It's a spy/crime show slightly similar to Burn Notice about a guy who creates a computer system that utilizes surveillance to identify people who's lives are in danger. He uses the system to attempt to save the people who are identified by the machine with the help of some former CIA, spies and some police officers who work with him.
It's currently in the third season and airs at 10 PM Tuesday nights on CBS (possibly available on CBS.com).
It is really good and is currently my Burn Notice replacement.
White Collar is crime drama with a fair bit of humor involved, especially when a character named Mozzie is involved.
it's sort an homage to an older series, It takes a thief.
Castle is another crime drama you could get into. It's about a crime novelist, Rick Castle, who pals around with Detective Kate Beckett to draw inspiration from for his novels. There's a fair bit of humor in it, as Castle spouts off unlikely motives for the crimes.

SELVAXRI! King of Misfortune & Master of Rocket Launchers "Do ya feel lucky? Because you'd better start runnin' while you still can." 375 Misfortune {+3 signed AP's} & 104 Rocket Launcher (41 AQ/ 63 Rev) Edgar Rice Burroughs, forgotten legend of the word.
I third Person of Interest, todays episode is just... Amazing. It starts off as a procedural with a sci fi macguffin, but evolves into probably the best sci fi show on broadcast tv since star trek was good.
Also, White collar is more "catch me if you can: the tv show" than anything. Neil is basically Frank Abignale, the real guy, except its modern and we he forges paintings instead of checks.
Arrow is also amazing. Its a bit CW to start, but once its hooked you its a crazy ride and the show is insane
Revolution is good... As long as you just skip season 1 and read some summafries and watch giancarlo esponsito scenes on youtube. Season 2 is pretty rad and getting radder
Crime Shows:
Spy Shows:
Chuck had a lot of humor, but your mileage may vary.
I absolutely loved this show. I miss it.

(about the English language) It's kinda like a raft that was cobbled together from parts of three different boats and since then has been kept barely afloat with crude repairs every time a leak appeared.

The franchise MtG most resembles is Battlestar Galactica. Why? Its players exist in, at most, a dozen different models at any given point in time, with perhaps up to 3% variation, 5% if you're lucky.
We did the same thing with Burn Notice and are currently on Season 6 of 7.
What shows should we go to next?
We like this kind of spy/crime with a good amount comedy mixed in like these ones had.
Thanks for any suggestions.

The shows can be from the past or current. As we'd love to start with season 1 of something and see how much we like it.

Castle and Bones have senses of humor like (or IMO better than) NCIS.
You can always watch JAG as well, which is older but it's the parent show of NCIS. In fact, NCIS had a backdoor pilot on JAG.

Chuck had a lot of humor, but your mileage may vary.
I second Person of Interest. It's extremely good but has a nice amount of humor mixed into an otherwise serious show.

Chuck is more comedy than crime/drama but it does fulfill your criteria
I enjoyed it, but it was uneven in quality. The adorkability of Chuck and his friends are what kept it going. Plus, Adam Baldwin.

Of the suggestions so far the ones that look most promising are White Collar, Castle, and Bones.
