Xerath's poke is actually better than Nidalee's (if only by volume, he has more of it but individual spells don't do as much), but he's not gamebreaking.
The difference between the two is pretty simple. Xerath brings a serious disadvantage to offset it: he's not mobile and extremely vulnerable to being engaged on. Nidalee gets away almost automatically between her passive and pounce. She brings game-changing poke - good enough to make her a solid teamfighter via single target damage, even, so teams with a Nidalee aren't automatically vulnerable to hard engage - without offering up a weakness in exchange.
Spear should have a longer cooldown, FAR lower damage, maybe some damage throwing it from the brush, maybe be harder to dodge, and should give a bonus on damage from Nidalee's other stuff. Her play pattern should be to lead with a spear and then jump on you from the brush, not just huck spears every few seconds until someone dies.
Nidalee's teamfighting IS awful without landing spears beforehand, though. A bit less so in this meta of healstacking. Anyway there is generally very much a problem if a nidalee team gets engaged on without poking first.
I'm not going to argue with anyone who tells me she's OP or whatever because yes she definitely is, but she does have weaknesses. She doesn't need a rework, she has a solid basis in her kit already. She just needs nerfs.

Her spear should be obliterated, not just nerfed - there's no healthy middle ground for it. It's an inherently unhealthy ability and it has been for years. Whenever it's good, it's good by virtue of being something she can spam and if one hits, its game-changing. A large CD nerf, a large mana cost nerf or a large damage nerf would essentially make AP Nidalee a pointless build.
I mean, it's not uncommon to see it chunking for more than half with that one spell. She can usually burst a squishy opponent in one go round of her skills if she can land a spear with decent range and then close. She's definitely not a GOOD teamfighter, but if she lands her spear in the opening seconds, lands the next one, throws E on the ADC and pounces someone, she's done ok. She's no dedicated teamfighter, but she's not an evelynn or a teemo or a twisted fate in a teamfight either.
...one Nidalee spear at medium range (NOT maximum range - medium range) equals TF's whole burst, on the same cooldown... he gets a stun, she gets her heal + AS buff and a whole lot more burst any time she wants to commit.
As for bruiser Eve, I've never seen anything I'd describe as a bruiser eve build in action so I don't know if that's a good teamfighting build. Every Eve I have seen in action (I've topped out at Gold 1 in ranked, for skill level reference) becomes a huge liability in that she can generally either be instantly focused down or can be ignored while doing almost no damage, usually a mix of both. So, it's plausible that there's a strong teamfighting evelynn build out there, but I rather doubt it.
And that's totally disregarding the pure win-lane-lose-game champs like Yorick and Urgot (who don't even win lane anymore).
I mean, nobody is saying Nidalee is a good teamfighter. She's a bad teamfighter. But she's not a disgracefully bad one; she's not anywhere near bad enough in a teamfight to come anywhere close to offsetting the things she does overwhelmingly well.
Anyway yea, eve has been played bruiser for a little while now, especially competitively. Watch pretty much any pro eve game from like the past half year and they'll almost all be sotel->maybe bork maybe not->randuins/bveil/hex/etc. She's actually quite strong that way because flanks with her ultimate are good initiation, and then constant sotel damage with Ravage attack speed and the sticking power of bork (if you got it) is good. She's actually the main priority pick for a few jungle players now.

To a single target that isn't being blocked, if you hit them. And please consider that a targeted stun is extremely powerful.
Why does Kennen see little play? He's still good at harassing champions with no sustain like Jax. He also does well against Soraka due to his endless long-range harass and AP burst.
Self-centered (literally) AOE ult with no gap closers = subpar kit outside of lane phase, same major problem as galio. And yea he's just about always had one of the strongest laning phases in the game, it's definitely not his problem.

I've been playing jungle eve in ranked a lot lately. I have the most wins on her than any other champ I own. Going spirit->Bork-> tank makes her incredible. Your initiates are great, as getting a huge shield + slow is awesome. I usually go something like:
Spirit of elder lizard -> can be exchanged later
BotRK
Randuin's Omen
Banshee's Veil
Sunfire Cape
Maw
Of course it's game dependent, but that's worked out well for me.

He was showing up a lot in last split of season 3. With Flash, of course.

I'm suddenly feeling silly today and decide to keep playing AP Nasus against Bots.
How do you guys find AP Nasus in PvP? Sort of ok? unexpected but manageable? Totally out of the question?
AP Nasus doesn't really work on the Rift, from what I've seen, but it's pretty good in ARAM. Chalice>Rylai's>Liandry's, and just watch people burn when you ult.
As for Kennen, I've played him AD top a few times, and it's working out pretty well. Not as much of a fan of him as an AP, but as a secondary AD, he's pretty decent. His ult is a great defensive tool against bruisers, and if you rush BotRK, he's incredibly hard to catch.
I become perm banned was not the attitude, its like:
There used to be a service that allows you to get the medieval twitch skin for $20 (I own at least 1 skin for every champion , and twitch is a champ I don't have any skin for , and I don't like any of twitch skin except for medieval twitch) , and you can get 50 friend referral for free, I did this crazy stuff years ago and Riot didn't found out.
So after a year they tried to investigate on it and suddenly they found me so they banned me, but I just talked to one of the Rioter saying I wont do this thing ever again, give one last chance, and they only gave 2 week ban now.

WOOOHOOO
Glad your problem is solved It'd be a shame if you were to restart everything from scratch.
On a different topic: people need to stop playing champs they think are OP without having practice with them first. I see so many bad Leblancs that whenever I go up against one, I feel like it's almost a free lane(and sometimes game) win. It's crazy.
Well crud. According to http://wastedonlol.com/ I've spent a ridiculous amount of time in this game. I don't know if I should be proud or worried (granted, this is over 4 years)
