Triple H to face The Undertake at "Wrestlemania". Rematch from last year.
When "Wrestlemania" airs on April 1st, 2012, the line-up thus far has proven to be something else. The matches that are confirmed for "Wreslemania" are as followed:
" Matches">John Cena vs. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (Match made at last years "Wrestlemania")
Triple H vs. The Undertaker (The Undertakers undeafed streak at risk. Match will be inside "Hell in a Cage") (Not Confirmed, but more than likely to happen) Shaemus vs World Heavywieght Champion Daniel Bryan for the World Heavywieght Championship
CM Punk will defend his title against an unknown opponent. I believe this to be Chris Jericho based on the happenings at the "Elimination Chamber"
Tag Team Titles, United States Title, Intercontential Title and the Diva's Title might be defended.
Any thoughts or ideas of what matches could be seen at "Wrestlemania" that are not already confirmed?
If you have a "Dream Match" that you have thought up of, please feel free to post the match for discussion.
I expect to see a match involving Teddy Long and Johnny Ace with the winner being the GM of both RAW and Smackdown. If they do this right they will pick wrestlers in their place and it will probobly be a 3v3, 4v4, or 5v5.
3v3
Johnny Ace team
Christian
Del Rio
David Otunga
Teddy Long team
Rey Mysterio(don't see them not bringing him back for mania unless he can just 100% no go)
Ezekial Jackson
Santino
4v4
Johnny Ace Team
Christian
Del Rio
David Otunga
Mark Henry
Teddy Long team
Rey Mysterio
Ezekial Jackson
Santino
Kofi Kingston
5v5

The Miz

I thought about having Randy Orton on team Teddy but sadly I don't see WWE doing the smart thing and letting fresh faced new talent like Sheamus and Bryan have a match for the WHC without his boring face in the middle of it. I think this could take the place of MITB this year, and if it does it will be a 5v5, if it doesn't then prolly a 3v3 since they will need 5-6 people for MITB.
It will be
CM Punk vs Chris Jehrico for the WWE Title as a result of the 10 man Battle Royal on Raw.
Also, a rumor that I heard was that this year's celebrity match will be
Shaq vs. Big Show.....
although another weirder, screwier, snowball's chance in hell would be Chris Brown as the celebrity.
Yea, its only fueled by his and CM Punk's Twitter War. I wouldnt be 100% suprised if punk loses at WM after an interference by Brown.... doubtful as hell, but possible
How looks they are building to Cody Rhodes vs. Big Show at mania 28. Which is interesting me, but like chriscrucial said I would like see Cody vs Goldust more.
i want to know why the ''creative'' team deems it necessary to have another damn Trips/taker match at WM. I'm sick of it. I didn't buy WM last year because it was their 2nd time. and now, a third? screw it. i'm saving my money.
On another note, the live Tuesday Smackdown taping only drew 1.7 in the Nielson ratings. The pre-taped ones usually draw a 2.3.
Knowing how Vince is about his money (live shows cost a lot more money) I doubt we will see a permanent move for Smackdown anytime soon.
Broadcast time moving from it's usual Friday to Tuesday probobly didn't help much with ratings either. Then again even though I like Daniel Bryan I've been boycotting Smackdown since the whole BS that happened with Christian's title reigns and how he was getting completely depushed below the likes of Wade Barrett ffs. He's one of the damn best they have in the company and that still pisses me off.
I would love to see Cody vs. Gold in a "I paint your face match". All sorts of make-up lines the ring and then leave the rest to the imganation.
Not going to lie. I missed most of Raw due to chores and cooking a rather late dinner. I missed the Battle Royal. I agree that Punk loses to Jerihco at mania.
Shaq vs. Big Show... Sound to boring. Chris Brown vs. Big Show. That's something I can get behind.
As for HHH vs. Taker (Hell in a Cell) - I believe this their second match against each other at mania not their third. Sorry to hear that this bums you out some, but I do understand since the second Michaels vs. Taker match was a huge disappointment to me.
How about this for a match?
Show vs. Taker vs. Kahli vs. Andre the Giant inside Hell in a Cell.
I don't think there will be a MitB match since they started doing MitB PPV's. Seems rather redudant. The idea behind having a GM for both shows seems optimal from my stand point, but who knows that the WWE is actually thinking. This also goes along with Vince and money and makes this statement much more true.

This was a storyline from 7 or so years ago, maybe more...and something I wanted to point out. WWE or wrestling in general has a "after 7 years, it can be recycled." Go look it up on TVtropes.org if you dont believe me.
Also, the is no Money in the Bank PPV this year. This year is:
Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, WrestleMania, Extreme Rules, Over the Limit, TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs, SummerSlam, Night of Champions, Hell in a Cell, and Survivor Series.
so methinks that MiTB will be on the card at Wrestlemania
also, this is match number 3 for Taker vs. HHH: The first one was at Wrestlemania X-7.
i want to know why the ''creative'' team deems it necessary to have another damn Trips/taker match at WM. I'm sick of it. I didn't buy WM last year because it was their 2nd time. and now, a third? screw it. i'm saving my money.
They're playing it safe. Rock/Cena will draw buys. Everything else just needs to be watchable, and Triple H and the Undertaker is a pretty safe bet.
Plus you get to see the two men who most personify the Hell in a Cell face-off in that very match for the first time (one on one, mind you, because they've been in the Cell together once before: in the Armageddon 6-man). But I'm pretty much the only person on the planet who finds that to be interesting, I guess.
I can understand playing it safe, but considering that this is Takers 20th match, you'd figure they'd make it special in some manner. I don't need to see this match rehashed again. They each pull off their own "finishers" twice.....then do the others finishers, twice.....then on an attempted tombstone, trips reverses, to which taker reverses that to hells gate.
Kinda why I didn't buy the WM with Taker//HBK 2. It wasn't as good as the first match, and too predictable.
And yea, this is the 3rd time. First match they had was WMX7. I still have that on vhs. That one was a great match back then.
I wasn't watching around then. :| I started watching closer to Mania 15. I'm sure everyone here knows how parents can be. Time to watch the match on YouTube.
MitB is possible then. Who do believe the contenders to be? And 6 or 8 wrestlers? Also, one or two matches? Matches depend on if contract covers both the WWE and World Heavyweight titles. I would think it only to be one match in that case:
6 Man:
Rey Mysterio (SMD)
R-Truth (RAW)
Cody Rhodes (SMD)
Doplh Ziggler (RAW)
Big Show (SMD)
The Mix (RAW)
If 8 Man then add these two:
Kofi Kingston (RAW)
The Great Khali (SMD)
EDIT: Did anyone happen watch the last showing of Smackdown? I missed
EDIT2: Looks like a match between Randy Orton and Kane seems very likely at Mania 28
well, looks like HBK is the guest ref for the Trips/Taker match. /sigh.
calling this right now:
Trips practically KO's Taker, and HBK stops on the 2 count, or just flat out doesn't count. Crowd chants to 3, Trips is pissed, stands up to yell at HBK, and *wack*.....Sweet Chin Music. Taker then rolls over on Trips, to get the Victory.
Anyone know how to apply for a job at WWE? because this crap seems way to easy to write nowadays, and probably pays boatloads more then my job.
Serious note, Punk vs Y2J is looking good. I'm actually wanting to watch that more-so than Rock and Cena.
This is rumored to be Undertakers finally Wrestlemania or there's a chance he might do one more. There's no way they'd have him "lose" a wrestlemania but then win because of an interference. It makes no sense for him to lose to HHH. If he's ever going to give up the streak, it's not this year. Perhaps next year if he wrestles in it.
Why? Because something as prestigious as the streak does not get wasted on someone who is going to be retiring from ring action to be an executive in the office. This type of thing can only be used to propel some younger star to future #1 Man in the Company. Think about a young star who took down Undertaker's wrestlemania streak, they'd be set their entire career. Plus, Calaway/Undertaker seems like a decent enough guy irl to pass the torch like that.
If Undertaker loses his streak to HHH, I don't see how I could continue watching wrestling. It's just egotistical and reflects badly on a future WWE run by HHH and Steph.
Wrasslemania seems like all killer no filler for once. As long as none of the matches are extremely lame I think I will be pretty happy with my ppv purchase.

Saying that you sometimes wish people (in this case the implication is the staff) would fall down a well and get AIDS is hardly appropriate for the forum.
The only match that I am not looking forward to is the Diva's Tag Team match. Even more so after Eve's "involvement" with Ryder this last Monday.
True. I do like that it isn't just a lame 1v1 with no buildup. Kind of a waste for the celebrity match though.

While I usually really enjoy WWE, I've lost interest those last two months.
This Road to Wrestlemania simply isn't being interesting to me. Don't know for sure, I guess I had quite a few disappointments.
I honestly care less about The Rock this year than I did last year. His feud with John Cena seem to have devolved into some sort of primary school antagonism.
CM Punk character got a lot less interesting after he became champion. His feud against Johnny Ace during the beginning of the year made him just look like a bully, not a badass rebel as apparently was the intention.
Chris Jericho was hyped up as being something dark, sinister, kinda like the Undertaker or Kane... but instead came back for just a pretty bland and generic feud.
Speaking of which, I feel that the Kane feud with John Cena was wrapped up too suddenly. And Undertaker facing Triple H again doesn't have as much impact as it did last year, for me.
Crap, I'm sounding exact like the type of poster that I usually hate, those that keep only complaining about everything.
Nonetheless, I'll probably pick up as soon as the fallout from Wrestlemania is over, to see where they go from there.
I know what you mean. I've completely lost interest. Turning Punk into a baby face was amazingly only one of a list of terrible decisions.
I've hated the Rock v. Cena match since it was announced. It makes little sense. The story also never made the Rock relevant. Really disappointed in how unexciting that match feels.
HHH v. Taker pisses me off too. Anyone else could have been awesome vs. Taker. Why didn't they have it be Rock v. Taker? Both don't have to have a story to have a great match. It also would have left the mainstage event open to a more story driven match. (Such as Evil Cena v. Punk...)
The Jericho v. Punk feud was going well, but the whole YOUR FAMILY HAS PROBLEMS dealio seems like a combination of bullying and bad writing. I just don't get why they would think of mentioning it. Its used as a catalyst to hate Jericho... but there are so many better possibilities (this has been used but forcing CM punk to drink some beer...).
