I've been looking at the WWE website and cannot find confirmation on this. Google/Yahoo/Any Search Engine does not find the result either... Guess we will have to wait for tomorrow to know for sure.
So Rock won..... im not suprised. It was a decent match, and the hype was a little too much for me.
My major complaint for this year was the lack of the special entrances. For example last year, HHH had an amazing entrance. this year, it looked like they kinda skimped on it. Its a small touch like that, that really makes 'mania... well, 'mainia
Overall, this was a solid year, but nothing really caught my eye. Sheamus won in record time, so that match was a bust. Team Johnny won, so I may skip WWE until he's kicked out (I hate the persona.... Teddy has a much better one in my honest opinion). The Brodeus Clay thing seem unneeded. I'll give this year a C. As I said, not good. Not bad
On the positive side, we saw Edge.... Hate him or like him, he lived out his dream and went out on top (Wrestled to a win in your last match, with a title at Wrestlemania)
My prediction for next years wrestlemania: Doink the Clown vs. The Shockmaster in an inferno match.
Just a reminder that spoiler tags are useful when talking about the results of Mania 28 as some posters may not have seen the event yet. (Referring to myself)

Im sorry. I consider that once its been aired and is on wwe.com, it is allowed to be out of spoilers.... but I will revise that to after the second airing of it. (5am my time is when that ends. its 130 right now.)

While that does hold credence others may be stuck at work and waiting to watch Mania prior to viewing wwe.com or any other site that would hold the match results.
Thank you for spoiling your post though. I appreicate it.

No issues there.
If have yet to see it, All I'll say is that the undertaker/Trips match is a little bit better for a 3rd time than you'd of expected. And when you realized that there in there 40's ('taker is 47 lest I recall), I'd argue that there the top 2 guys in WWE right now.
Well here are my thoughts on Wrestlemania 28: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD
Sheamus d. Daniel Bryan
The opening match was an absolute joke and it really makes me hate Sheamus, the WWE has been pushing him so hard and protecting him so much that it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth and makes me think of him as boring. Sheamus is a big guy that the kids love and he sells merchandise, that's it. Conversely, we have Daniel Bryan who is a great heel and hilarious not to mention one of the top workers in WWE. I didn't like him at first but his routine grew on me and I think he deserves the title more than Sheamus. Nonetheless I would really have liked an actual match and not just an 18 second squash where Sheamus does his generic finishing move and pins him, Daniel Bryan deserves better. Although during the next 3 matches chants of "Daniel Bryan" can be heard throughout the stadium.
Kane d. Randy Orton
I really did not expect the match to go this way. I was pretty pleased with the build up to this match as there wasn't a lot of mic work which is neither wrestler's strong point, just them beating the crap out of each other on a regular basis. The went on for about 10 or 15 minutes and was a run of the mill Orton match, lots of brawling, but no RKO's. Kane chokeslammed Randy Orton twice, once from the top rope, and pinned him. With Kane being kind of old and Randy Orton being the "New Era" of superstars I figured they would give Randy the win and put over all the new stars at Wrestlemania to give them all some validation but as I was soon to find out, WWE doesn't know how to book a feud that makes sense.
Big Show d Cody Rhodes
This match was ok, it went about 10 minutes mostly of Big Show annihilating Rhodes until Rhodes finally built up some steam only to be stonewalled by the WMD and pinned. I was certain that there was no way the Big Show was walking out of Miami the Intercontinental Champion. What does he have to gain from it? Absolutely nothing, and not to mention it kills all the momentum that Cody Rhodes had built for himself prior to Wrestlemania. I can understand if you want to get the belt off of Rhodes so you can move him up the card but at least give it to someone who needs it, not someone like Big Show who is already so over it's not funny.
Undertaker d. Triple H
This match has been the favorite match of everyone I have talked to about Wrestlemania so far, but not mine. I admit there were a few times when I thought Triple H had him but in the end Undertaker won like he always does. The main thing to take away from this "match" is the 30-odd chair shots each wrestler took. I put the word match in quotations because there was hardly any wrestling, it was just a bunch of chair shots, one or two big spotes (loved the hell's gate powerbomb that Triple H did) and then a few finishing moves between long intervals of inactivity where Shawn Michaels had to be conflicted whether or not to stop the match. Don't get me wrong it was a great match but I think last year's Undertaker v Triple H was better.
Diva's Match
This is really an afterthought for WWE, I had originally picked Eve and Beth to win as on any other night they would have won against anyone else but with someone coming in from outside the WWE to wrestle it became obvious to me that they were ultimately be victorious. Fortunately for me it only took 3 minutes to find out I was right and then it was over.
Team Johnny d. Team Teddy
This was a pretty good match with a couple of big spots. First of all I would like to say that the Bella twins are ridiculously hot but Brie Bella gets the nod at Wrestlemania for looking hotter in the red outfit and for being a better announcer. The finish was kind of unexpected but the result I had figured was going to happen. Eve Torres finally making it evident to Zack Ryder that she is a huge ***** just like everyone else already knew is great because gullible, friend-zoned Zack Ryder is not going to get over. The Teddy Long character had run its course and it was time for something new. I hated John Laurenitus at first when he replaced Triple H but he grew on me as the heel authority figure with his "John Laurenitus, Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Interim General Manager of Monday Night Raw" schtick.
CM Punk d Chris Jericho
This was a match that I thought could go either way, with Jericho getting inside Punk's head and Extreme Rules being in Chicago it was a great time for the title to change hands and have Punk win it back at the next PPV. Punk and Jericho put on a clinic at Wrestlemania and they get my vote for best match, Every big spot was met with abated breath as the ref counted 2 and then a kick out or when Punk was locked in the Walls of Jericho. I really liked the finish of the match with the Anaconda Vice, making Jericho submit, that's how I would have booked it.
The Rock d John Cena
This was another match that I thought could go either way. It was hard for me to gauge John Cena's ability since it had been so long since I had seen him actually wrestle a match. That whole god awful "embrace the hate" thing with Kane for the first two months of the year was just brawling so I think the last real match he was in was with Zack Ryder before TLC. I could have done without the whole "musical performance" before each entrance. On a side note, I don't think Machine Gun Kelly knows who John Cena is because he equated him to an underdog. John Cena is anything but an underdog, let's make that clear, he has been the top guy in the WWE for the past 6 years so I think that disqualifies him from that description. That being said, I loved the reaction Cena got when his entrance hit, it seemed like the Miami crowd hated him, but not as much as Chicago. This was a pretty good match despite the "peaks and valleys" nature of it (big spot, 2 minute down time, big spot, 2 minute down time, etc). Every near fall was as intense as the last and all the big finishing moves made their appearances. I was waiting for one of them to try and steal a finishing move from the other and that's what finally did Cena in, after a mocking attempt at the People's Elbow the Rock jumped up and gave Cena the Rock Bottom for the win. I was very surprised at the result of this match, sure the way they built it up made it seem like either guy could win but when I thought about it, what does the Rock have to gain from winning? If they want to do Rock/Cena 2 then Cena has to look awfully weak by begging the Rock for a rematch. Personally I would have had Cena win here and then had Rock win at SummerSlam in the rematch.
So there it is, Wrestlemania 28. about half of the finishes didn't make any sense to me, why is the WWE burying the new talent with old talent (with the exception of CM Punk). It makes me want to watch Raw tonight even more so they have a chance to explain themselves.
Well, HBK didn't hit trips with Sweet Chin Music, but most of the rest went down as I expected. That match went for 30-35 min I heard. Also, for those that watched it or the replays of it, did the cell even have a point? I heard they practically paid no attention to it. No going up top or anything.
And, I should note, that while Brock is back, his contract has him slated for approx 30-36 appearances. Or, about twice a month. With those extra dates after 24, its likely that he'll be getting a hard push during next years road to WM build. I'm almost willing to bet, like others, that him and Rock will be headlining WM29 with a title on the line.
I really don't like the Rock/WWE title angle. The Rock is already so over it's not even funny and to take something like that away from someone who deserves it like CM Punk is kind of stupid. I loved the crowd chanting "Daniel Bryan" and "YES!" last night, it makes me think that everyone else is as disgusted with that WHC match at wrestlemania as I am. God damn do I hate Sheamus.
I hope Cena brings up Overeem and the UFC next time he talks.
granted as long as he's healthly Cena kicks him in the liver in a match, be a good heel turn for Cena.
HHH v. Taker pisses me off too. Anyone else could have been awesome vs. Taker. Why didn't they have it be Rock v. Taker? Both don't have to have a story to have a great match. It also would have left the mainstage event open to a more story driven match. (Such as Evil Cena v. Punk...)
No lol Goldberg vs Taker, only man could possibly end his streak, he is undefeated in any 1v1 match, and Batista already beats HHH in hell in a cell and multiple of times......
Yeah I think I haven't watched any wwe after WM23 and this is the only time I watched wwe after 5 years just because of the last main event Rock vs Cena.
Mania 28 was definetly better then I anticapated. HHH/Taker was awesome despite the cell not being used all that much. It truly was the "End of an Era". Taker will retire in the few months and HHH will resume COO.
**** Team Johnny and The Miz. More so Eve for invovlement.
18 second for Shaemus to beat Bryan. Loved it!
The CM Punk v. Jerhico match was IMO the best match of them all. I thought at so many moments that Jericho had it won.
I missed Raw because I was watching Mania 28 at the time. Aweomse to have him back
As for The Rock/Titles. The "Champion of Champions" title is what The Rock/Brock Lesner would compete for if anything at Mania 29, but that's if Lesner stays with the WWE. His UFC life might make a call back for him at any moment. I believe that is the reason for the conditional contract.

Brock is contracted with the WWE for a full year. he has to make atleast 2 appearances per month. he can make more. he'll appear more often then the rock

I finally got to watch RAW from this last Monday. Not sure why Lesner targetted Cena, but the only logical reason is so that Cena has a story line again.
Question that I hope some will respond to for a general consenuses: Lesner, Good Guy or Bad Guy?
Well since Lesnar attacked Cena unprovoked he is obviously going to be a heel. Not only that but when he was in UFC he was a complete ******* so all the fans who followed him there would be hard pressed to believe he was a nice guy.
The only problem with all the Cena opponents is cena's own "heel" status with half the crowd. You'll always have half the arena rooting against him. Like the crowd chanting "one more time" after Brock's f5 and Brock wagging his finger with a smile, like, "You're not supposed to be cheering for me." I just want Cena to go full on heel, like the Rock with the corporation. Not the chain wearing rapper heel, though. Anything but that.
You could have the Iron Shiek come out, bash America for 30 mins. straight, and half the arena would still cheer for him vs. John Cena. So as bad a heel as Brock portrays, he'll still be a face vs. Cena. He could punch every diva in the face, f5 JR, high five Michael Cole, and they'll still cheer him vs. Cena.
Because conservative bias is a far, far worse thing. Liberal bias doesn't, statistically speaking, make people stupid. Conservative bias (or at least Fox's version of it) does.

This I believe isn't so much because he is a "heel" as it is because the people that hate him, genuinely hate him. Heel implies that the persons persona is the "bad guy". Cena isn't even trying to be the bad guy. He is still trying to be the WWE poster boy nuthugger face. But half his fans grew past puberty, and the other half already hated his guts.
What happened to Cena at the Hammerstein Ballroom a few years ago was just the tip of an anti-cena, anti-wwe-shoving-this-prick-down-our-throats iceberg waiting to sink that bloated ship.
Cena & Cena's Perfect Image was shoved down our throats for what, the last 7-8 years?
I mean, literally, you could have shot Cena in the face with a shotgun and he would have won every goddamn match still.
Umaga breaks the ring with Cena's face and hits him like 1000 times with a chair. Cena pulls an STFU.

He got better entrances than ANYONE ever no matter what the event or who he was facing.
The WWE marketing machine forced us to see Cena headlining every damn event ever.
The sentiment that Vince was sucking Cena backstage was reinforced everytime he was put over by someone who worked harder and wrestled better than Cena.
"YOU CANT WRESTLE!" chants were dead on.

Dissagree, WWE is well known for taking good wrestlers and holding them back to the point where the crowd thinks they suck. When the actually allow Cena to wrestle and do what he wants in the ring it can turn out to be a great match. At wrestlemania this year even though there was no topping the hell in a cell match the rock and John Cena still had a great match because for once Vince didn't have a strange hold on him saying do this and this and this. Another good example of this is Lord Tensai (A-train, Prince Albert) he went over to Japan and he was HUGE over there so big I'm surprised he came back to WWE must have given him alot of money. and look at the two matches he has been in he barely even moves in the ring because once again Vince doesn't want him to. There is no way that somebody who was the top guy in Japan wrestles like he does. If Vince would let wrestlers actually do something instead of just go out and give the crowd the bare minimum then people wouldn't think that wrestlers can't wrestle. Hop on youtube and look at John Cena back when he was in FCW (Florida Championship Wrestling) and then tell me John Cena can't wrestle.
I've been looking at the WWE website and cannot find confirmation on this. Google/Yahoo/Any Search Engine does not find the result either... Guess we will have to wait for tomorrow to know for sure.Match will be a normal 6 v. 6

Umaga breaks the ring with Cena's face and hits him like 1000 times with a chair. Cena pulls an STFU.
Cena gets ran over by a car, still gets the AA.
Cena survives the fallout of a nuclear bomb and still gets the win.
Every week, every event he won. He was champ for almost 2 years straight.
He got all the cream too.
The choir singing his prayers entrance . The 30's prohibition gangsters entrance. The marching ****en band entrance. The constant neverending pandering they did to the ****en dumb ass 6-10 year olds crowd.
Here's EVERY John Cena match between 2004-2009
Off the ropes Shoulder Block
Shoulder Block
Shoulder Block
Punch
Punch
Clothesline
Suplex
5 Knuckle
AA/FU or STFU
win
fake a look of worry and exhaustion afterwards
every single damn match
Cena was the one who broke the mold with the Champion always coming out last. WTF does he deserve to come out last after the World Champion HHH/Orton/Edge/Michaels/Fill-in-the-Blank???
Because millions of dumb ****en 8 year olds buy his t-shirts.
**** Cena

But I do agree Cena needs a gimick change.
The face of the company will always be some bonehead doing simplistic moves just to lure in the new audience/next generation.
