I missed my chance to go see it last week due to work so I'll just wait til it's released this November on Blu-ray. From what I've heard a sequel's already in the works with Super Saiyan God Gogeta and Goku's mother Gine is supposed to make an appearance as well so that will be interesting. Too bad FUNimation never bothered dubbing "Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!!" which is the prequel to DragonBall Z: Battle of Gods that featured Vegeta's brother Tarble and his wife.

Not so much a prequel as a special. None of the plot of that one enters into this one, they both serve as Epilogues to the series.
The reason why Funimation has not been able to obtain the rights to Yo! Son Goku and his Friends Return is a rights issue. That was distributed by Shueisha because it was a part of the Jump Super Anime Tour. Battle of Gods was distributed by 20th Century Fox and Toei. Its not that Funimation doesn't want to dub the special. It's that Shueisha won't license it.
Having missed out on the limited theatrical release back in August I got the extended edition blu-ray for Christmas last year and it was pretty good despite having the voice actors from the Kai dub instead of the original FUNimation dub. My only disappointment going into Revival of "F" (which is the direct sequel to Battle of Gods) is that we'll be stuck with Chris Ayres reprising his role as Frieza from the Kai dub instead of Linda Young from the original FUNimation dub. Beerus is returning from the last film, Krillin shaved his head, and Gohan is given the Yamcha treatment just like he was in GT.
Also does anyone know as to why there was never a FUNimation dub for Dragon Ball: Episode of Bardock? It takes place right after the events of Bardock: The Father of Goku in which the Kanassan abilities that Bardock acquired he was able to travel to the past just seconds before Frieza destroys Planet Vegeta where Bardock finds himself on Planet Plant confronting Frieza's grandfather Chilled who had no prior knowledge of the Saiyan race since they haven't taken over Planet Plant yet from the Tuffles to rename it Planet Vegeta. Chilled passed down the knowledge of the Super Saiyan legend to his descendants because of Bardock which explains how Frieza knew about it.

I've seen it and it was disappointing. It hinted to a follow up but i prefer to keep the old good DBZ epicness saved in my memory. I don't know why but everytime they think about doing something recent with DB it sucks. 1- the ridiculous movie 2- then this GOds stuff, 3- i hear they want to do live action series about it.
I admit I was disappointed when I first watched the Japanese Sub for it since I felt that the CGI ruined the battle choreography for me where by the time I got around to watching the English Dub it didn't bother me as much as I thought it would. The only thing recent about Dragon Ball that sucks IMO is Dragon Ball Z Kai since there wasn't any reason for FUNimation to re-dub the series when there wasn't any flaws to the original dialogue and voice acting especially the epic musical score by Bruce Faulconer.

I'm actually quite keen to check out this new DBZ movie. As it features the only villain that will actually be training to beat Goku instead of the other way around.
Well to be fair Cell trained to beat Goku right before the start of the Cell Games and succeeded in doing so only for Goku to forfeit his match against him by having his son Gohan take over which actually paid off really well in the end.

So I've been hearing rumors of unconfirmed spoilers based on the last 35 minutes of Revival of "F" which was supposedly leaked by someone with the reddit username "princetrunks1887" whose account was recently deleted because of it. This is just speculation as of now where nothing is confirmed until the film's official release in Japan next month. Here's what princetrunks1887 said in regards to what he/she believes transpired in the last 35 minutes of the film:
Goku gets beamed through the chest off camera for a split second by Frieza in his Golden form similar to how Frieza killed Vegeta on Old Namek where he ends up kicking Goku through a canyon of rocks where Goku is lying on the floor with his eyes half way open while trembling as his power decreases until Vegeta walks up to him and Goku goes, "Win this one for me Vegeta, please, please..." and Vegeta replies, "Don't worry Kakarot, I have something in mind."
Vegeta then looks toward Frieza and they have a stand off with each other when 8 seconds later Vegeta transforms into a form as strong as Super Saiyan God where he goes into a head to head battle against Frieza in his Golden form that goes on for about a half an hour which leads up to the film's climax where Vegeta rams Frieza's fist down his throat and proclaims, "I'm the KING of all Saiyans!"
Frieza then explodes and gets vaporized into nothing where his soul no longer exists and the end credits later show that Frieza is nowhere to be found in Hell (a.k.a. HFIL/Home for Infinite Losers) like he was at the beginning of the film where he was wrapped inside a cocoon being tortured while having flashbacks of his defeat at the hands of Goku and Trunks.
What baffled me in regards to what's been shown in the 3rd official teaser trailer for the film is why Goku is fighting Frieza at Base instead of Super Saiyan 3 or Super Saiyan God. He wasn't able to fight on par against Beerus at Super Saiyan 3 yet he felt unsatisfied fighting him at Super Saiyan God only because he didn't achieve that power on his own and to make matters worse the transformation to sustain that level of power was much shorter than the Fusion Dance. Goku didn't want to go through the process of transforming into a Super Saiyan God again after what happened last time where he knows Super Saiyan 3 wouldn't be strong enough against Frieza's Golden form.

Anyway, here's the prologue in manga form if anyone's interested:
