Im trying to wrap my head around why a wagon made up of only two scum would be a good move.

I'm not sure I agree with the bolded as typical when there's more than one scum. That might be ideal, but depending on the circumstances, it may be a better play to have one (or more) scum vote to start a ball rolling, portray naivete, implant a suggestion, etc.
As for a wagon made up of two scum...it wouldn't be a good move, but it didn't happen. I don't understand why MRH would have jumped on the Wheat train the way he did back on D2; that was counter-intuitive enough to make me think MRH wasn't scum.

If a single other town player joined said wagon, it would have resulted in a scum win. I wouldn't really call yesterday's vote patterns a 'wagon,' though - too few players alive.

I just want to thank everyone who participated in the game: players, replacments, mentors, and reviewers.
I felt that the ending dragged out a little longer than I would've liked it. This was my first game and I just wanted to make sure that everyone got the adequate time they needed. If there is any constructive criticism aimed at me, I would like to hear it so I can improve in the future!
MVP is a tie and I'm giving it to Taredas and Swishh. When Taredas replaced in, I was a bit worried that there was going to be no time between Swishh and Taredas to discuss any strategy. That worrying was unfounded because Taredas hit the ground running and started sparring with Swishh and developing their endgame strategy without even speaking a word to each other. I found that very interesting and I credit both of their flexibilities in this.
Looking back on the flavor, I guess it kinda reads like a "Kingdom Hearts I" mafia game. I don't know if that was subconscious or not, but most of the Villains in this game are characters I really love. I did promise a flavorful game and I think that wasn't merited. I tried to be creative in the lynch and morning scenes, but as you can tell I started running out of ideas and the scenes became shorter and shorter as the game moved on.
I have been expressed that the pre-prodding was helpful to some players. For me, it was not so much a nuisance as it was a way for people to take advantage of the system. Some players did not even respond to the thread unless I pre-prodded them. In the future, I would like to develop a finer line when running a game again.
Again, this was a very enjoyable experience on my end. I hope you had an enjoyable experience if you were just watching or playing! Again, constructive criticism would be appreciated.
I CAN'T SAY IT ENOUGH: THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED!
First mafia win on this site - doesn't feel as good as a town win really.
Scum wins are sweet, sweet vindication of your ability to deceive; if it doesn't feel good, you're not doing it right. No seriously, winning as scum is a distinctly different feeling for me than winning as town.
On the other hand, being wrong in just about every possible way sucks no matter what team you're on. This was quite possibly my most dismal performance evar. I choose to chalk it up to the leet skillz of Taredas and swishh.
@Wheat: I owe you an apology, so: sorry for the unwarranted attack; I really thought I had something there. It seemed like you jumped to a lot of conclusions with that analysis.
Oh, and something about crow...see attachment.
@Nyxu: I don't think I would have been able to muster sufficient argument to convince you that swishh was scum, so it was probably for the best that you ended it.
@Arnnaria: The game was fun, and the flavor was fine. If you take a look at the flavor scenes in my first hosted game (The Stand), I suffered from the same ailment. You did a great job. Thanks for bearing with me and my chronic lack of time.
Edit: I really liked the "revealed to be a hero" flavor. I had fun guessing who would be revealed if a player flipped scum. I called Taredas turning into Alice (but, derp, not that he was scum), but thought that swishh would reveal as Simba, not Nala.

I don't have any hard numbers on this, but I'm targeted more often than a black guy driving a beat-up sedan with a broken tail-light and no license plate, and Cy's well aware of that.
If the AC repair dude doesn't show up bright and early tomorrow, I'm gonna borrow some of DDS' dental tools to carve out his eye sockets like jack o lanterns.

I wanted to make all the reveals female, but for purposes of blocking intense flavor gaming, I wanted to make sure all of the reveals weren't precisely "princesses." Nala and Alice fit the bill as female heroines who weren't exactly princesses.
I really enjoyed this game, and your moderating is superb - the best I've ever seen in terms of timely prods and votecounts. How do you keep track of all that?
Also, is there anything I could have done better in this game? I was really wishy-washy on Day 3, but I think my first two Days were solid.

Also, is there anything I could have done better in this game? I was really wishy-washy on Day 3, but I think my first two Days were solid.
For prods I had a notepad document where I kept a running tally on the "last post" date and time. I would round to the next hour and update it just like I would update a votecount, placing the date and time next to every name. This made it easy to pre-prod players as I could see when their window was expiring or simply looking at the date column to see when 72 hours was going to hit. It was a bit daunting at first with twelve players, but it got more manageable as time went on. I also used a notepad document to track votes.
I really think you lost all confidence in yourself and your thought process after you misfired the vig shot.
Wrong for the wrong reasons. I misattributed tone and action
My logic collapsed completely under the pressure of being not only he deciding factor on a lynch but the whole game
Swishh read as detached and comfortable in the situation whereas cantrip was seeming more and more desperate to control the situation.
I also was just, flatly, no longer enjoying the game. I couldn't focus on it critically like I'd need to, and made a rather poor judgement.
I think you're being too hard on yourself. There was a lot of elements pointing to me being scum from bad choices I made. I'm sad that I didn't get the chance to make my case, but I don't blame you for not waiting for it.
Thing is, everything I had actually pointed at swishh.
His post mortem case (allegations of necrophilia aside) was he only thing in his favor at the start of the day and his answer about it should have torpedoed the case's benefit immediately.
I felt like I had a very weak day 1. Other than that, can anyone give me some criticism or helpful advice? This was my first full game, and I feel like I made some decent strides in learning the game.

I'd say he deserves it anyway. Some mods give out MVP's for each team...
MTG~DDS, you played very well. You were considered clear town by most in midgame and that earned you the hammer. Plus you nailed the scum team.
Likewise, you stayed off my radar most of the game. Not sure if the patterns that led to my final case on Swishh/MRH(Taredas) were legit, but it did get me to the right scumteam. I just wasn't confident enough in my game knowledge/skills to push it. Good game!

The game is not being dumbed down. Control is doing fine; Draw-Go is not the only kind of control. Aggro is doing fine; Red Deck Wins is not the only kind of aggro. Creature combat is an important core concept and belongs in every color. Mythic rarity is not destroying the game. People whine too much for no good reason. Magic is more popular than ever, so keep calm, brew some decks and play some damn cards.
Oh right, I can post again now. The squeeze play victimizes another hapless town! (Courtesy of one misguided town vote at 3p - which, of course, is exactly how it's supposed to play out.)
I'm amazed we won, though - DDS seeing through the bus was a blow (his reasoning was slightly off, but that's because I concluded that I had to bus D3 instead of wait for the normal 5p gambit), and the 2-2 vote split was a blow (mostly because Cantrip and Nyxu came out on the wrong sides). I probably should have kept quiet about "swishh-Tar is still possible" - I'm not sure if anyone would have realized it if I hadn't said anything. But it still worked out and I got a co-MVP in the process, so .
DDS is easily town MVP for endgame work, and I want to play with him again (preferably with both of us as Town). Pinky is an honorable mention for nailing my predecessor to the wall.
Also want to play in an Arn game again. (Well, unless I'm reviewing instead.) When your game handling, setup design, and flavor remind me of one of my favorite mods on MafiaScum, it's a good sign.
Fun fact - if Proph had chosen any gimmick name other than Incognito, I would likely have pushed for DDS to be killed over him N4. See, Incognito on MafiaScum has seen my scumgame (amusingly, in said MafiaScum mod's first modded game), and I wasn't convinced that he was telling the truth about not being the same player.

If a single other town player joined said wagon, it would have resulted in a scum win. I wouldn't really call yesterday's vote patterns a 'wagon,' though - too few players alive.
So what is your definition of a 'wagon'?
And the voting pattern yesterDay didn't fit this definition because...?
So because both wagons were of the same size and occurred around the same time, they're not wagons?
I'm trying to understand why you felt the need to identify that yesterDay didn't have wagons.
Yes, it helps distinguish between "yesterDay" (one game day ago) and "yesterday" (one real life day ago).
methinks this game has gone its course.
I was still rereading.

I am very sad. I thought this was going to be my first legit town win.
Thanks to Arnnaria for being a great host, and yes, the pre-prods were very appreciated.

I wanted to make all the reveals female, but for purposes of blocking intense flavor gaming, I wanted to make sure all of the reveals weren't precisely "princesses." Nala and Alice fit the bill as female heroines who weren't exactly princesses.
I wish id gone with my gut at the start of the day(double bus gambit is the play) instead of waiting it out
My logic collapsed completely under the pressure of being not only he deciding factor on a lynch but the whole game
Swishh read as detached and comfortable in the situation whereas cantrip was seeming more and more desperate to control the situation.
I also was just, flatly, no longer enjoying the game. I couldn't focus on it critically like I'd need to, and made a rather poor judgement.
I have bad early game
My endgame needs work
Relentless rat is relentless and works Midgame as long as I make sure I'm sound on logic
I think you're being too hard on yourself. There was a lot of elements pointing to me being scum from bad choices I made. I'm sad that I didn't get the chance to make my case, but I don't blame you for not waiting for it.
I thought swishh was obvious scum. To be fair I thought Cantrip was scum with swishh until the final day came around.
His post mortem case (allegations of necrophilia aside) was he only thing in his favor at the start of the day and his answer about it should have torpedoed the case's benefit immediately.
The simple solution was no gambit.
Occam's razor was vote cantrip

To be fair you always think I'm obvious scum.
MTG~DDS, you played very well. You were considered clear town by most in midgame and that earned you the hammer. Plus you nailed the scum team.
If the game had swung the other way, I would've given you Town MVP.
I'd say he deserves it anyway. Some mods give out MVP's for each team...
Up to the mod though!
Did you mis the part where I said swishh was obvious scum? Razor on my end pointed to swishh and not to Cantrip.
Likewise, you stayed off my radar most of the game. Not sure if the patterns that led to my final case on Swishh/MRH(Taredas) were legit, but it did get me to the right scumteam. I just wasn't confident enough in my game knowledge/skills to push it. Good game!

Okay. MTG~DDS gets Town MVP.
Btw, this was the selling point of swishh being scum, guarenteed. Swishh twisted this as hard as he did and only Cantrip really found it.
My two cents.
EDIT: Whoo! First mentorship and my guy gets the MVP! Awesome! Congrats MTG~DDS!

Mythic rarity is not destroying the game. People whine too much for no good reason. Magic is more popular than ever, so keep calm, brew some decks and play some damn cards.
It is too late for the pebbles to vote."
"Your RVS vote on me. I went through everyone involved with Innistrad Mafia. I'll give away the final clue later, but that was the majority of it."
What was the final clue?
Good job on both sides; it was a very close game. Congrats, especially to you, swishh!
