A random thought occurred to me today regarding the character Ser Robert Strong from Dance with Dragons:
We suspect who the body is: The Mountain. We suspect that he's been reanimated by Qyburn. The thought is, what if he's not so idly named? What if the head, and the reason that he never takes off his helmet, belongs to Robert Baratheon?
Pretty sure enough time passed between Robert's death and the introduction of Robert Strong that Robert Baratheon is probably worm food by that point, where as Gregor Clegane hadn't been dead that long at that point. Robert Strong is also 8 feet tall, which is about the same height as Gregor Clegane and much taller than Robert Baratheon (implied by the fact that Gregor Clegane towered over EVERYONE not named Sandor Clegane).
Robert Baratheon was big but they call Gregor Clegane "the Mountain that Rides" for a reason. Sandor is the only one mentioned that can even compare to his size, Brienne the Beauty gets an honorable mention I believe. The odds of king Roberts had not being highly decomposed is skin to none, several months if not a year have passed since book one.
Edit: I cannot wait for the last 2 books, this is the first series in a long time that had had me thinking about it CONSTANTLY.
EDIT: That was the first thing I thought we Strong showed up in the story!
