The counterclaim was fine. When Sir Karn flipped scum, Cythare would look pretty town. Except that he had done that as scum in another game... The problem was that Cythare retracted.
Eh the counter claim shouldn't have happened. It felt off as it was off. It made both of them look more suspicious. If it hadn't have made them both look so suspicious there would have been a chance that people believed karn, which would have probably made me either straight up out myself or counter even harder so it was completely obvious.
I loved reading the scum chat. I think this is the first time scum have ever left someone alive in hopes of getting them to push a lynch on me. Usually I'm listed as someone to kill because it would be hard to lynch me, yes even when I'm waffling like crazy and completely wrong, I tend to be read as strongly town. Pretty sure duplicity was really hoping you guys would mislynch me though, because he's mean
I'm really surprised you left me alive swishh, considering I'd built such solid cases on Sir Karn and Cythare before anyone else did.
Were you hoping that I'd still be going after Tammy even though you knew she had to be the cop?
Leaving her alive helped convince me that you were the godfather.
My case against swishh was airtight. Why didn't you town guys see that?
I mean, you all thought I was town, you saw that I'd cased and went after Sir Karn and Cythare successfully, so why not swishh too?
(Also, it'll be a lot harder for me in the future to fake that I don't know what I'm doing in these games once people go back and read this one--that was my #1 tactic as scum in #70 :sneaky:)
I mean this about Kank: "Well over half his points in the cases he made against both me and swishh have been either false/madeup or things that aren't actually indicative of alignment/are confirmation bias. It worries me that this is somewhat a coincidence that he actually caught scum."
Much of what he got onto me for are things I do every game regardless of my alignment. There were only 2 or 3 points out of his ~12 that were actually scum things he caught me on. If I were town this game you would have ran me through the same just because that's how I play.
Seriously, so many of your points on your case against me were: terrible, completely unrelated to alignment, or entirely false/you misunderstood hugely (ex. Where I was explaining why the doublevoter was town and you were accusing me of saying the opposite where I clearly was not - that was ridiculous).
---
Overall, the town played fine and the scum played poorly (including myself). I think things would have gone a lot differently if Cythare didn't CC me.
I caught each of you on semantics and behavior Karn, not WIFOM. The same way I cleared TMCT by the way. You not actually understanding what I did and how means that I'll be able to use it against you again in the future.

I got caught because I played poorly and there were some legitimate points against me. But you hardly talked about those legitimate points and harped more on the vast majority of your points, which were just blatantly untrue.
That's probably why people didn't listen to your cases. A lot of it was filled with things that shouldn't be in the case at all. You should have cut the fat and presented the cases with just the legitimate points - then I'm sure people would be much happier to listen to you, because they wouldn't have to read through a wall of unrelated-to-alignment-crap in order to find the points that are relevant.
As I said in the Spectator Chat: "Kank's big post (1491) actually has tons of false information, as well as confirmation bias, but there are a number of legitimately damning things against swishh mixed in."
Followed by Voxx: "That's why PBPA's are generally bad - a good scum will tear apart the weak parts of the PBPA, which discredits you, and renders the better parts of your case invalid in the process.
If he condensed the case and only presented the damning things, it'd be much stronger."
It still annoyed the piss outta me. Void, y u run brah?
Annoyed? People replace out for many reasons. Don't get annoyed until you know the reason why.
I hadn't realized that IRL issues have been affecting for me for a while. I'm not in any games at the moment because of that reason. I replaced out of all three games I was in.

I was annoyed a little that you left, but mostly that you were modkilled. I was still holding out for a miraculious come back by you before deadline to find a replacement.
Good job town. Tammy, thanks for actually responding to my questions after the game. It was frustrating having you gut accuse me after you had cleared me due to evidence (read: see tons of townie points for me but suspect them) yet do the exact opposite with swishh (who I was convinced was scum), but not try to advance the game at all.
I do understand you were having issues with not trusting your cop results, but I don't see why one townie thing done by swishh (which I don't think was particularly townie - I mean, Sir Karn did something similar in this very game) outweigh all of the points against him.

I completely understand your frustration and I'm really sorry about that. I've been there before more than once where I've done everything right and been everyone's strong town read and then paranoia strikes for no damn reason.
It's irrational and it paranoia, and unfortunately it hits me just before endgame in nearly every game I play. I can have all of the evidence in the world for why someone is scum (for instance, I though I had a really solid case against swissh for why I investigated him in the first place) but at some point I get paranoid I'm wrong and the person I'm scum reading isn't scum and it's probably a town read. It's frustrating and it's not helpful and it just usually has to work itself out and ends up being okay. Sometimes I just need to get out my paranoid thoughts, people respond and I'm able to see where it's ridiculous.
No matter that I said my gut was screaming for your lynch, I never voted you and I really doubt I ever would have or would have even tried to lynch you. And I feel like I would have gotten over it when I reread through the game this weekend because that's usually how it goes for me. Be right then waffle in paranoid self-doubt and come up with crazy theories then reread the game and start to settle.
One of my friends is constantly telling me that i need to have more confidence in my reads, because I tend to have solid reads, I just drive myself crazy with waffling self-doubt. It's not helpful and it's frustrating but it is what it is. (I blame it on my early games, before I learned to townhunt/scumhunt properly, where I used to tunnel town with conviction and be wrong wrong wrong.)
Is anyone having a problem viewing page one of this thread? My antivirus won't let me see it now for some reason.
I'm not having a problem. Does it have to do with the fact this is a Porn thread?
I doubt it.
It's just today, and only page 1. I can view page 2+ no problem, but page 1 give me this:
MTGS is serving up malicious exploits right now. Users without antivirus or JS blocking are likely infected, and if not, they will be soon. Stay away from MTGS until they announce that they've patched the vulnerability that led to this. Infected users won't know that they're infected. They'll just have their personal information stolen and their computers will become zombines in yet another Blacole botnet.
At first I thought you were joking, but my antivirus won't let me visit page 1 of any thread it appears. (I rarely go to page one of anything--I usually stick to my CP)
lulz.

Also our conversation about my role made it seem liek he would list my name twice. Otherwise I would of kept it quiet.
