Obviously, it's awesome to see a freshman break the barrier, but in my opinion, T'eo absolutely deserved it. If you look at stats sheets and highlight reels, Manziel was the better player. If you look at the essentials of football: the mindset, the leadership, the focus, the awareness, the results, T'eo is the better player. I think the bigger issue is that Football press will always prefer offensive players.
But that's not necessarily important: made this thread to discuss the Heisman, the hype, etc. Do what you will; whether that means arguing over who should've won or contemplating how Manziel will look in your fantasy team in three or four years.
One plays in the SEC and one plays for an independent school... considering the Heisman is really nothing more then a popularity contest among the top handful of players... it is kinda obvious that this was gonna happen.

Calling someone a Commie is flaming and must be stopped, but turning the word Conservative into a loaded pejorative and using it over and over again is perfectly acceptable.
The Heisman is a complete joke. It supposedly is given to the best football player in college, but in reality it's given to the best football player on offense. You could have the best defensive player in the history of the game in the running and unless he also plays offense he will lose.
I have no respect for the award or for the people who won it, never have never will.
