wow, that guy needs a few less energy drinks and a bit more patience. We all get frustrated at times but I've never seen anyone get THAT pissed.

Thats pretty tame compare to what goes on at one of the LGS I play at. There are at least 3 table flips at each FNM at the store. There are guys we just wait for to explode. Its going to happen, its just a matter of which round. In my opinion, thats what makes paper Magic 10 times better then online.
Even still to make that big of a joke out of yourself in the context of being a MtG player makes us all look bad. That's more my problem.

MtG in real life/offline is a social thing. Even the most reclusive of players will need some sort of social skill in order to play in real life, which to me is a plus.
Online, not so much. It just encourages anti-social behavior more, because you get little to no feedback when you lose it at home.
The guy probably acts worse if/when he's online.
I'm not discounting that the video itself is fake (or maybe my faith in humanity is too strong -- I refuse to think someone would be THAT stupid when they know they're being filmed, not to mention the lighting is perfect). If real, he should be hearing from the DCI soon. Its the very definition of unsportsmanlike conduct.
Ya, if you watch some other videos of this guy its clear that he has some personality disorder, maybe aspergers.
I can't say that I've seen a table flip, but I had one guy win a match and jump up on the table... while wearing a cape and screaming that he was the "Master of the Beasts."
I guess OP wants it to be 'keyworded' like "dies" was. What word would you replace ETB with though?
When Aegis Angel is born?
When Huntmaster of the Fells arrives?
When Kitchen Sphinx lands?
When Faerie Imposter busts in?
When Dread Cacodemon pops in?
When Malfegor shows up?

Its called real life, step outside and experience it! Interaction with humans isnt all bad. Sometimes it can be down right enjoyable!! Like I said, this is tame where I play. If that happened where I play people would be laughing. Cant beat real life for enjoyment!

Since when is playing MTG the only way to experience "real life"?
Listen guy, I completely understand that playing paper magic involves socialization, and it is that SPECIFIC type of socialization that I am trying to avoid by playing online.
When I want to socialize I don't do it within the context of a trading card game. If you do, that's fine, and you are more than welcome to join the ranks people like I showed in the vid. I won't judge you, but I won't be there either.

Stereotyping ALL Magic players by a video that is meant to be a joke is kind of ignorant. But hey, whatever floats your boat!

I guess I shouldn't hang out with black people because the stereotype is that they're lazy, unproductive thieves, and their women are noisy, unattractive know-it-alls. Why do you care what strangers think of you anyway?

Backpedal much? Earlier in this thread you claimed your FNMs were much worse than what was shown in the video.
Is every paper MTG player like this? No.
Is everyone at a Star Trek convention weird? No, but you get the point.
My FNM is worse then that clip but, that doesnt mean everyone playing should be stereotyped as those type players. You are bashing the paper game because of a few people. If everyone was the same it would be a very boring world. You choose to shield yourself from different people. All you are doing is missing out.

This is why I prefer the anonymity of playing online. Let's face it guys, a MTG tourney makes a Star Trek convention look like Club 54.

So that you can act like that guy without anyone knowing it was you?
Or so no one sees me in public enjoying the same hobby as these ppl.
