Hi!
I started playing magic in Magic Online last week, and I manage to get a big T2 collection and start playing in big tournaments soon.
My two questions are - How I can do this without spending so much money and time? And where I can trade my bad commons with good ones?
Netn9 - There are no good solutions for trading away your bad commons and getting good. MTGO is overrun with crap commons and I have over 3 million myself and a bot with 1.2 million that gives them away for free.(mtgotradersfreebot)
" How I can do this without spending so much money and time?" Those two things conflict each other because if you had a lot of time you could put up a buy ad in the classifieds or spend your time looking for bots that do not update their prices to find a good deal. The problem is that takes up a lot of time and you don't end up saving all that much. Another solution is to buy from a reputable bot or website. There are plenty of them out there so just ask around.
If you have a ton of time just put up some buy ads on the classifieds for a bit more than bots are paying but a bit less than they are selling for. I bet you will eventually get a few bites.
PureMTGO MTGOTraders - Coupon mtgsallypaypal for 8% off orders paid for with paypal. MTGO Hotlist! - Pays more than bots for singles. CapeFearGames - Coupon mtgsally for 5% off entire order. Orders ship same day if order placed before 3pm EST M-F. Do not stack with other coupons please.
Paying extra 20% on paper cards for MTGOTraders credits.
The best way is probably to just buy a deck, and then do Daily Events, 8-man's, and 2-man events until you get a good chunk of booster packs and use that to fund new tournaments, build new decks, and draft.
You should Daily Events, before 8 mans, and 8 mans before 2 man events. You only have to win a touch over 50% of the time in a Daily Event to break even I believe.
