I was introduced to this band by someone long ago It's basically just former Eels member Tommy Walter. It's basically mellow, alternative-sounding rock with a slight hint of electronic. I love the band, but I find it hard to find people who even know who they are. But Sublime Currency is one of my favorite albums ever, and it's my current obsession.
I've liked them the moment "The Remedy" first appeared on my local rock/alt station. The NBC drama E.R. even played part of the song during one of it's episodes. They're one of those bands that just fell through the cracks for some reason. It's not like they suck because everyone that I have played them for has enjoyed them.
Also they did the theme song to "Clone High" which was also a "slip through the cracks" show, probably because MTV. I think anyone who would know who they are would know them from that. But yeah, I never heard "The Remedy" on the radio, but it and "Mercy Kiss" were apparently radio singles. "Suburban Muse" I think was my favorite song overall on the album. But it's one of those bands that get better each album. Except...Somnambulist hasn't got to me yet.
