This is just a crazy out there idea for the future that I am not even sure would be possible, but I am gonna throw it out there anyway since we are working toward a better MTGS. Given that when I click on a card in a trade list to check the price, it uses the same browser tab to do so and makes checking prices and lists somewhat difficult at times, would it ever be possible to implement something on the mouseover images that has a small bar at the bottom show TCG prices?
Again I know this would be something for down the line, and may not even be possible but I wanted to throw that Brainstorm out there.

Every post starting with a "0" is kinda funny, but I don't get it, and other than things in quotes, it's really hard to see where one post ends and another begins. I mean I'm not stupid and can look for the picture of a new user, but it's not really easy to skim through as there's no definition.
Lori
When is the last time you upgraded your browser? As that layout looks a lot like the one I have on my work computer which is running IE 8. Getting a newer Browser will fix pretty much all of your issues.
And for your question that number is the number of times some one has thanked a post.
I'm on IE9.
I genuinely appreciate the solution thanks.
Sadly, as already stated, I hate change and I don't really feel it should be up to me to change my computer setup just to read a forum and will probably mean I don't visit as much anymore. That however is my problem not yours, and thanks again for the solution. I really enjoy this place and learn a lot from it, so I'll miss it more than it misses me and will no doubt struggle on when needed.
The lists seem to be having some issues with them. In old sally if you selected numerous lines of text and applied the list function it would apply the needed [*] to each new line which it does not do currently.
This is the first line
This is the second line
This is the third line
In old sally that used to apply the [*] and thus apply the bullets automatically when applying it to a block of text. You can see it applied it to the first line only when I tried it above. It is possible that it could perhaps work differently if you can abandon the whole [*] and just apply a bullet to the start of each line assuming that is an option and not worry about including extra characters then.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
What happened to the titles of individual posts? I actually lost an ongoing tally of my score in one of my forum games - information that simply is not there any more, but previously was there!

Seconding the request to have TCG Player prices as on TCG Player's website when we highlight a card. Would be exceptionally useful, especially in MS Cafe where this information is at the crux of discussion; anything to make it easier to access it at a glance would be awesome.

I seem to understand how [box]-tags work now, and it is different in a way that makes them quite useless. Originally they had a constant width and would have automatically line breaks, but now they seem to expand to fit the longest paragraph into a single line.
I do not dare to check how older meticulously constructed posts of mine look now - I already have no idea how to produce equal width boxes that fit nicely into a column underneath each other with the current functionality.
It would be nice to get the original functionality working again (just as with mana symbol smilies).

Third this. Having L/M/H price above or below the card when hovered would be excellent.
Its kind of wonky because its not displaying the (NON REBELS) portion at all which I found a little surprising. Its sort of an out of the norms sort of thing so I thought I would report it here even though its not something I would do very often there isn't a reason it doesn't show up. I realize that normally the brackets are more for making notes that dont link. I am sure that if I pulled them out of them it would work fine but I dont see a reason that it wouldn't show up at all or work the way I want it to even if there is no text before it.
More complicated layout, an option to subscribe (or get a *****tier experience), the control panel/inbox are complete garbage now (pages per message? still no sorting/search). Seems like a lot of visual distraction for nothing gained (unless you pay ofc). Lame.
That is very interesting that it works due to having an extra line in there... Ok well I guess I will do that for now. Thanks.
EDIT: ehhhhhh wow.... its totally not working even when I try to take it out of the brackets and add spacing... I have no idea whats going on. I am just going to leave it be for as something odd is happening.

I'm of the same impression, part of the reason I've only read a thread or two since the changeover, it's too much of a mess to browse.
It's the major problem I have with most modern web design; big bulky icons and divs with overkill padding. My little 15" screen just can't handle it all.
Third this. Having L/M/H price above or below the card when hovered would be excellent.
Just a bit of a warning on this... When you drag across them now, it pulls from our own server. By putting external data in the pop ups it may make for a whole host of headaches since it would require accessing TCG every time.
When you click on them it does provide TCG prices... but requires that click into another window.

Would accessing TCG Player, say, once per day or every 12 hours and caching the data to our servers for pop-up card images not be feasible? While some card trends are pretty quick, I'm not sure the information loss on getting our data on a 12 hour delay.
Also, unrelated:
The "Latest Post" tab shows the most recently edited / modified OR posted post. Under the old forums, it only shows the most recently posted post. I'd like the old functionality restored.
Trade and Sales posts atuo-bump themselves if you edit them and they are eligible for a bump. I for one would like them not to do this so I can vary the time of day they are bumped.
Apologies this isn't the most appropriate place for this.
In bullet form,
1. Thanks for purchasing MTGS and integrating it into the Curse gaming network.
2. There are some issues with MTGS now. One most key one is accessing MTGS, the forums or threads in the forums is associated with a concomitant spike in CPU usage. Occasionally, my browser (all of the major ones) freeze and, sometimes, a prompt pops up informing me of a non-responsive script. Many of these are for analytics, including, but not limited to, Google's ones and "Script: http://static-dominaria.cursecdn.com/1-0-5154-30198/js/core.js:28".
3. Quoting doesn't exactly work as it used to. I understand that things might change, but surely quoting is supposed to actually quote the text...
Can't remember what my other things were, but they don't seem so important.
Great updates guys. Two issues though. The "What's Happening" topic subscription reminder emails keep informing me about recent "new posts", but in fact I've already read these posts. Also, the links in these emails send me to the first post in the thread, where it would make much more sense to link the new post itself. Thanks!
Is there any way we'll be able to apply a particular set of BBCode to all of our posts like on the old forums? That is, make it so that when we make a post, tags that are set in the options menu are applied to each post. I now I used this functionality to set all of my posts in Trebuchet MS, and a variety of other users, to my knowledge, used this functionality to set their posts in a different colour.
I was originally in the camp of "If it ain't broke why would you fix it". I must say though, my thoughts have changed.
Although I have been a constant user of this site since 2007, I wasn't reading or posting in the main area I usually did, Water Cooler Talk, because I couldn't stand one user that posted an abnormally high amount of threads and responses, and although well-spoken, their threads and responses were just random thoughts or long winded posts that just served to disagree with people for no apparent reason.
Alas, I can now visit my area again thanks to a new feature

Dear kbx41,
You have received a warning at MTG Salvation Forums.
Reason:
-------
Flaming or Other Forms of Misbehavior
Saying that you sometimes wish people (in this case the implication is the staff) would fall down a well and get AIDS is hardly appropriate for the forum.
Being able to remove the censor is one of the few things that I like as well. I also really like the blue on black/gray look of the dark theme. The look of the site is something I could easily get used to. I just wish some (quite a bit) of the old functionality would return.
I would like to take this time to point out that, outside of Galspanic (who is awesome), not a single admin member has posted in this thread with any updates in nearly two days. I said this in the thread I created, but I'll say it again here. I realize most (maybe all?) of these guys are doing this out of the kindness of their heart, but I think this is such a big change that effects such a large amount of people that there should be some sort of admin presence in all of these feedback threads. I'm very disappointed in this lack of attention. Again, as I said over in my thread, something from the Curse guys saying, "We hear ya. We're working it out." would be sufficient. Something.
I know the other admins were busy this weekend, but I think part of it is that we are all feeling a little bummed that we can't say much more than "Added to the list." The list is pretty big and to some people it seems like a "1 step forward, 2 steps back" process. The thing is, progress is being made and the staff and Curse folks are keeping tabs on stuff in here.
I can say that I haven't replied to all the threads because some of them are asking things I have no idea how to answer. Just saying "Gotcha" doesn't seem sufficient and indicates that an issue has been added to the queue... and some have not and may never be.
So, we will get through this and I still believe that the end result will be a site that's as good as our previous home, but with a lot more back end support. By posting in here it's a good thing though - it lets the relevant ears know what you want and who we are as a community. This forum was built from scratch trying to accommodate the users here and if it isn't right we really want to make it right for as many people as possible.
Finally, Curse is posting here, but they tend to post only when they have questions or updates. It's not as often as we may want, but it is happening.
Again I know this would be something for down the line, and may not even be possible but I wanted to throw that Brainstorm out there.
I'm on IE9.
I genuinely appreciate the solution thanks.
