Yea, I just didn't really have the real life time for this game and the motivation just wasn't there because of UAL. I could have definitely won this one but I played poorly and let it slip away.

Sorry scumbuddies.
If you'd switched to wanting a Scarbo lynch Yesterday I think you would have won. I couldn't get anyone to listen to me about you early (which boggles my mind because I really thought that case was golden) but LWB's #51 really was tough to wade through.
I probably wouldn't have figured it out but one thing Scarbo said to end the Day Yesterday resonated as genuine with me and then when I re-read I realized that you didn't have a horse in the race between me and Scarbo... then reading Proph helped me get over the #51 thing.
This game was tough. UAL played so badly that trying to decipher his wagon was a nightmare.
But EtR was the hardest variable for me. I really don't get saying that you didn't read someone's case on another player but the way they're pushing it was off-putting. It felt like he just decided he didn't like how I was playing so he was going to ignore what I was saying, and then do things like vote Karn because he thought I was scummy. I kept trying to sanity check my read on him on Day 3 and he kept doing things that I had a hard time interpreting any way but scummy. If he checks back in I'd really like to know what was up with that.
Areas to improve for me:
Gotta get better at reading newer players as I often give them the benefit of the doubt more than I should.
Gotta condense my style when in games where people seem to be tuning out my content.
Positives:
Karn read early
Night 4 figuring out what was happening and Day 5 mending the fences with Scarbo and BE to pull it together.
In general, helping to salvage a pretty grim and confusing game state starting at the beginning of Day 4 and chaining together two correct lynches in mylo.
Karn - what made you decide to bus both your teammates so hard early on? The LWB situation makes sense but it felt unnecessary with Tom/Proph.
I'll post more on Monday when I have more time, but overall, I've got to say that DCIII stood out as town MVP. He had good early reads, good mid-game reasoning, and carried that reasoning through with conviction. On the scum side, I'd hand the MVP to Karn who did an excellent job all the way up to the end; who knows...had he a bit more time, he might have made it happen.
Lots and lots of apologies to all my mafialings who came expecting flavor...I had a very nice sci-fi setup going (verging on silly at times, but still...) and...I just couldn't find the time to commit. :/
Appreciate it, Cantrip - thanks for a good game. Do you have mafia and/or spec chats?
Glad we got past our Day 4, Scarbo, heh.
It was your comment about dodging me in the future that got me rethinking/rereading over the Night (but I didn't think anyone would believe me on that because I reacted so quickly to it). I remember reading smalltown swap and when Iso was freaking out on you, you eventually gave yourself up. Couldn't reconcile you making OOG threats if you were scum, didn't seem your style.
There's a very high chance that we're going to win this even if I die; Sir Karn has come under virtually no suspicion and I should be able to paint DCIII as my buddy before I go out.
Essentially, town lost after they lynched EtR.
I didn't put the work needed in Day 4 because I thought the game was (essentially) won at that point, even going as far as self-hammering. I never knew that the momentum would switch to Karn during Day 5.
DCIII's "scum apathy" thing in regards to me was spot on as well, though I didn't think I was going to switch the lynch to swishh.
Shock had some interesting insight on me in the scum chat that's probably valid. Always interesting to read the behind the scenes of a game after having played it.
1) Play with DCIII.
2) Hope he's town.
3) Wait for him to solve the game.
4) Update stats.
I stopped reading this game after I died (no spec chat ) but as you can see Proph gave me a heads up he was scum in the mentor chat. Never really got over all the fighting day 1. Town self hammers are the worst.

That's pretty accurate. There isn't many players I'd want to have on my team more than DCIII (Jesus Christ, look at his scumgame as well)
