USA announced today that the series Psych will not be renewed after this current season. Anyone following the show had a good idea that this was coming, but its still a bummer for folks like me who enjoyed the show a lot.
Here's hoping something can fill the "quirky fake crime procedural drama" slot, but I doubt it. At least not for a while.
I for one will be sad. I absolutely love this show. This show has the same formula that Scrubs had. Have 1-2 Tier 1 Characters (Shawn and Gus), some good Tier 2 characters (Jules, Henry, Lassiter), and outrageous Tier 3 characters (Woody). Great show overall!!!
I'm sad, but at the same time Psych lasted so much longer than I ever thought it would. It was so geeky that I thought for sure it would be cancelled a long time ago, so the fact that I got 8 (Eight!) seasons of a show I loved makes me happy.
I want to like all those USA shows, but they all seem like the same guy wrote them with the same formula. The best one is Burn Notice and I got bored of that around the start of season 2. Couldn't make it to the end of Psych, every episode seemed the same and I just didn't care.
I just started watching the show, and am only a couple episodes into season 2. But it's a great fun show to watch. I[m not really having a reaction to it being cancelled, because I haven't been following the show. But I think eight seasons is a great success.
Is there going to be an ending ending to the show, or is it just gonna be a usual episode to end it?

Suits is fantastic.
Yeah, USA's shows have a formula they go for in a 2 main character, random workplace, ***** happens kind of way, but they tend to pan out differently
I really need to binge watch the show. You guys have convinced me
I never binge watch anything, but I'm on season 4 after a couple weeks. The one thing that has bothered me a little though, is that too many of the episodes really go for a creep factor. I guess it should be expected on a show about fake supernatural abilities, but it feels excessive, especially around season 3/4.
