This has turned into something rather weird. Any thoughts on where the writiers might take this scenario?
It seems obvious to me that AJ is firmly in Punk's camp for the time being after RAW. No Way Out left it a tad open, but her coming out to distract Kane and screw Bryant makes it clear. If they run with it and maybe change punk from a rebel loner to an oldschool diva/superstar pair, it would be a nice change.
RAW this week wasn't the best, but there were some entertaining matches, was slightly disapointed with
the Ziggler match, it was textbook ziggler except he won this time.
the HHH thing is just to build drama so they have a big headliner for their 2nd largest PPV.
It did feel a tad bit like they are in a holding pattern until the 1000th episode. They have already made it clear that Punk won't be losing his title, he's apparently headlining the 1000th Raw, I don;'t see a Shamus title change, Santino hasn't had an actual match since winning the US title, and Christian is unlikey to have a defense at Money.
I'm just hoping that episode 1001 and on will continue the recent tradition of some actually good matches on RAW.
I've found myself coming around to Ziggler in the past month or so. He has a lot of potentional in him to becomes a huge superstar. Let's just hope the WWE lets him becomes that superstar.
One last thing I noticed at NWO was how much Bryan and Punk look a like and how similar their persona's can be. Once this story line ends, or maybe some where in the middle, I could these two forming a Tag Team and becoming champions together. Might be a long shot, but they would make a great team.

No, because that would mean that they go down to midcard. Sad, but true fact and punk has spent so much time getting to where he is....

I've seen the writers do some amazing things in the past when it involves the WWE Champion. Especially a spontanous superstar like Punk. I believe they could fit in a story line where Punk/Bryan become Tag Champs while still fighting over WWE Championship.
John Cena in the money in the bank ladder match? Are you ****ing kidding me? If John Cena wanted a title shot all he has to do is snap his fingers, the briefcase does nothing for him unless they want to turn him into a chicken **** heel. "Nobody can stop the Big Show" except for all those dozens of times when he has lost in recent memory, give me a break. And the only other participants will be former WWE champions? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the match in the first place? I thought it was supposed to be a tool to elevate mid carders and to get as many of those guys on the show as possible but now the match is going to be full of guys who either don't need the belt or don't need the briefcase. I can only hope the WHC ladder match does what it's supposed to.
The triple threat elimination match at the beginning was good, another solid match put on by those three and the set up for what is hopefully the actual main event of the evening July 15 and not the WWE title money in the bank match just because John Cena is in it.
Diva's battle royal was less entertaining than I had hoped, I guess I've just been spoiled by TNA (never thought I would say that, haha).
Ziggler vs Del Rio for the contract was entertaining but then Sheamus had to come out and ruin it just as it was getting good.
The "historic announcement" promo by Cena was god awful.and I am so glad that Jericho made his return by telling Cena to shut the hell up. Chris Jericho vs John Cena had the potential to be a decent match except the Big Show interfered for pretty much no reason, completely invalidating his promo on smackdown about being "over John Cena." But I guess they've been pretty lax with the logic in the Big Show storylines lately so bravo for consistency.
Over all this raw was pretty Meh. Not even that excited for Smackdown.
I don't care about spoilers because as far as I'm concerned I'm doing a favor to those who haven't seen it by warning them.
That was possibly the worst raw I have ever watched. 4 squash matches and the only real match was ended by the ref for pretty much no reason. The Anonymous GM angle was a joke, no one gives a shave and a haircut about king v Michael Cole. Also if king is supposed to be a face announcer then why was he such an ******* to Cole who spilled water on him by accident and apologized profusely. Way to hold a grudge, that's a real good thing to do. Boring Cena promo about how the Big Show has to be stopped. Yeah, John? Didn't you do that already at last month's ppv? Still disgusted at the WWE title MITB match, now they're just going to cram more wrestlers into the WHC one and make that a clusterfriend. The only thing I was looking forward to was punk v bryan and that was a letdown too.
Didn't watch the pre-show, why are teams that aren't the Prime Time Players getting tag title shots?
Dolph Ziggler wins WHC MITB contract
This is what a MITB match is supposed to be, a bunch of mid-card guys and a couple veterans putting on a great match with a lot of good spots. The MITB match is designed to elevate mid-card guys to either by allowing them to steal the show or win the briefcase. The first time I ever laughed at Santino was in this match with the cobra ladder climb bit. Other memorable spots include Tyson Kidd (the whole thing), Tensai murdering Sin Cara and then tossing Ziggler like a rag doll and Damien Sandow getting speared into a ladder. Ziggler winning was kind of a surprise as my money was on Cody Rhodes but Ziggler deserves it. I almost wanted Tensai to win so he could beat the **** out of Sheamus some more. Match of the night IMO.
Sheamus d. Alberto Del Rio
ADR dominates this whole match then Sheamus comes back to win it with his signature move/finisher combo, where have I seen this act before? Oh yeah, in every John Cena match. Bo-ring. I was pretty pissed when I heard Ziggler's music hit because I believed they would take away the briefcase from him just to troll us, this was the only time I was ever glad to see the Brogue kick.
Primo and Epico d. Prime Time Players
First, someone needs to take the mic away from AW, especially during the matches, that **** is annoying. Second, what the hell is going on here? Shouldn't the PTP be getting their title shot now, not beating a team they already beat? This match was whatever, Primo and Epico did a lot more high flying move than I have seen them do before so that was kind of cool. PTP lost, why are you burying the #1 contenders? I guess if you want to build the tag division everyone has to win but idk if this was the right way to do it.
CM Punk d. Daniel Bryab
You have to be kidding me, why is this not the main event? Shouldn't the WWE title mean more than the John Cena show? The first thing I thought about this match was why did Daniel Bryan dress like a homeless man? I don't really like his new ring gear, partly becayse it doesn't say YES in flaming letters on it but mostly because it looks ****ty. AJ is the special guest referee and idk how to feel about that, she hasn't really been doing too well in this angle lately and frankly I am getting kind of sick of it. Especially since CM Punk has been reduced to a crying *****. The match gets under way and from what I remember this wasn't really all that great, it was more about the use of weapons than it was about wrestling moves. Daniel Bryan threw a lot of kicks and CM Punk didn't mount much of an offense for most of the match before putting Bryan through a table from the top turnbuckle with a belly to back suplex then pinning him to retain. AJ doesn't look pleased, she looks confused, which can only mean there will be more of this bull**** tonight on Raw.
Ryback d. Reks and Hawkins
This is the first actual match I would say Ryback has had and he gets his ass kicked for a good two minutes before regaining his composure and ruining these two dudes. Hopefully they can do something with him soon.
Layla, Kaitlyn and Tamina d. Beth Phoenix, Natalya and Eve
Another thrown together Diva's tag match, naturally the heels lose. At least we got to see Kaitlyn finally, she is super hot.
John Cena wins the WWE MITB contract
First of all, this whole match was bull****. This MITB match violates everything that MITB stands for and I am surprised Chris Jericho wanted anything to do with it. The 5 participants in this match have already been WWE champion and 4 of them don't need the briefcase to get a title shot ESPECIALLY JOHN ****ING CENA. The only way that this match would make sense would be to have the returning Miz win the briefcase because he's been gone for a while and he is pretty much a mid-carder at this point. That's not to say there weren't a couple of good spots in the match, the Big Show getting his **** wrecked by all 4 finishers and then being buried under a pile of ladders was really cool. Then there was the spot where the big show brought out the huge ladder and he and Kane climbed it at the same time and choked each other out, that was pretty good too. It wasn't the travesty I thought it would be but the finish just ruins it for me. **** you, John Cena.
Closing thoughts: Well this was a PPV that I didn't really care to much about, the MITB matches were ok but everything else was just so blah. I hope the build for Summer Slam starting tonight gets me interested again, if they **** up the 1000th Raw I think I'm just going to stop watching. I hate to say this but I found myself wishing Cena would get hurt during his match so someone else can have the spotlight. So WWE can cut the cord and let someone else main event, I;m just so god damn tire of the John Cena show and how WWE doesn't think anything else matters or is worth their time, it's insulting to the fans and it's disrespectful to every one of the other performers.
AJ and Bryan are now "engaged" and to be wed on the 1000th episode of Raw. This whole story line is going way to far now. The MitB match was also a joke as demantia pointed out. At least AJ called the match fairly when it came to counting the a downed player.
A poll was done on WWE.com too see which title will be defended on the 1000th episode of RaW. Christian will be defending his Intercontential Championship against a wrestler to be named.
Punk v. Shows was exactly what Show said it would be. End of match Show attempted to WMD Punk, but Cena gets involved by using his MitB case to take out Show. Cena then tells the WWE World and Punk that he will be cashing in his MitB breifcase on the 1000th episode of Raw against Punk. Typical Cena not using the MitB contract in the other way wrestlers have used, but who cares at this point.
Only other things to note is for the upcoming 1000th episode of Raw.
1) Each show will now be 3 hours long/
2) Expect a lot of old timers on the show which will basically be fillers since the WWE story line is currently shot IMO.
3) Punk v. Cena will probably not happen. THe reason being that Show will disrupt one prior to the match making an unfair advantage for the other. If Cena get attacked, then the match happens. If Punk gets attacked, then the match will be off.
4) Lesner answers HHH about the match at Summerslam. Lesnar will agree, obviouslym and then we get another story line that will not make much sense.
Haven't been into wrestling for some time. Was into it in the late 80s faded got back into it bigtime late 90s early 2000, especially when ECW was making a name. Followed them crazy like.
So Brock Lessner is back in the WWE? Hows Cena been of late?
John Cena has been the same old boring superman never-loses boyscout character he has been for the last 5 years and he just won money in the bank, so now he gets to be WWE champion again for no reason.
I'm fortunate enough to have a ticket to this 1000th Raw, and i can tell you, knowing since the Rumble that the 1000th RAW was to be in STL and that i had a ticket has just been agony. Its finally here, i cannot possibly wait any longer for fear i'd just snap from all the waiting.
1000th RAW starts off with DX reunion, the perfect way to kick off a show that is about the past more than the present. Everyone alive is slated to be there to tell everyone to "suck it" and it'll be nice to see michaels back in the DX gear. I do hope that a match happens with HHH and Michaels in the DX gear.
New GM is announced. My friends and i have come up with some of the most out of this world situations since this was announced. Top of the list? Whoever in the arena (fans included) gets Stone Cold Stunner'd last is the GM. I'd probably pay 1000 bucks to watch Stone cold just circle the crowd, stunning everyone.
Top of the realistic expectations is Edge returning as the GM. It has to be someone big, new and important, Edge seems to fit that mold perfectly.
Lesnar v HHH. I'll be getting some nachos at this time.
Danial Bryant Wedding : I love AJ more than is rational, but this wedding seems like the perfect opportunity to bring back Stephanie to crash it, or Undertaker, or someone to crash this wedding. If this goes off without being crashed, it will be the biggest surprise RAW has ever seen ever.
The Rock. Possibly returning on a semi-weekly basis. If you watch for one reason, watch for this. I'm surprised they didn't make this a 4 hour Raw, because the rock is going to steal about an hour of it now.
Christian defends IC title : I was so elated when the vote for this showed that santino was the least wanted star to have a match. What a worthless waste of a belt. I'm hoping that the defense is against a legend returning, because it is hard to see a current star entering this chase. (mainly because since him and santino got the title, there has been zero activity with them)
Cena v Punk. Both have gotten a tad stale in the last year, Cena without the title just isn't compelling and the constant drivel of bad (main event) ppv matches makes this a welcome return to the title scene. Punk has been somewhat entertaining as a champ, but the key aspect here might be the Rock or another old RAW legend. I'd love to assume this is just going to be a 30 minute PPV epic of a match, but that's hard to assume knowing that RAW is celebrating its unpredictable nature 999 times before.
Prediction : For weeks they have been touting the infallablility of the briefcase. Someone is going to lose when cashing it in. The road they have paved with tearing down Cena makes me believe he'll lose over Ziggler. There are so many ways they can start moving towards a next generation of RAW in this match, by having Punk retain. Also, knowing the STL crowd and how all the titles are held by "good guys", punk retaining would stop the boos from Cena winning from souring the end of the night.
Other notables. Bret Hart can be seen in some of the promotions, he is likely to be involved somehow. Stone Cold not being there would be a failure of epic magnitude. I'd love to see some of the WCW , NWA , AWA and ECW legends come celebrate with them as well. Hogan, Flair, Sting, DDP, Nash, and many others have been minor parts of RAW's actual program, but played such a huge role in elevating the program further through competition. I hope both that WWE extended the invite to them and that they accepted because this is way more than a celebration of WWE, its a celebration of the entertainment of wrestling as a whole.
John Cena has been the same old boring superman never-loses boyscout character he has been for the last 5 years and he just won money in the bank, so now he gets to be WWE champion again for no reason.
KAL-EL! POWERING UP! Seriously, I wanted to like Cena, I tried to like Cena, but he needs to do a gritty Heel turn, I am talking Chair shots, (kayfabe) Career enders, I would be ALL over that!
Hopefully Randy Orton will be back from his suspension soon, I do NOT care that Rey is back in any capacity.
Infact. CM Punk and Daniel Bryan are the ONLY thing thats entertaining on WWE Anything, these days.
I miss the attitude era. I recreate it every year when I mark out and buy the new WWE game for xbox 360.

people have been saying that Cena needs to turn heel for a while now but I don't think it's gonna happen anytime toon
I don't get excited for Orton anymore as he bores me just as much as Cena now.
I honestly stopped buying the games a few years ago and I barely even follow the tv product anymore
yeah, had X-Pac, Shawn Michaels, triple H and the New Age Outlaws
Was surprised to see them let X-PAC back out there. And then his backstage bit, too. HHH had to have had a lot to do with that. But where was chyna:rolleyes:.
Also, the punk heel turn, if that's what it was, was awful. Seriously, turn Cena already. Poor punk had the "pipe bomb" summer last year and has been relegated to near Midcard as the damn champion! The crazy AJ and Kane/wedding storyline? Wtf. He's got to be supremely frustrated with how he's been handled since last summer. I really hope it's punk/rock in January and not Rock doing a job to Cena. I'll have absolutely no reason to watch if that's the case.
HHH has to lose to Brock, or Brock will lose nearly all relevance. I don't care if it's due to interference, brass knuckles, w/e. HHH has to lose
Funny note: my wife saw the Kane/Undertaker reunion and said "How old is he? He looks like a grandpa with sore joints."
Because conservative bias is a far, far worse thing. Liberal bias doesn't, statistically speaking, make people stupid. Conservative bias (or at least Fox's version of it) does.
They will save punk's trash talking the rock til later when the rivalry really takes off. What they did very well was to show that punk was conflicted with his actions. Now, if they take the boos from the STL crowd and turn him "heel", i'll be a tad disapointed but punk is almost better as a heel figure than a face of the company.
Face it, unless children start hating Cena, he'll never turn heel. The ONLY way Cena ever turns heel is if another star comes up and can sell the product to the 10 and under crowd.
Also, what the hell was up with the last hour? Being in the crowd, it felt like they had some tech diffulcuties or something because before the Taker/Kane part, they spent about 20 minutes just filling time.
As for my review : Perfect if Stone Cold was there, only amazing since he wasn't.
540 Peasant cube- Gold EditionSomething SpicyMy gess WWE's try at doing the Joker and Harley Quinn. Which may work, but it's to early right now to know.

Im seriously just struck with...... the bloody hell did I just witness?

Was surprised to see them let X-PAC back out there. And then his backstage bit, too. HHH had to have had a lot to do with that. But where was chyna:rolleyes:.
