You know, magiccards.info is more of a reason I play Magic than anything actually related to the game/anything wizards decides/anything anyone else in the real world does. It just makes the game better. Thank you.
IDW's Magic: the Gathering Spell Thief #1 has been out for a while it included a promo, alternate art printing of Arrest that isn't currently on Magiccards.info.
I've attached a picture of the comic with the card on top of it.
Magiccards.info is my favorite Magic-related site. I use it frequently, and I'm so glad you've put the time into it. It puts competing sites to shame.
Could you please talk the MTG Commander forum (when it comes back up) into using this site for hyperlinks, as MTGS does, rather than the dismal Deckbox? Thanks.
New operator is:reprint, use in combation with e: ++e:pc2/en not:reprint (Cards that are new in Planechase 2012.) Might have bugs for older editions and promotional cards.
It would be awesome to have this added to the "Is:" dropdown.
I would LOVE to see card prices added as a search criterion. Ideally it would include options for less than, greater than and between for price ranges and allow specification of low, med, high price. The one thing I find myself going to other sites to check is which cards from the new set are worth money without having to click through all the cards in the set.
For whatever reason, any time you click on the first price (lowest) listed for a card from it's detailed information page(the page you come to after searching a card off the magiccards.info search engine), it encounters an error instead of forwarding you to the TCG vendor/price list, clicking on any other 'buy now' link below it will link you normally.
Also, the 'buy now' link just forwards you to a page with the same list over again, instead of selecting the price and vendor you clicked the 'buy now' link from the main card information page. Kind of redundant, any reason for this?
I use Chrome pretty much exclusively for this, just incase that matters.
First off, I want to say that magiccards.info is my go to for card lookup.
One thing I recently came across in making an ulamog EDH deck, is that the color identifier cannot be set to colorless. At least not that I can realize.
Is there a way to add that feature in the next update?
is there any way how to search for cards that have been printed both as commons and rares - like rukh egg for example? thanx for help
for that example yes. And i tested it for the following; which should show all cards that are usable in a karn, ulamog, kozilek (any other colorless general).
(c:c or c:l) not (o:{W} or o:{U} or o:{B} or o:{R} or o:{G})
Agreeing that card prices disappeared, and I'd really like to see them back.
On a feature request: Is there some way to change languages searched by default? I'd really like it if every time I searched, it only looked at English card names instead of foreign ones. Searching for 'Verd Cat' only has one English match (Verdant Catacombs) but it pulls up the Italian version of Greenseeker as well. No big deal, mostly just annoying.
please retore it back to the old ways if this was a legit 'change' to the site. It reall was convenient for smartphone/tablet/mobile device use without having to click and load additional links.
how do you search for a card that you only want 1 mana + colorless.
Ex: i want to search for a creature that costs under 4 mana but with only green mana and the rest in colorless such as 1g, 2g or 3g
So say I wrote a program (very minimalistic) that took in a .txt of a list of cards and produced a .xls of those cards with their rating (from Gatherer), prices (from MagicCards.Info), and whether or not they were Modern Legal (also from MagicCards.Info):
It's really for personal use, I starting playing somewhere around Mirrodin but I've got a bunch of cards going all the way back to some of the older sets (thanks to my uncles) which I wanted to know whether or not were Modern legal. And maybe figure out which of the cards I could make a few profits off.
Would anyone be interested, and where could I share it on these forums?
Cheers
P.S. I'm terribly sorry if this isn't the proper place to ask, but after looking around the forums for some time, this topic shined quite brightly as a potential source of enlightenment.
It's even more relevant now that RtR is out - could you add the possibility of searching by markings - like guild markings or Phyrexian markings or whatever? Gatherer already does this one...but I'd rather use magiccards.info.
Foreign languages for card names are missing for Return To Ravnica from both the Gatherer and MagicCards.info
Is it planned to have them on magiccards.info in a close future ?

Is there a way to add that feature in the next update?
for example: if i want to find all colorless cards that produce mana, it would need to include cards like sol ring and thran dynamo, but exclude cards like altar of shadows or azorius signet.
It would also be a great tool for finding all the lands that can go into a colorless EDH deck if you want to run no basic lands too.
