I'm just gonna be the guy that says I'd be pissed if any of my cards got damaged from that.
All the LGS I go to on a regular basis have it posted somewhere in the play area, if you damage someone elses cards you are responsible to replace them. One LGS wont let a player whos damaged someone elses cards play in any event until the cards are replaced.
My FNM is worse then that clip but, that doesnt mean everyone playing should be stereotyped as those type players. You are bashing the paper game because of a few people. If everyone was the same it would be a very boring world. You choose to shield yourself from different people. All you are doing is missing out.
Well your store is the exception not the rule then, I have played at a multitude of stores and never seen a person table flip a game once.
I have seen someone get upset but never to that point.

I don't think I've even seen any MTG players get upset before, but then again, I've only really played at 2 stores, one in my college town and one in my home town.
The worst moment I've ever seen was when I played other card games, mostly Dragon Ball Z and a bit of YU-GI-OH.
Basically, Sundays were the day allocated to those games and Pokemon, and some of the Dragonball Z kids (not all of them) at that store were really loud. whiny kids who could never agree on the rules, so games would often result in shouting matches. Basically, one yugioh player ended up getting sick of all that and yelled at them to figure out the rules.
that's really the only heated moment I've seen in maybe ten years of playing various card games.
I don't think that applying one stereotype to the whole group just because of one incident is fair though.
Yeah, I don't know what you guys are on about. Everyone at my lgs is pretty mature and have a good sense of humour. We also have a "be nice or leave" policy that is enforced with an iron fist. My friend was almost kicked out for yelling out "you suck" to another of our friends across the room. We explained that it was just friendly heckling though

There has never been a land that enters the battlefield untapped unconditionally and taps for two colors unconditionally. That would be strictly better than a basic land
First, I love Boogie. Go ahead and watch and freak out, he gets paid for his youtube videos.
Second, I'd like to see a flip at my LGS, the tables are long and host three games each, so there's 5 other people feeling his wrath. (potentially more on how far he flips). This almost guarantees one person will have enough balls to flat-back the guy.
Ya, if you watch some other videos of this guy its clear that he has some personality disorder, maybe aspergers.
I can't say that I've seen a table flip, but I had one guy win a match and jump up on the table... while wearing a cape and screaming that he was the "Master of the Beasts."
That guy sounds awesome. I believe he is proof that paper> Online.
I totally wanna play a Mortal Kombat deck at a PTQ and when i win, i will slap a boom box down on the table play the Mortal Kombat song and start dancing in my Sub Zero costume.

Calling someone a Commie is flaming and must be stopped, but turning the word Conservative into a loaded pejorative and using it over and over again is perfectly acceptable.
Obviously fake, but nonetheless the complete opposite of my gaming store. Though there are a few guys who stand out as clear basement dwellers, most of the people I have met are really chill. Anyone I've befriended has good hygiene, an apparently steady income, usually a wife/ kids, and has never lost their temper playing Magic.
I could could see real life "Francisis" being kind of awkward though haha.
