FINAL FOUR
#1 Digi (12-2) v #4 TisForTool (9-5)
#2 Cardiac Cat (11-3) v #3 Blade332 (10-4)
The final 4 will need to a) post their lineups for the week on this thread or b) pm me your roster. All regular league rules apply. Waiver wire adds are allowed. Keep in mind there is a game Thursday night so adjust your lineups accordingly. Lineups may be adjusted up until the kickoff of any players individual game. Good Luck gentlemen.
This team was ran by a former co-worker of mine that I talk to once every couple of months in the off season. After never playing fantasy football 3 years ago, he can now call himself a champion
I want to thank all of the MTGS crew that is in my league:
Arcadic--Team Arcadic
Cardiac Cat--Locascio
Con_Valian--Greater Xiphias
Qtip--The Cotton Swabs
and good lord...I can't remember who here was running the Clam Jammers Anonymous team. Who was it? lol
I just noticed that Locasio was last year's champ. Now my loss doesnt feel as bad. I must say I think I did decent for a 1st year, once I got my head into picking out whose really good and such.

Cardiac won Scott's league last year, not the MTGS league(s). You beat last years champ last week

Thats what I meant by saying that.... probably should of worded it better.
I think my biggest flaw this year was new-ness, but also being to attatched to certain guys.
Hopefully, whatever league im in next year, I can go all the way.....

Ouch, its sad that Winterfell died because of the late Reggie Bush scratch.
Love the league, lets do something crazy again for the next season. I stated in the draft room that with the 3 QB potential, i'd go for 4 RB's first, and it got me 3rd, so i'm very happy with how that strategy turned out. Cutler getting hurt could have cost me big time if Foles hadn't done so well as a backup.
Just stopping by to post my lineup for this week
QB: Peyton Manning
RB: LeSean McCoy, Toby Gerhart
WR: Eric Decker, Desean Jackson
OP: Nick Foles
TE: Charles Clay

Yeah as Pats fan I have to agree that the PI was a horrible call. I also thought your intentional grounding was bad too until I found out that even outside the pocket he never got it back across the original line of scrimmage, so the penalty stands. Bad calls both ways too, all day.
We don't know if Brady could have still orchestrated the rest of the drive (they were at the 30 at the time with 0:40 left) but now we'll never know because the refs made it easy for them. At least the Browns had a chance because the time gained from it to get in position for a field goal attempt although a nearly impossible attempt at that.
There was no PI in the endzone but clear PI or holding out about the 4 yard line. In all I didn't think it was any worse a call than when Hightower stripped the ball and would have returned it for a TD but they blew the whistle for 'forward progress' even though the ball was in the air before the whistle blew (10 point swing right there). Or the Josh Gordon drop that they somehow confirmed.
And the intentional grounding penalty was definitely correct.

True and all those were in my mind when I said bad calls all day, both ways. I already have a pretty bad reputation as a Pats homer around here or I would have brought all these up as well. This was one of those just take the W and move on things.

I watched the first three quarters. It was mainly the chargers o and clock control, but Manning and his o had multiple chances to drive the ball after their first td. The chargers d did not look that bad, but the top garnered from rivers really did it. At least up until the end of the third.
Broncos' defense fails again. They aren't going anywhere near a SB with that defense.
Which AFC team is a slam dunk guarantee to beat them, though? The Patriots defense is almost as bad and the offense is worse. Indie is a shell of a team. Cinci is so inconsistent they may eliminate themselves. The Ravens are undertalented though plucky, and could plausibly be the guys.
The Broncos, Pats, Ravens and Bengals probably have roughly equal chances of getting to the SB, assuming the Ravens do make the playoffs. Winning it is a different story - there are a few NFC teams that should beat any of them - but in one game, anything can happen.

Would definitely not say any team is a "slam dunk" to beat them, but at this point, nothing would surprise me with how bad that defense is playing. It won't take a world-beater offense to come close to beating them(see: San Diego)
I'm still holding on for my Chargers to make it to the playoffs this year, I know that if we play like we have proven we can earlier in the season, we can beat Oakland and KC and finish off 9-7. Whether it will actually happen is another story.
Still, a win in Denver was a very pleasant surprise for me. Even as a die hard Chargers fan, I wasn't holding my breath for the Bolts to win this one. No one gave them a shot and they managed to make it happen. I love my team. <3
Rivers played well, but this win was definitely thanks to the defense. They managed to stop Manning, which is a feat that seems hard to accomplish this season. I was also happy with another great game from Keenan Allen. Fingers crossed that he wins the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award, I think he really deserves it.
