Sadly that it's just a 25 episode series. Would've love to have a season 2.
They could definitely do a Season 2 if they wanted, They ended the show with Aila and Reiji in Arian, and they ended it by showing Sei entering the next year's Gunpla Battle World Tournament with Starbuild Strike Cosmos.
I feel like they could definitely continue the story.

[W]FREE STONEFORGE MYSTIC and JACE THE MINDSCULPTOR[/W]
The worst kind of wish fulfillment anime. No thanks.
Watching Sidonia, Ping pong, Vollyball, Babysteps, still considering captain earth, Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou, Isshuukan Friends, Akuma no Riddle, and possibly Mekakucity Actors
I've watched so far:
- Samurai 7 - Was decent. I watched it when it aired on Toonami, so my memory's a little foggy. I don't remember it being bad though.
- TTGL - Believe it or not, I didn't really care for it. My friends rave about it, but I just couldn't seem to get connected to anyone. That one big scene that's supposed to make you feel really sad didn't get me.
- Trigun - Absolutely fantastic anime. Love the sudden shift about half way through. Changes the entire story around. I've also seen Badlands Rumble and was happy to feel the same about it as I did about the original anime.
- FMA:B - I had caught the tail end of it when it initially aired on Toonami, so I had to hang tight through the reboot to get the rest. Was not disappointed. I loved the character development through the entire series, and I felt like they definitely wrapped everything up at the end. Also saw the movie(s?) associated with it. Sacred Star of Milos was good, but I felt like it got cut off at the beginning. Don't know for sure.
- Durarara!! - I watched an episode or two here and there when it was on Toonami wayy back. Having watched the full series, I liked the subtle plot twists here and there. They kept the story interesting.
- Eureka 7 - I've heard some people say it's not that great, but I thought the development was spot on. I got extremely into it, and may have shed a man tear or two at the very end.
- FLCL - That Vespa. All I can say. Also, I've never seen more people get hit with guitars than I did watching these 6 episodes. If you need a laugh, I highly recommend it.
- Samurai Champloo - Another one I kind of just went with the flow on. I don't remember all that much, but I don't recall hating it.
- Code Geass - I'm in the process of watching this at the moment. At the time of this writing, I just finished up the first season(?). I'm getting in deep with this show. I really like how the entire thing has kind of a chess vibe to it. Wonderfully done.
- Cowboy Bebop - Not much to say that hasn't been said already.
- Sword Art Online - I'm a huge video game nerd, so this one immediately piqued my interest. The usage of video game terms, and some observations they made were awesome to see.
Sorry if it all seemed a little bland, everything just kind of mashes together. Anime is fast becoming my favorite thing to watch, and I for one look forward to Saturday nights when Toonami comes on. The airing of Attack on Titan starting this Saturday is going to be amazing. One of my favorite shows I watched last year. Show's brutal.
Don't worry. By being infected by this love of animes, you are becoming an Otaku. The changes are painless and will bring you a whole world of awesomeness the North American shows or any other normal shows cannot bring to you. So many things can happen in animes.

Casual crazy magic player, otaku maniac, unrully cosplayer, what did you expect me to be?
Berserk is pretty great for the first 200ish chapters, then it gets pretty standard, at least until where I'm at (261 or 271 iirc).
I've also recently watched Steins;Gate and World Conquest Zvezda Plot season 1. Both were pretty great.

"If you're Havengul problems I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems and a Lich ain't one." - FSM
"In a world where money talks, silence is horrifying."
Sonme of the best animes with Harem type (will be rather short, cause I don't watch as many of those as some would imply):
To Love Ru +Darkness
DearS
Pokemon (a perpetual 12 years old that gets a new girl in his harem at around each seasons, don't you find it wierd?)
Hagure Yuusha no Aestetica
Seikirei
Date a Live
Utawarerumono (it was based on an adult game, still makes an excellent anime)
Guess that's around all I can put in that list. By the way, Pokemon is meant as a joke. Seriously, when will they make him age and pass the job to someone else! We need a new protagonist for the main story line!

Casual crazy magic player, otaku maniac, unrully cosplayer, what did you expect me to be?
So I finished watching Code Geass last night. I thought it was done well, and the whole "relating to a game of chess" theme that existed throughout the show really grabbed me. I usually give a show I've recently finished a night of sleep before I come to a conclusion. It allows me to think things through, and to make connections after the fact. As follows:
For instance, I was sad when Shirley died, but in the end it really turns out to be for the better. Imagine if she had been alive through the entire ending. She would have been around to see Lelouch's rise to power, the complete and utter control of the world, stuff like that. She would have seen Suzaku (sp?) go from being Lelouch's mortal enemy to his personal Knight. Never mind the fact that she has her memories back, so she knows that Lelouch is Zero, and therefore Lelouch killed her father. Finally, she would have seen him get stabbed by Zero (Suzaku), and watched her love interest throughout the entirety of the show die on live television.
And then there's the whole thing with Kallen. The whole show, they make it seem like there's this underground thing between her and Lelouch. I've read that it became a running gag, where they would always end up in a sexually awkward situation, almost kissing, actually kissing, etc. IIRC, at the end Kallen asks Lelouch if there was anything between them, or if he was merely using her like everyone else. Also, iirc, he pauses for a moment, and then says something like,"Yes, I was merely using you" or something like that. But that pause is what was important to me. Makes me think he was lying there as well, and that there was actually something between the two of them, and he doesn't want to admit it.
All told, I can definitely see why it's on top 10 lists all the time. It was certainly a good show in my eyes, and I would absolutely recommend it to other people to watch. Shout out to my buddy Chuck for telling me to stop watching whatever "garbage" show I was watching at the time and watch this.

If you like Code Geass, then I'd recommend the three anime that it's an amalgam of: Death Note, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, and Gundam Seed. (I'll be a little more generous than saying "the three anime that it ripped off," but arguably all three of those are better than Code Geass. Certainly the first two.)

I agree. At this point in the story Lelouch is telling people close to him what they need to believe to get on with their lives after he plays the role of a true villain. Karen is someone he is exceptionalyl close to and by lying to her, he lets her get on with her life in a way that she wouldn't be able to otherwise
@Others,
Log Horizon is fantastic. It takes SAO/hack/whatever style storytelling and deconstructs the hell out of it in an amusing way.
From the first episode its very different. This is neither VR tech gone wrong, a death game, or a show with a defined villain. Nobody knows why the hell they are in the game world, just that they are, and that they now inhabit their characters bodies. All in the first episode. Very different show that really explores the reality of living in a game world.
Only watching 11(14 with holdovers). Beside a couple sequels, I think i have most of th good stuff covered. Notable things I'm not watching are: Irregular at Magic High School, Break Blade, and Nanana's Buried Treasure.

What are the 16 things you are watching?
I'm watching both Irregular & Nanana, only watching 15 now I believe; and in addition am watching:
Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou
Captain Earth
Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu Ka
Hitsugi no Chaika
Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara
Mahou Shoujo Taisen
Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to
Mekakucity Actors

Isshuukan Friends.
Seikoku no Dragonar
Soul Eater Not!
Dropped:
Kamigami no Asobi
Atelier Escha & Logy
Black Bullet
Gokukoku no Brynhildr
Jojo
Keroro
Dragonar & Flag watching for how hilariously bad they are. Black Bullet and Jojo dropped in the interest of time. Favorite anime as of yet this season is definitely No Game No Life.
Edit: @Feathas: IMO it goes Crab>>>Vamp>Bee=Phoenix>Cat=Snail>Snake=Monkey, although unlike most fans I don't dislike any of the girls.

Honestly it was meant more of a joke than anything. I think harem certainly has its place.
I wasn't taking it very seriously, but I will argue the merits of Monogatari whenever given the option.
On another note. I'm watching 16 anime this season and thinking of picking up more. I might like anime too much.

Monogatari is the exception to every rule. (Harem can't make for good anime, toothbrushing can't be erotic, whatever)
