I was very surprised to be killed ahead of Antny, especially after my end of day antics Yesterday. Antny being the Vig was the best thing to happen to the Town, I think.
Sorry for suspecting you at the end there, Rhand. I still thought that Nny was the most likely player to be scum remaining but something just clicked at the end and I thought that we were doomed if you and AE were scum together. That and you and AE weren't nearly as assertive Yesterday than you had been previously and some of your moves like voting Shock and saying it was to test opportunistic scum while still including him later in your PoE really didn't sit well with me. So I really wanted to make sure we had a contingency plan.
Then, once I put the plan forward, I liked what I saw from TMCT, AE didn't say a word, and your responses were increasing my concern so, at that point, I REALLY wanted to lynch AE because I thought it was either he and Nny or he and you - but knew that I couldn't get away from TMCT in the plan because of the pressure I'd put on him and the read that everyone else had on him.
Considering how both ME and BE were playing, I think it was pretty good that we got Void lynched Day 1. Was kicking myself that I didn't stick with my AE read going into Day 2.
Nny, that bus of Void was pretty convincing. Did you intend to just foist some suspicion on him and get off of it but then got caught up in the momentum from Rhand and then myself? That's very similar to what happened to fulcrum in WWII, if so.
When reading back, I saw that I had Nny pegged as scum very early and somehow forgot about that.
Had he claimed vanilla, we might have been in trouble.
Something I learned off site is that its a good rule for someone with a cop role to not last until endgame. The role and cop results claimed cannot be confirmed for town unless they are down. So Nny's cop claim set my actions in motion.
Glad he was last scum because I was getting some paranoia about how Day 5 could have gone.
Also for those wondering, my claim during Day 3 was true. 2-shot doc with self doc option no shots left. Guess the gambit reveal on the TMCT read influenced Nny's last kill.
Also, for the everyone wondering (which is probably no one) I was a one shot vig. Although that would have been pretty obvious given the fact Nny didn't die Night 2.

Well, I actually planned to push Void into the ground for the town credit. But obviously that didn't work too well.

I do want to apologize profusely to Antny for the absolutely unpleasant demeanour of Nny. I wanted to run a gimmick that was the opposite of BlueElectric - emotionless, cold, grating, and rude. Unfortunately, I didn't have fun playing the character, and it showed - especially with the fact that I got sick partway through the game and have lately been working over 50 hours a week. You also had a tendency to demand I repeat myself, and that's one thing I absolutely hate as town OR scum. Sorry you had to be on the receiving end of my ire.

Quote from AsianInvasion to Shockwave07: Night Two Result »
Despite your strong self-preservation instinct the Night before, you now feel compelled to guard The Most Curious Thing. He seems to be stumbling around aimlessly within the department store, so you begin to wander over to him, but a loud wailing noise suddenly cuts through the Night air. You find yourself pursuing the convertible with mindless desperation. By the time your bulletproof vest falls off, the car is long gone, and the early rays of Day have begun to peek over the skyline.
You have been roleblocked and fail to protect The Most Curious Thing. You have no protect shots remaining.

Excellent game. Most I've enjoyed playing in a long time. Well modded, and very well played. I feel like the mafia played solidly and lost to a combination of some very sharp play by the town, a couple reasonable decisions that just did not pan out well for them, and a couple key mistakes. Void played a decent day 1 and his implosion is somewhat understandable considering it looked so certain either M_E or B_E was the lynch, and a relatively small catch by Rhand got so much traction. AE did a great job a dodged my bullet; I might not have felt strongly enough to go after him if Void's lynch hadn't have highlighted some of his questionable posts. Iso had me completely fooled. I tip my hat to you.
I was very impressed by DCIII, Rhand, and Antny, and I thought TMCT and Shockwave were both ahead of the curve as far as not being manipulated by the mafia.
Funnily enough, the semi-lurkiness that led the mafia to believe I was a power role was simply me trying to not get lynched. I tend to overplay as town day 1 and have been mislynched several times because of it.

At the very top of the fire escape, Glenn took a few seconds to catch his breath. The fact that he couldn't hear any voices despite being only a few feet from where the others should have been gave him a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach. He grabbed onto the edge of the roof and poked his head up over it. The sight of at least a dozen walkers almost caused him to lose his grip. When his eyes fell upon the bloody, half-eaten corpses of his friends, the last living human in Atlanta struggled to hold back tears. Steeling himself, Glenn launched onto the rooftop and began to run for the stairwell, knowing that it was his last hope of escaping the city alive. The walkers were distracted by their gory meals, and he made it down the first flight of stairs before the low moans and shuffling footsteps below made it clear that continuing that way was impossible. Running out of options, he ducked into a custodial closet and tried to bolt the door, but a grasping hand caught his shirt and tore a gaping hole in it, the loose fabric preventing the door from closing. Glenn dropped his crowbar and quickly removed his shirt, knocking off his hat in the process. In that moment, walkers began pouring into the room. Glenn was knocked to the ground, and he could taste his mouth filling with blood. Adrenaline blocking out the pain, he picked up the crowbar and began swinging it wildly. When a walker rushed at him with mouth agape, Glenn used his ruined shirt as a shield against its rotten teeth. Despite felling walker after walker, he could not defeat the endless ranks of the dead. It wasn't long before Glenn was overcome.
Morgan turned on his walkie-talkie. He spoke into it loudly and clearly, waiting in vain for a reply. It was the right time of day and the right frequency. What had happened to Rick? What had happened to Atlanta? Duane was tired of waiting. They would journey to the city and find out for themselves.
Nny has been lynched.
He was Glenn (Mafia Two-Shot Roleblocker).
Congratulations to the town on their victory!
Town
Kraj - Walker (Town Two-shot Tracker)
You were an athlete in life, which makes you a surprisingly fast walker in undeath. You have the ability to chase your prey through the streets of Atlanta, at least until your feet start to fall apart.
Twice per game, during Night, you may track another target player. You will learn who that player targeted this Night, if anyone.
Shockwave07 - Walker (Town Two-shot Doc)
A former Army soldier, you turned while wearing your bulletproof vest. As a result, you can save yourself or others from up to two attacks before the vest is destroyed or falls off.
Twice per game, during Night, you may protect target player. That player can't be killed this Night. (A shot is spent even if no kill is prevented.)
Antny223 - Walker (Town One-shot Vig)
Despite losing your humanity with the fever, you manage to maintain a semblance of shrewd logic. Your carry around a jagged rock that could be used to pulverize a foe. Take care not to bash in the head of a fellow walker.
Once per game, during Night, you may kill another target player.
TMCT & Burning Earth - Walker (Town Vanilla)
BRAAAAAAAAINS
You have no special abilities.
Burning Earth, Rhand, & dkingsland967 - Walker (Town Vanilla)
You once had hopes. Dreams. But now you are a mindless walker. All that remains is the hunger.
You have no special abilities.
DCIII & mirrorentity - Walker (Town Vanilla)
You struggled and fought against the undead hordes, but eventually succumbed. You have joined them in their hunt for the living.
You have no special abilities.
Mafia
Archmage Eternal - Rick (Two-shot Mafia Rolecop)
You refuse to believe that your family is dead. You're not entirely sure if you can trust these people, but you're willing to take your chances if it means seeing Carl and Lori again. As a former Sheriff's Deputy, you can put your skills to use even in this waking nightmare.
Twice per game, during Night, you may rolecop another target player. You will learn what ability that player has, if any.
Nny - Glenn (Two-shot Mafia Roleblocker)
You're quick enough to evade the walkers but smart enough to know not to tempt fate. You were hesitant to agree to Rick's plan, though you see no other way to save the others. An abandoned convertible gives you an idea of how to create a distraction.
Twice per game, during Night, you may roleblock another target player. That player's action, if any, will fail this night and any shot spent will be lost.
Void - Andrea (Mafia Goon)
You've promised your sister Amy that you will stay strong for the both of you, and you have no intention of breaking that promise. Although you have no experience with a gun, you are fully prepared to use one against anyone or anything that threatens your safety.

Something about Archmage Eternal smells off to you. As the mob of walkers shuffle out of the department store back into the street, you decide to follow him. However, the piercing sound of a car alarm grabs your attention. A convertible zooms past you, and you begin to give chase, all thought of Archmage Eternal gone. Of course, the car is much too fast, and you have no hope of catching it before its headlights disappear into the Night.
You have been roleblocked and fail to track Archmage Eternal. You have one track shot remaining.
Shockwave07
You are unsure of who to trust, so you decide to play it safe by keeping to yourself. You bunker down behind an abandoned vehicle and wait out the Night. For hours, nothing more unusual crosses your path than a skinny cat, but it flees as soon as it notices your hungry eyes. Just as the first rays of the new Day break over the skyline, you hear a gunshot. One of your fellow walkers must have bitten a bullet.
You successfully protect yourself. You have one protect shot remaining.
Antny223
You don't like the look of mirrorentity, and plan to take his fate into your own hands. You follow him out of the department store and into a secluded alley. When the two of you are alone, you sneak up behind him and bring your rock down hard into the back of his head. Although you can't see him under the darkness of Night, when his skull caves like a rotten melon, you realize that your target was a fellow walker and not one of the living. Oops.
You successfully kill mirrorentity. You have no kill shots remaining.
mirrorentity
You smile, fresh blood dripping out of the hole in your mouth. You make your way out of the department store, mindlessly wandering into an alley, when you hear a scraping sound behind you. Before you can turn to confront your follower, a rock pierces your skull, which caves like a rotten melon. Your body collapses as it stops moving...for the second time.
You have been killed.
dkingsland967
Your rotten gut rumbles. The snack you just enjoyed sated your appetite briefly, but the hunger never truly leaves. As you begin scuttling out of the department store back into the moon-lit street, your nose perks up as you detect the scent of the living. You turn to confront your next meal, but a bullet in the brain puts an end to your hunger for good.
You have been killed.
Archmage Eternal & Nny
You curse yourselves for failing to protect Andrea. Her blood is on your hands. But you have to keep moving or you won't live long enough to mourn her death. You only hope that the others were able to lock themselves on an upper floor for long enough for you to make it back to them. It doesn't take long for the two of you to come up with a plan of attack.
Glenn breaks into an abandoned convertible, setting off its alarm. Walkers up and down the block start following him as he drives toward the department store. He pulls up to Kraj and yells at him, grabbing his attention. Smiling grimly, Glenn speeds off, Kraj and others in tow.
Rick creeps behind dkingsland967, gun in hand. dkingsland seems to perk up and sniff the air, as if he can smell the living man in his midst. Realizing that his scent disguise has worn off, Rick quickly closes the gap. Just as dkingsland967 turns to face Rick, he puts the gun to dkingsland967 and blows his brains out.
Nny successfully roleblocks Kraj. He has one roleblock shot left.
Archmage Eternal successfully kills dkingsland967.

After failing to follow Archmage Eternal last Night, you are even more eager to hunt him down now. You follow his scent into the department store, doggedly chasing him up the stairs. It isn't until you are face to face with him that you notice that he was the one who plunged the axe into Burning_Earth's head. A living, breathing person! You charge forward, ready to tear him apart, but Archmage Eternal is too quick. He whips out a pistol and blows your brains out.
You successfully track Archmage Eternal. He targeted you. You have no track shots remaining.
You have been killed.
Shockwave07
Despite your strong self-preservation instinct the Night before, you now feel compelled to guard The Most Curious Thing. He seems to be stumbling around aimlessly within the department store, so you begin to wander over to him, but a loud wailing noise suddenly cuts through the Night air. You find yourself pursuing the convertible with mindless desperation. By the time your bulletproof vest falls off, the car is long gone, and the early rays of Day have begun to peek over the skyline.
You have been roleblocked and fail to protect The Most Curious Thing. You have no protect shots remaining.
Archmage Eternal & Nny
Following your close call with Burning_Earth, the two of you rush into the department store, alerting two walkers to your presence. Thinking quickly, you scramble around a jewelry display and dodge them on your way up the stairs. Slamming the door shut on an upper level, you pause for a moment to regroup. Rick is itching to continue cutting down walkers, and barely waits for Glenn to speak before rushing back down the stairs.
Glenn takes the fire escape and heads to the edge of town to hop back into the convertible. Within a few minutes his joy ride takes him to within earshot of Shockwave07, who predictably gives chase with typical walker mindlessness. It's only when the car runs out of gas that Glenn stops laughing. He puts his sneakers to good use and finds a safe route back.
Rick, in his haste to gun down Kraj, almost collides with the walker in the stairwell. Kraj lunges forward with teeth bared, but Rick is too fast. Two short seconds later, Rick's pistol is smoking and Kraj's brains are splattered over the walls. The echoing reverberations of the shot disorient Rick, who nearly collapses from the resulting headache. He forces himself back up the stairs and leans against the door, waiting for Glenn's return.
Nny successfully roleblocks Shockwave07. He has no roleblock shots left.
Archmage Eternal successfully kills Kraj.

Right, I was going to give my thoughts on the game.
I think the setup was pretty well-balanced, although the scum become favored once the town uses up its PRs. One benefit of making the PRs limited-use is that it encourages analysis throughout. Another is that I don't have to write as many PMs.
A drawback is that a less experienced town may find itself struggling to find direction without PRs to guide them.
I think the town played very well with one or two exceptions. Antny223 correctly used his vig shot to eliminate lynchbait mirrorentity. The other PRs were less successful (to Kraj's credit he tracked his killer), but still managed to act fairly townish. Players like DCIII and Rhand were able to confirm themselves and lead the town toward effective PoE. It's too hard for me to decide between the two of you, so you get to share the MVP.
Town MVPs: DCIII and Rhand
The mafia struggled to gain traction in this game. Although they used Night actions well, their Day play was lackluster. Nny/Iso bussed Void nicely on D1 but the later mutual bus on Archmage Eternal was ill-advised. AE, to his credit, was playing pretty well until PoE and Nny got him lynched. While Nny lasted the longest of the scum, his questionable claim put him in the town's cross-hairs, so he gets the nod by default rather than due to particularly good play.
Also, TMCT I think that after you decided to get back invested in the game you played really well. It's hard to operate with that much suspicion but you did well to eventually wear down that read on you.
First win.

We had a decent Day 3, but that just totally sunk the mafia.
That and the Cop claim / DCIII kill (even a no-kill would've favored the mafia more than DCIII dying).

Maybe you should rethink the whole vanilla claim thing, especially when playing gimmicks
All the same, maybe it's something I should start doing soon.

Possibly that Mini he was recruiting help for...?
I want a /pre-in for this game.
Mafia MVP: Nny/Iso
Rhand
Also, TMCT I think that after you decided to get back invested in the game you played really well. It's hard to operate with that much suspicion but you did well to eventually wear down that read on you.
