Imagine you are 5 years old and you see your mom kissing Santa Claus. Would you want to know that Santa wasn't real, or would you want to believe that Santa is real and that you'll have to live with your mom cheating on your dad? Would your answer change depending on other ages?
or The fact that mistletoe is so magical that even if an uninvited stranger comes into your house you still got to kiss the coal laden slob if he finds you under the mistletoe?
yeah that song doesn't stand the test of time and totally has a creep factor nowadays.

My parents were divorced by the time I was 5 and I still believed in Santa at that time. So I would have been amazed! At any other age I would have assumed my mom had some boyfriend who was dressed as Santa and been grossed out by it.
Slightly OT-My grandpa dressed as Santa one year for my mom and she totally bought it. I wonder how young she was because I could recognize my dad easily anywhere, regardless of how he's dressed, and my grandpa happens to be 6" 4' and over 200lbs. You cannot ignore him even if you wanted to, which sucks because he's one grouchy 76 year old man.
I would hope Santa was real, and not my dad in costume - my dad was a piece of garbage.
If my dad was in a Santa costume, it would likely be so that he could place a bucket outside and ring a bell and people would give him money not knowing he's a fraud.

At 5, marital fidelity won't exactly be in a kid's mind unless the topic has been brought up (for example, parents fighting because one was caught cheating).

I'm not sure at what age I would have been aware of what cheating is.

Here we have proof of Santa's existence.
