama.

Rereading Rhand.
Rhand is more than capable to switch how he plays from game to game.
So you think Shockwave's post is serious and legitimate?
Then why is he playing EXACTLY THE SAME AS HAYATE
I made that comment to show that you cannot be certain of his alignment based on meta.

If SNL, flips Town, then you revert back to a null read and Rhand becomes a possibility to be Scum, but still not likely to be the case.
This feels as unlike Rhand as possible. Quickreading what seemed obvious as a joke claim as real?
