If CM Punks decides to retire, I think WWE will push the button on Roman. He is ready for the next step and the fans want to cheer him. He will be the next big thing once Batista/Brock are done.
Looks like Sting signed with WWE. Merchandise being made with moniker "Man Called Sting"
This is a sad day if Punk is leaving. The WWE have truly lost their minds. I was really hoping Roman Reigns was gonna win the Rumble but I knew deep down Batista was gonna win. I don't think the WWE is going to give Bryan the push he deserves and I'm afraid they are just going to bury Sting. I hope not but I won't count on it.

Little angel, go away come again some other day the Devil has my ear today I'll never hear a word you say. He promised I would find a little solace and some peace of mind. Whatever. just as long as I don't feel so desperate and ravenous.
Well the contract hasn't actually been signed yet for Sting. In addition, reports are unclear as to whether or not its just a WWE Legends contract Sting is considering signing or a part time deal.
Though admittedly, Sting doesn't need the money. It's whether or not he wants to actually wrestle for the WWE. And honestly, Sting had doubts in the past about how he would be used. That's why he didn't sign with them 12 years ago.
I will classify my previous post doubting Sting to sign with WWE as "reverse psychology" if he does show up on a show or PPV. I found it quite funny that these reports exploded in the last couple days after I doubted it.
I should do this with my Lions. Maybe we'll get the Super Bowl. lol

That, and he said in an interview (that i think is on some dvd) that what convinced him to not sign with WWE, was when the "Invasion" storyline was going, and Booker T came in on a short segment, introduced himself to the Rock, and the Rock said, "Who?"
I respect the hell out of Sting for always wanting to do what he thought was right, and didn't make it all about money.
Personally, I would be happy if he came in either right after WM at Raw, or right after Taker's match, and basically call him out and do a year long build up to a WM match. But who knows what WWE will do.
I don't think Sting would sign a Legends contract just yet. Too many people want to see him wrestle in the WWE ring an then get an induction to the HoF preferrably shortly afterward.
Onto Punk, I have mixed feelings. Part of me wants to see him get utilized better and have more creative control in another company. Yet, guys like him are exactly what WWE need. I think he'll probably be gone for a couple of months till Trips can talk him down and try to regain some sort of control.
Daniel Bryan's situation, this whole Royal Rumble and the Authority always sandbagging him seems like one giant work. I want to think that they are building up his fan base immensely before they let loose. This wouldn't surprise me if this was Vince's last great character build before he retires. I mean seriously, Vince knows that the whole Yes! chants being done at college and pro games will equal money in the future by getting more fans in and selling merch.
This is a long shot, but that's my 2 cents on Bryan. I see him basically being the next face of the WWE. Maybe not this year, but sometime.
I think Sting is finally ready to retire and will use this probably super minor part time run as a last hurrah. As awful as it is to be like this in the wake of part time pushes and everything, I'm excited to see Sting in WWE.
Relating to the whole part timer craze that is going on, I feel that Punk is right. These guys like Lesnar, Batista, Triple H, The Rock, NAO shouldn't be doing things like headlining wrestlemanias and taking away important matches from the new stars. They should be in roles like Y2J was, where they're in the picture but it's mostly to help BUILD the new stars. That is what pisses me off the most about it. I feel NAO may be an exception to this because it seems like they brought them in to help push the Tag division back to former glory and restore a bit of meaning to the titles (even though Cody/Goldust were already doing a good job of that).
If Punk did quit for real, I will be slightly salty about paying full price for the Punk hoodie I got on Monday.
It does drive me insane how they squash pushes for guys that the crowd loves. I mean you have guys like Ryder, Ziggler who fight tooth and nail to get over with the crowd and when they do, dudes are like "oh cool now go out and get reamed by Shameus." Or they go like PTP and just remove them from TV for months. I love the current roster of the WWE more than a lot of other times that I can remember, but it drives me up a wall when black holes of charisma like Orton, Batista, ADR, SHHHameus continue to be shoved down our throats while the actual charismatic and entertaining storytellers like Sandow, Cesaro (good on him getting in the EC match), PTP, Fandango, Ziggler and company continue to struggle with anything. I mean they brought Xavier Woods up to the main roster and all he does now is come out with R-Truth and do nothing? My complaints have been alleviated lately with the rise of Bryan, Reigns and the Wyatts but honestly there should be more storylines overall and less random matches and rematches. These part timers should be helping the current talent get over, not taking their roster spots.
All of the guys I mentioned above have all gotten over with the crowd at varying points but they lost it because the E failed to capitalize on the opportunity to make a star. Things like having Sandow lose the MITB cash in to a one armed cena and then do absolutely nothing? Remove PTP from tv entirely after they started to get hot and provide competition for Usos as the face tag team of the division? Do absolutely nothing with Fandango (besides trying to overmeme-ify Fandangoing) after he beats Y2J in his FIRST MATCH AT WM? Flatten Zigglers momentum by giving a title to ADR? All of these are absolutely mystifying decisions.
I guess I've been fed up lately with the things going like they are, I don't even have any interest left in watching, especially after "The Brotherhood" got interrupted by stupid, boring Brock "Boring" Lesnar ruined their rematch against the New Age Outlaws, Goldust was doing great in that match before stupid lesnar interrupted...
Ugh, this is why we can't have nice things...

The NXT crowd apparantly chanted "CM Punk" from beginning to end of the show.
And JR put out his thoughts on it, expressing, "I personally feel this isnt the last time we've seen Punk in a WWE ring."
My personal thoughts are that Punk needed time off to heal and needed to clear his head. I think Vince will contact him in the near-ish future and talk with him. I feel like CM punk will be back in the future, but not anywhere close to before Wrestlemania.

Can't wait for next Raw then Between YES! and CM PUNK being chanted, The Authority won't get a word in edge~wise.
But I agree with you on Punk.
Rumors have been circulating that once his contract is up in July, he was out the door anyway. He had no desire to stay. Guess Batista fueled that fire. I hope he'll give it once last go, and it happens his way at least with a lighter work load.
CM Punk has talked about flat out retiring for good when he is done. And unlike a lot of other people, Punk can't exactly smoke Pot every day like Randy Orton or pop painkillers like half the locker room does. Nagging injuries take their toll from being on the road 300+ days a year. And when he sees people like Brock Lesnar, Batista, Undertaker and the Rock get better paydays than he does, better positioning on the card than he does, I can't honestly blame him.
He busted his butt to put fans in the seats and make the company money, and these part time people reap all the rewards for it. The added uncertainty of PPV bonuses with the WWE Network being what it is, I can't blame Punk for quitting. Punk has been extremely frugal with his money, so he doesn't need the WWE. The WWE needed him.
And when he got tired of the WWE treating him like crap, he walked away. Honestly, Punk looked really disinterested in the entire Royal Rumble. I honestly think he was thinking about quitting before the PPV, but he didn't want to disappoint people who traveled to see him, as the Royal Rumble is the 2nd biggest WWE event of the year.
He made several rational points, you can't argue that someone would be a little ticked off that someone who works one day a year makes more money than he does working 300+ days...
Plus, Orton is known to use drugs, etc. Not really new info there.
Point is, Punk has every right to feel this way, and why shouldn't he? the proof is right there, Batista coming back, winning RR, Brock Lesnar coming back, not really wrestling and making a bigger paycheck than him...
Seriously, CM Punk's absence is going to be felt, hard and fast...

If there's something Vince is good at is how to write wrestlers off and they are generally soon forgotten after they leave. He did it to Hulk, Randy, Flair, etc. So brainstorming ideas on how to get people to forget CM Punk left the fastest:
1. Replace CM Punk with Roman Reigns in CM Punk's storyline. Have something come up Monday between Roman and Kane. Have a slow build until the night before EC about Reigns turning on Shield/Authority. Hell have him spear HHH. Lead this up to HHH vs Roman at WM.
2. Have an existing mid-card face jump to main eventer. I'm looking at Cody Rhodes, Big E, or Ziggler. Make it about them, not Batista, not Sheamus, not Cena, not Orton.
Also: from pwi-online:
- A petition that had reached almost 100,000 signatures to get Daniel Bryan into the main event of WrestleMania XXX has been pulled from the WhiteHouse.gov website under their Moderation Policy because it was in violation of their Terms of Participation.

I thought QFT meant something else entirely... [laughs sheepishly] heehee...
:/
Edit: Wait, what happened with PTP??!?!??
No worries. I figured by your post you didn't understand QFT. I had to pm a mod years ago to find out what it meant because I was seeing it everywhere. Not so much anymore. Now PTP, that I don't know. Lol.
Oh, and something I think we have overlooked, or maybe I missed the posts, is the current Class of 2014 for the Hall of Fame. So far we have:
Ultimate Warrior
Jake "The Snake" Roberts
I'm excited to see both of them get in. Especially Jake, after all the hard work he's been doing with DDP. Seeing his segment on Old School Raw brought back a lot of fond memories of him and Damian.
The Wyatt promo on Smackdown was AWESOME! I can't wait to see what happens between the Wyatts and the Shield leading up to the EC match. I'm going to miss Punk while he is gone but this feud could really ease the pain. It was strange to hear Rowan and Harper actually speak. I wasn't expecting that anytime soon.
Its hard to watch Ziggler and Sandow getting buried still. Those guys have so much upside that its unbelievable. I don't get it. Not to take anything away from Kofi but Sandow is a god on the mic. Those three deserve to be in the Chamber match not Cena, Christian, or Sheamus. PTP... SMH what a waste of really good tag team but I guess they have to make room for the NAO's.

ADR/Batista promo was the first ever one where if the lights fell on them, I'd applaud it.
For some reason it made me feel, "Oh boy, here is a giant pile of crap."
Also, for those who havent heard, Vince has taken the reigns in talking with punk personally (one on one based on the reports, on a man to man basis.... which isnt terribly odd as Vince is a business man and knows that sometimes you have to use honey) and has told HHH to NOT get involved anyway in talking with Punk for the time being.
I heard ADR is also walking away from the wwe. Im not sure if its true but if it is wwe really messed up bringing batista back. WWE merchandise sales were posted and CM punk was #2 in sales overall last year, behind cena. That alone makes me think they need ot bring him back.
Bearer is likely the posthumous inductee, Mr.T may be the celebrity (the other name escapes me, but he has strong ties to NOLA) and a growing amount internally want Lita to be in this year.
Yeah Lita was announced last night, great inductee. She revolutionized divas in pro wrestling.
Well looks like my ideas on how to get fans to forget about CM might come true. The idea is IF they decide to do a Triple Threat Match at WM (Orton/Batista/Bryan), then the original plan of Shield dismembering at WM will be on hold and have a storyline devlop of Roman tired of doing HHH's dirty work and leading up to an eventual WM match between the 2. Now, as long as HHH doesn't bury Roman, this will cause Roman to explode. I hope Roman is the one to take the US Title from Ambrose. Speaking of that, I was kind of hoping Mark Henry would win last night, and him and Big E would go after the tag titles and have 4 titles. Even if only short, it would have been sweet.
