I'm really disappointed that a scumteam consisting of: obvScum lynched Day1, 2 lurkers playing nothing like their town meta - were able to take down the game. They really didn't do anything and the town just tore themselves apart.
The setup really does punish lazy town. Sure, you have 3 (almost 4, if you include the Bodyguard!) confirmed townies, but they're all easy Nightkill targets after they claim since the Bodyguard's only good for one real protection, but if you just say, "eh, game's solved, let's lynch whomever", then things like this happen.

Hawk, no offense, but you need to step up your analysis skills. Must say out of those that survived until endgame I'd say Rhand had the best analysis, but wheat did the best maintaining himself as town until right at the end.
Town MVP Karn, you did have us picked out towards the end, it shows why you were the last NK. If you lived I think this game could have easily gone the other way.
Also well played Hans, even if it was a close call towards the end.
Plus love the fact people saw me as connected to Rodemy and almost used that against Rhand.
I feel obligated to apologize to everyone: I really was uber busy in real life throughout most of the game, and it made me feel bad that I was so inactive. I tried to invest in this game as much as possible in my free time though.
Also, I was lol'ing pretty hard every time people refused to do the name claim. I knew that no matter how much the idea made sense and would have helped the town, no one would agree to it if I proposed it.
Major props to Shockwave--I would not have been able to endgame had it not been for his bulletproof claim.

I felt like I was talking to walls.
Hawk and Wheat had decided they wanted to lynch me before the day started. They interpreted all my work as scummy.
Hawk more so than Wheat. Wheat at least kept interacting.

Hawk basically decided on Rhand 2 Days ago and wrote off Hans for no reason. It was really frustrating.
@shockwave, just because I didn't post a case doesn't mean I wasn't actively analyzing everything. I made a call with the information I had and it was wrong.
I felt like I was talking to walls.
They interpreted all my work as scummy.
Now imagine that happening in every game and you've got Wheat plays Mafia.
I need to take a break from mafia for awhile (maybe a month or so) so when I come back in refreshed perhaps I don't do something stupid so quickly and get lynched or almost lynched.

That is the number 1 trap town players fall into endgame Lylo in my eyes. They get lazy, automatically assume X has to be Mafia and don't talk. Information is key to this game and I personally think it is even more so on the final Day should it come to it.
I'm V/LA until 11/03
I will have sporadic internet access so I won't disappear completely, but I don't think I'll be able to post every day.
I know that going here may not feel right to some people, but could Rhand have actually submitted the NK (especially so quickly) while being on V/LA and not having posted in the thread for the last 9-10 days?
Some people would probably consider this against the spirit of the game - please refrain from such speculations.
I kind of forced myself to lynch rhand in end game because I felt like this was the biggest reason why I would clear him and want to lynch hans. I didn't want to ruin the spirit of the game by making assumptions based on outside information. Sorry if I costed the town the game.
If only Rodemy wasn't hammered when i first made my Hans case... i think we would've won right there and then.
Yea. I was beating myself up in the mason chat that I didn't stop the Rodemy lynch. I realized he was town before the hammer but I didn't really do much about it.

There's no excuse for my play this game, but I was pretty annoyed that I couldn't even get out my last thoughts. One of the points I wanted to make was that Shockwave and Rhand were not scum together, because Rhand would never react to Shockwave's claim like he did if they were scumbuddies.
After I misread Void (and was wrong about SNL), I sorta gave up on myself, and it took me way too long to get my confidence back. It's embarrassing that happened to me, but for some reason I couldn't get myself to really get back into it after that. I'm really sorry, this is the first time I've been mislynched in a very long time, but I knew that Wheat wasn't scum after his self vote, and I knew I would be a liability at LyLo if I wasn't lynched then.
I need to stop lurking and playing like poop.

And the Rolecop investigated himself twice in a row during the last Nights - probably to be silly.
There's the Hans I know and love
But yeah Hans, you've come a long way from the RBO days. No offense, but I would have never guessed that you would be able to survive with the playerbase here. You did really well, only way I would've guess you were scum was by PoE.
(on the mass/softclaim suggestion, I didn't want to do it because the opening flavor hinted that the scum wouldn't be obvious, and scum typically have falseclaims anyway, and I really dislike relying on flavor)
~
I liked the setup; I'm a fan of Masons in a basic, cause it gives new players another head to talk to and bounce reads/ideas off of. Bodyguards aren't "confirmable" per say, so it's a nice pair up with masons+doublevoter. I did actually think the mafia had a toughguy, don't see those enough in basics (and @Void, there was a basic that had one, basic #24 American Pie Mafia IIRC), but rolecop works too. Similar to basic 11 ninja pirate mafia.

Seeing how many experienced players were on the town, not to mention 3 of them were confirmed, I was extremely surprised that I didn't crash and burn. I suppose we just got kinda lucky that the town imploded on themselves. Everyone thought that they had the game solved by like D2, so every time somebody realized that that wasn't the case, we would kill that person to keep the town in the dark. In that sense, I think that our kills worked very well. We didn't even try going after Void until we happened to hit the bodyguard because we didn't know if the town had any protection and we couldn't risk missing a NK. Also, N1 we killed Cantrip because, from a very limited amount of sampling space from past games, his reads are spectacular.
Aside from trying to be more active (which is a problem in all of my games), what are some things that I can improve on when I am scum?

Bodyguards are pretty much for preserving confirmed town roles. Makes the scum team waste a NK, instead of hitting their intended target.
Bodyguards have synergy with Masons and Charismatics. Confirm based on role and they become high priority targets for scum teams. Naturally you want to have them protected, and bodyguards by them an extra Day if they are helpful.
I think in an unusual way we're rolling back around to Hawk's chain lynch suggestion if we take the claims as being true.
So my chain lynch suggestion if people don't remember was the following.
Lynch Wheat/Itf. If one flips scum, the other is.
If wheat is town, lynch shockwave.
If shockwave flips scum, lynch rhand. If shockwave flips town. cry.
It's weird that you would bring up the chain lynch when the current state of the flow chart arrives at you.
Maybe we should just go back to lynching rhand.
Wheat, Karn, Myself and Void need to be on the same page. I'm going to assume void is town because the double voting scum is very punishing for town in a basic and I don't think void would appeal to emotion like that without genuinely having those feelings.
The big thing I'm wondering is what power roles could the scum have? Rolecop is useless, roleblocker is useless. Maybe a 1 shot vig or something?
@Rodemy
Your mafia stats link doesn't provide any information. Point me to two mafia games preferably 1 recent scum and 1 recent town game.
Scum: Apoco
Town: Ummm... TMNT
I already told you who i think is scum....
And since we aren't lynching you or karn..
Hans and shockwave are the last two scum...
lynch one.. call me in the morning..
If they flip town.. well we'd do good by lynching one of you two just to get that out of the way, now wouldn't we?
:3 I did figure it out haha.

What material were you working with? Quotes would be nice, because, ya know, showing your work to others is part of the analyzing process.

I really thought town would bring it home when Shockwave was lynched.
I will seek solace in being the first nightkill as vanilla town.
