Haven't seen it, but can't imagine its any stronger than the GB dogs, seems the only reason to push out red is faithless and I'm not sure 1 card is enough
I have been messing with this deck the last couple of days and I feel that this deck is pretty hard to play correctly. I think every play I do is a misplay. Does anyone else feel the same way?

the deck does take a bit of practice to get... for weeks Hustle was the only person who had success with it, but recently there have been a few others like youhavenogame who seem to get how it works and are having constant success
I'll believe that it's an actual top-tier deck once we start seeing variants. Right now everyone (and I think there are two guys other than E. Hustle who have placed in the dailies) is running exactly the same list.

I've been told (not sure if its true) that Hustle was the first to run/build the original Dead Dogs list.. I feel this list is just the evolved form of that list.. I personally don't think list variations mean a deck is successful.. if a list can't run with other card choices that doesn't mean the deck isn't good, just that it cannot be improved
This deck is very hard to play correctly. I have seen so many people in the Daily Events using it only to 0-2 drop a few times and move back to a different deck. The two people that have been doing good are very very good players. E. Hustle is in the top 10 wins for Pauper on MTGstats, and he has been the driving force behind basically every version of Tortured Existence decks. Youhavenogame is probably the best new player in Pauper. A while ago he was asking me about my storm list, and was the most successful of anybody that had asked about it. Then he moves onto E. Hustles deck and is the only one besides E. Hustle that can place consistantly with it. It is very understandable that both of these guys can do well.

Standard: Zombies, AntiTusk Vampires, BUG Graveyard, Bant Hexproof, UR Storm Delver Modern: Storm, Jund, Ghast Blaster, Elf Warriors Legacy: RUG Cascade, Imperial Painter, Affinity, Dredge, Elves, Merfolk, Pox, Dragon Stompie, Goblins, ANT, Belcher Classic: Delver, Dredge, Jacerater Draft: I will draft basically any format online (other than Masques) Pauper: MTGO's #1 most handsome Pauper Storm player
The main problem I had with Tortured Existence was that UR Post was a very tough matchup, since frequently games go until late game, and if they just Blaze you in the face, you are pretty much dead.
My solution was a Mindlash Sliver lock, but I wonder if he is able to actually aggro UR out.

actually when you look at the DE results from the past few days (with most BR Tortured showings being run by youhavenogame) the overall record vs. IzzetPost is 7-5 or match record of 3-1
I would like to try this deck out but can't seem to find vendors with Tortured Existence. I've managed to procure exactly 1. Anybody got a good go-to vendor for this sort of stuff?

Contraption is a new artifact type. There are currently no artifacts with this type. And there's no current game meaning of "assemble."

cardbot is usually fully stocked. about 1.30 tix for 3x tortured existence. checked mtgotradersbot, 1 available on the one i checked, same price, .43 tix. i'm sure you can get 3 from those bots, you will have like .70 left over in credit though, so plan some purchases if you want to clear the credit immediately.
Basically it uses Dead Weight plus Auramancer as a creature-killing engine and also uses the Auramancers to let you dredge without a tortured existence in hand/on the board. It's very control intensive and doesn't work very well against u/r post decks.
I also posted a crazy rainbow list in there which is awesome when it works but not very reliable :).

Ah, thanks! Took a while to get a trade through but it had everything I needed for the BW list I'm going to try out. Cheers.

Looks like -2 Gathan Raider, -2 Mogg War Marshall, -1 Snuff Out
+1 Mesmeric Fiend +1 Carrion Feeder +3 Rotting Rats (!)
Sideboard is significantly different - drops the lifestaffs, tragic slip, echoing decays, raven's crime, gatewarden, adds 3 dead weights, 2 extra snuff outs (bringing it to 3 in the board), an extra brownscale, a terminate, and 2 faultgrinders. I have no idea what matchup the faultgrinders are for; can't imagine a 5 casting cost card working in this deck.

2x Death Spark
2x Echoing Decay
3x Faithless Looting
1x Snuff Out
-1 Mogg War Marshal and there's an Oona's Gatewarden in the SB.
The addition of MD decay/snuff out may seem minor, but it makes a big difference.
E. Hustle dredges aggressively. Fearlessly even. on 3-5 lands.. one match i watched i believe he was at 4-5 lands, 15 cards left and a 7 card hand..
one of the matches i watched was actually grapplingfarang vs e. hustle.
