A flying mono- or two-colored finisher in Naya colors that's an effective replacement for Thundermaw. Something on its power level, or Baneslayer's power level, please. No more than 5 CMC.
Some good creatures with haste to replace the outgoing Flinthoof Boar, Hellrider and Strangleroot Geist.
An additional mana dork, because we're going from 3 to 1.
And for the new duals not to suck, nor spike ridiculously in price.
At least 20% of keyword mechanics should be able to be printed on noncreature spells that do not require creatures for full use (Overload = fine, Cipher & Populate = still creature dependent).
I'm not looking for mechanics that are only possible on noncreature spells, like Entwine or Splice. Flexibility is even better. Keywords like Dredge that can be put on anything are the best.

Actually...splice technically isn't limited to spell cards. Splice means to, essentially "pay additional cost, add this card's text to appropriate spell". If you had:
When ~ enters the battlefield, you gain 4 life.
Splice onto creature 2W
When ~ enters the battlefield, draw a card.
Splice onto creature 3U
When ~ enters the battlefield, target player discards a card.
Splice onto creature 2B
When ~ enters the battlefield, target creature can’t block this turn.
Splice onto creature
When ~ enters the battlefield, creatures you control get +1/+1 until end of turn.
Splice onto creature 1G
...there wouldn't be much of a problem. And no, sliding effects would merely cause the creature to lose that ability. Remember how this card is worded.
About any "subpar" mechanics or cards: Context is king.
If I make a templating or grammar error, let me know.
The franchise MtG most resembles is Battlestar Galactica. Why? Its players exist in, at most, a dozen different models at any given point in time, with perhaps up to 3% variation, 5% if you're lucky.
Reprint Rancor (won't happen) and get some decent low cmc hexproof guys.
But really I just want something new. I want a powerful new architype to rock standard and even hit modern. Hell I would like to see some awesome stuff that could at least affect legacy. I don't want to see same old same old architypes.
Oh look....low cmc white based creature rush!
And now its a red based aggro deck!
Blue and white with a third party started being all control-y...
And a new deck based around a broken card.

You?
Is that too hard to ask for?
2. Kiora Atua (Come on she's BEGGING to be in this block.
3. Some awesome merfolk (I want a new merfolk deck)
4. For them to keep multicolor to a minimum. (We already know we're getting some but I'd prefer to keep it minimal)
5. Some fun Auras (practically a guarantee)
why yes I am greedy indeed.

Also awesome red or green one-drops.
